For the family of four including small kids smallest box x 2 flavors seems enough but def recommend at least trying two flavors. Wish they had a box which allows us to order multiple flavors. I always love this place when I am craving Korean Fried Chicken. I love trying all the sauces. This was the first time I had wings instead of boneless chicken. This was also the first time I tried the secret sauce chicken! The wings were good size and the sauce was delicious! I also ordered the rose ddeok-bokki (because it's slightly less spicy than regular) and it was SO tasty! I love the rice cakes and I love the sauce. I've seen several bb.q's but did not try it until the last day of 2025. Just a brief side note, that this location is just a block away from the Center for Health and Fitness gym on Prospect Ave in Redondo Beach. I walked in and immediately saw one the gym trainers waiting for his order. I joked to him that I felt pressure to order something healthy since he was there! And he said no, there has been so much decadent food in their breakroom due to the holidays. He later got his order which was a bag of 4 boxes. Anyway, the wings combo (good value!), fries, and fountain drink was a winner! Honey garlic wings were delicious! Fries were perfect and crispy. I chose water for my drink. First time trying this place. I had the spicy original bone-in wings with fries. I loved the wings! They were crunchy and the spice level had a nice kick to it. I've been here and tried this new spot near my place, and it's hands down the BEST Korean fried chicken in Redondo Beach! We ordered the half size of Golden Original and Secret Sauce. Golden Original was incredibly crispy, juicy, and nailed that perfect classic taste. But wow, the Secret Sauce Chicken totally stole the show. It looks spicy but it's actually the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and slightly sour. It was so addictive that we literally asked for extra sauce on the side! We walked in to eat, but the space is cozy with only a few 2-person tables, so I'd definitely recommend takeout to enjoy it at the beach or at home. We paid $27 after tax for a small order of boneless chicken, sweet potato fries, and one tiny cup of sauce. The batter on the fried chicken is normally why I would prefer Korean fried chicken over American, but this batter just tasted like the fried chicken at the local Ralph's/Vons. I also was not thrilled that all of the chicken was dark meat. If I had known that before ordering, I probably would have not ordered. I also didn't think it was cool to charge me $1 extra for a tiny cup of sauce when I ordered the chicken plain, surely they could throw in 1 cup for free since they are so small. The sweet potato fries were fine but nothing special. Overall the meal was very mediocre to me. It seemed like there was only one person working the front and back so we had to use the tablet to order. My son and I just went for the first time and twere pleasantly surprised. The chicken was absolutely delicious! It's a bit expensive but now we've tasted it we would say it's totally worth it. But maybe even more important is that we were helped by the nicest worker. I don't know his name but he's a senior at El Segundo High and plays, and loves soccer. I have had this on my list to try for a while after seeing how tasty it looked on some k-dramas! I got a take out order since there aren't many tables inside. Ordered an 8 pc original fried chicken and an order of fries. Both were great, especially the fries. They are perfectly seasoned and crispy and the portion is huge! The 8 pc original fried chicken perfectly seasoned as well and just the right amount of crisp on the batter. The only thing I should have done differently was taken the advice of many yelp reviews and tried the wings instead since the pieces on the whole fried chicken are on the smaller side not as big as Popeyes, and I prefer the juiciness and tenderness of wing meat to some pieces of breast in the whole fried chicken. To start off, my family and I have been an avid fan of bb.q Chicken and was very excited to hear that a location would pop up in Redondo Beach. Since then, we've ordered many times, and the chicken has been consistently great. However, one thing that has always disappointed us was the "$1.99" radish. Although expensive in comparison to other Korean chicken spots (who give radish for free), we always ordered it. Today, the radish portion in one of the containers was unbelievable. It was a third of the amount of radish they usually give. Totally not worth the 1.99 for the tiny container and portion of radish. All have always been excellent (although one would be truly bad to ruin white rice!!!). One menu item I have ordered several times, is the onion rings. First couple of times I ordered them they were some of the best I had ever had. Unfortunately of late they have been overcooked to a point of burnt on the one order.
