Crispy Fried w/ Honey Butter (Half)
    Brenda L.

The good: I got the honey butter crispy chicken wings and drumsticks in a half size and the Vons special roasted chicken in the same size. It's an extra $1 for a mix of wings and drumsticks or for wings only. Right now, they have an April promotion where you get 3 drumsticks (forgot which flavor) if you buy a full (20 piece) set. For 2 people, we weren't full with 20 pieces but I think we'd be full with 30. Chicken came with a small side of pickled radish. The bad: I don't think there was outside seating. They didn't have a restroom for customers to use (that I saw). The honey butter powder is a bit artificial. The interior is small. The interesting: I've been to a Korean fried chicken place called Vons in Northern California but I think they're not owned by the same people (?). The interesting:

Good Korean fried chicken spot. Most of their flavors are very tasty with good flavor, however my least favorite is ironically their most popular I believe which is the honey butter flavor, not a fan. My favorite flavor is the Vons special, that ones on point. Other than that the staff is friendly, the place is nice, and parking in the plaza should be fairly easy to find. However, they don't have restrooms. Still recommend for a try.

Are you team baked or fried? Okay by now, we all had or at least heard of Korean friedddd chicken, but have yall had them baked!? Well here at Vons Chicken, they have both baked and fried options; let's go textures! They have different flavors to choose from that range from, spicy, tangy, and sweet. My favorite was the crispy real garlic, which was sweet and savory with a nice garlic kick! My bf enjoyed the Vons special, reminiscent of a good ole cookout! All in all, the staff was super friendly, I liked the variety of options to choose from, the interior was modern and cozy, and the food was a hit! I am definitely team crispy and I have to come back to try more flavors soon! For now 4/5 Tip: Tucked away in Torrance Crossroads Shopping Center, parking is tight, and can get busy. I love how they serve rice just exactly what i needs lol Services on point and the workers are friendly. There is plenty of seating and plenty of parking as it's located in a Plaza. Honey butter fries r their newest fries menu. U can def taste the qualify of the chicken.

Got a half order of the crispy fried drums. Really good chicken. The drums were a good size. The seasoning was mild. The skin was crispy and not oily. The meat was juicy. Service was very friendly. It does take about 10 minutes to cook. However, it's worth the wait.

Fried chicken was great! They live the name of Korean fried chicken. There are the fried ones and the grilled ones. The fried ones are very crispy. Sauces are amazing. No complains. The grilled ones are tender. Just the perfect fried chickens. Servers were extremely lively. The food was very quick. They play Kpop concert in the restaurant. Korean vibes at heart, I love that! Parking was free.

Checkout the teeny tiny Grubhub when you ordered through Yelp. Horrible!!

I love Vons Chicken. The food is delicious but this will be the last time I come here. I spent $49 on 20 "chicken wings" and onion wings for my family. First of all, the definition of a chicken wing is 3 distinct parts. At Vons, they found the drumette and the wingette as separate pieces. Totally wrong and false advertising. The sides of cole slaw and pickled radish is not proportionate to a FULL order of "chicken wings". The order of onion rings claim to be 12, but can you really measure by the numbers as a small ring is certainly less food than a larger ring. Lucky me, I only got 10 rings instead of 12. On the website and in the restaurant, they have a January special. If you order anything "FULL," you get 3 oven roaster garlic chicken pieces for free. Oh, but since I order through the Yelp app which is a link to Grubhub, I not only paid HIGHER PRICES but I wasn't eligible for the special. And I picked up the order, it was not delivery. What gives, Yelp? Bottom line - sucked into paying higher prices, not entitled to the restaurant's special, and my order was short. Delicious food but I will never return. Ok, bye.

This is one of my favorite Korean chicken places in the South Bay. Five stars : customer service fresh orders stamp cards monthly special promos their crunchy fried chicken My family picks up fried chicken from here regularly. And we always get the same thing 1. Full order wings - crunchy fried They use a special batter and it gives it a different crunch to the chicken wings. We especially love this chicken because there is no added spice therefore even my 2 year old son can eat this well. Usually when I get chicken wings from other stores - they still have some kind of spice that makes it spicy for the little ones. My 6 year old devours the chicken wings 2. Full order wings - Yang yum (spicy or mild) We usually get mild for our family but when we get this for our friends we always go with the spicy. They are so good and irresistible. Such a popular dish for potlucks!! Every month this location has promos and deals. They seem to want their customers to try out the other flavors so always ask what the promo is for the month. Inside the location is quite small so not too for large groups to dine in One of the reasons we love coming here is the customers service. There is one gentleman that always tries to greet their customers in Korean (clearly he's not Korean) and the level of politeness from him really leaves the place with a pleasant feeling. They also have a stamp card therefore for us we always fill it up and receive a fee half order of your choice.

Yummy Korean fried chicken! They offer both crispy and oven chicken options with tons of different flavors! My favorite was the honey butter. It's both sweet and savory which I looove. I got the cheddar fries too and I love how much seasoning they put! The customer service is amazing, everyone is SO kind! 10/10 amazing service. The place is small but clean and modern looking. Perfect for a quick bite!

Our go-to chicken wing place for game day. We tried their sauced wings but our favorite is always the original wings with no sauce. For healthier option, we get Boneless Ssam. They're good, carb free and the portion is big~ Service is always good. I think price is reasonable.

I've heard about Vons in Norcal and I'm so happy it's in SoCal now! Padak (green onion chicken) - Crispy Chicken with Mustard Flavor and Sweet Wine Flavor Sauce and green onion Our absolute favorite! I'm not a fan of green onions, but the combination is magical. You get the sweet and salty notes and it's balanced so well. Soy & Black Vinegar Chicken - Sweet harmony of sour taste of black vinegar and salty taste of soy sauce Really good! It's not too sour, don't worry. Crispy Yang-Nyum - Crispy Chicken with Sweet and Sour or Spicy Tasty Marinated Seasoned Chicken Loved the sauce on this! The mild isn't too spicy, so try spicy if you want a kick! Boneless Ssam - A premium menu of boneless chicken thigh meat wrapped in ssam radish and dipped in fresh colorful vegetables and sauce I've never seen this before and was in awe about how delicious it worked together. The ssam radish is pickled and goes well with the chicken and veggies nicely. The boneless chicken is so good on its own - I kept eating it non-stop! Kimchi Fried Rice - My first time I'd seen bell peppers in kimchi fried rice. Very solid! Not to mention, their fried chicken is huge!! Can't wait to come back!

I took away the original oven baked wings. I was very skeptical of getting that option since it was the only options available for a lunch five piece. However, I did really like the way it tasted as an alternative option from fried. The service was quick and efficient, however, I had to wait 15 minutes for my order to be done. Although I did not stay in the restaurant seems to be like a fast food type of restaurant with good vibe ,

Korean fried chicken is the BEST !! We we're welcomed by a women who was such a sweetheart. She went over the menu thoroughly. We ordered the 20 piece bone-in wings. Soy garlic flavor. One of my favorites! So much flavor it's insane. They also sell sides & Korean alcohol beverages. Casual ambience to chill & have flavorful chicken. Will definitely return.

Make sure to double check the hours on google or yelp because chances are, they're probably open! The fried chicken itself is really good. If you're doing pickup or delivery, I don't recommend getting the chicken tossed in sauce because you'll lose that great crispiness by the time you get home. The move is to order the regular fried chicken and get the sauces on the side instead. Just a heads up, sauces are about $1.50 each. The habanero garlic sauce is a good one -- they're veryyyy generous with the fresh habaneros and it has great flavor. One thing that surprised me about the chicken is the batter. It's not the typical Korean fried chicken style with a thinner coating -- the batter here is thicker, more like an American-style fried chicken crust. Honestly though, it's sooo good. The crisp on the chicken is great and really satisfying. I do wish they offered a spicy powder or dry seasoning option without sauce though. That would be amazing. The unexpected highlight for me is the Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Wow. The flavor is so good -- really aromatic, creamy, and well balanced without being numbing. It's honestly delicious, and dipping the fried chicken in the sauce is next level. What really brought me back to this place after my first try was the Mala Rose Ddukbokki!! I CRAVE IT!!!! They also have a kimchi fried rice side option which is a nice addition if you want something extra with the meal. I really appreciate the side of mac salad they have here too since they use the big elbow macaroni!!! I'm all about textures! Overall, really solid fried chicken and a standout Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to. Already salivating thinking about the Mala Rose

They fry the chicken when you order so it's about a 15-20 minute wait. The flavor the soy garlic is delicious. It's not overly garlicky nor overly sweet. It's so crispy and even a few days later the chicken was still yummy. I'll definitely come back!

Points to any place that serves actual meals past 10:00 PM! I'll admit the reviews and photos had me leaning skeptical, but now I'm just super duper sad that Yelpers aren't giving this place the love it truly deserves. The service was genuine and friendly, inviting, attentive, and fast! The sit-down space is clean, has plenty of seating and tables, and the music was really pleasant. Straight up, this is the kind of place where the food isn't exactly fodder for taking a bunch of social media pics--an element of dining which has sadly become a *must* for too many. HOWEVER, good humans and true Yelpers alike know that only the lamest people in the world make food decisions based solely on photobragging ops. Give us the tasty foodz with the real smiles, and we'll sing your praises forever and ever. I'm happy to say this IS the kind of place that you can and will enthusiastically push people into when they're looking for something that'll hit the spot at any hour. We had the classic cut 1/2 chicken dinner, and the Lomito sandwich, and our server brought out and described three of their house-made sauces to go with the meal. The green one and the yellow one are delicious, but I honestly don't think sauces are even necessary because this food was PACKED with flavor. The sandwich roll was tasty and fresh, and held up perfectly despite all the things it was stuffed with. It managed to hold in all the filling and sauces without falling apart or getting weird soggy. The steak inside was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The veggies were, too. $18 for just a sandwich and no sides seemed a little high to me, but once I bit into it I understood the price. I'm pretty sure there was the equivalent of an 18oz. ribeye in that beast. The chicken had me gnawing on the bones like a dog. Not even gonna lie, I managed to eat way more of a chicken wing than I've ever eaten in my life thanks to how this place cooks it up. A lot of the bone was somehow not only edible, but delicious AF. How do you cook a chicken wing with bones that crunch like chicharrón?! Unlike many roasted chicken places where only the skin and the dark meat manage to maintain the seasoning, this chicken was juicy rich with flavor in every bite--even the white meat. The skin was super crispy, all the fat properly rendered. We finished the entire meal and were completely stuffed. Our server came up to us and asked if everything was okay, and if we liked her food.
