When i walked in, i was greeted VERY enthusiastically by the cashier. He seemed genuinely excited to help and asked if i needed suggestions. I went with a chicken sandwich combo with wet lemon pepper sauce and blue cheese dressing. He said i had made an excellent choice. He gave me a cup to fix my drink. The restaurant was clean and the cashier was on top of cleaning the tables. I don't know where the gloves materialized from, but he had gloves while cleaning tables. We also had a great conversation, which was a plus. It took about 7 minutes for my food to be cooked fresh. The cashier took the time to thank me for coming to eat with them. What an excellent choice, I ordered Cajun Chicken Sandwich combo with French fries with Ranch dressing and a Dr. Pepper. Wife and I stopped in after pickleball on a whim a few weeks ago. I've seen commercials for Wingstop for a long time but had never been to one; always assumed it was just quick, average fried chicken/wings. I was completely wrong. The location looks new but you can tell the kitchen space is clean as well as the lobby. Ordered a 15 piece lemon pepper to go and these wings were crisp, hot, and proportionately sized. The fries were hot as well and ranch came with. Phenomenal. I've thoroughly enjoyed wings for the past ~25 years of my life and have to say those were some of the best I've ever had. All of this was after 9pm so hats off to the workers and management here. PS Came back a month later and had the exact same experience. I really love their lemon pepper wings. I ordered 5 lemon pepper and 5 original hot. Both were tasty but once it was all said and done , I wish I had only gotten lemon pepper. The original hot wings were good but did not settle well. I had MAJOR reflux afterwards. I requested all flats , fried hard. Only about 3 of my 10 wings were fried hard. I ended up putting them in the oven to reach my desired level of satisfaction. Sigh The fries are always good! This was no different today. I never have an issue with service here. We ordered 5 orders of 2 tenders (it was a 2 for $2 special) so in total 10 tenders, plus fries at 6pm (6:08 to be exact), came to pick up at 6:25, grabbed my order, and this is where I went wrong: I DIDNT STOP TO CHECK MY ORDER. We drove home and realized we were missing 4 tenders. My husband and I weren't going to share just 6 tenders so I called, they told me to come back and clarify what was wrong. We drive back, it's now 6:45. We explain we're missing 2 orders of 2 tenders. We're helped immediately and given 2 tenders in 5 min. We explain again we're still missing another order. Then we stand there for another 15 minutes. I then go up to check on the LAST TWO TENDERS and they FORGOT. They give me the two tenders in THIRTY SECONDS after I asked. It was ready. Just forgotten. I got the 8pc combo, half lemon pepper and half Louisiana cajun which comes with fries, ranch and a soda.... cost about $12 total. I arrived later than my pickup time and my order still wasn't ready. I waited in the seating area for about 10 mins. Although they didn't seem very crowded, others were waiting as well. The food came fresh and hot. At first glance, I was not impressed by the look of the wings... they didn't look well seasoned, maybe because both were dry flavors. The cajun turned out to be very yummy. I wasn't very unimpressed with the lemon pepper... it could've used a bit more seasoning for me. But the fries and the ranch were soooo good. That may be the sole reason for a return visit from me. I have 2 occurrences that have happened. I went with some family and 3 of our boneless wing orders were straight raw. My husbands friend bought him some and he ordered wings, fries and corn. Was skeptical about this place at first given the reviews, but I was hella impressed! We got a variety of boneless wings to try and the garlic parm and especially the lemon pepper was good. The lemon pepper has a slight sweetness and they were amazing. Their fries definitely have that "homemade" fry taste. They are not crispy at all, but I had the voodoo fries (cheese cause, ranch, and Cajun seasoning) after 1 hour of travel and still absolutely loved them. Wingstop's ranch is excellent. Recently this area on Montgomery Hwy was cleared and a strip mall type building appeared with spaces for about 6 businesses. Driving by it I waited and waited and the first business that opened up on the end was none other than this Wingstop! I have not been to the location on 280 so I was excited to give this a try. They are located across from Advance Auto Parts in a brand new shopping/business complex. Parking is somewhat limited especially when the rest of the complex becomes occupied by other businesses. Right now, Wingstop has the run of the place. Their dining area is compact and they have about 12 small tables with chairs spaced rather close together. So to adhere to Health policy, if you're dining in, you'll want to sit every other table. There are at least 2 large screen tvs as well. There's a drink dispenser and then an ordering counter with large menus. Their menu is uncomplicated and rather simple. They only have 11 flavors (so far): Original Hot, Mild, Lemon Pepper, Hickory smoked bbq, Atomic, Mango Habanero, Cajun, Spicy Korean bbq, Louisiana Rub, Garlic Parmesan and Hawaiian. The 3 "dry rubs" are of course Lemon Pepper, Louisiana Rub and Garlic Parmesan. The rest are generously coated with their respective sauces. You can choose bone-in or tenders. Their sides include: seasoned fries, cheese fries, Louisiana voodoo fries, buffalo ranch fires, veggie sticks, baked rolls and Cajun fried corn. They also have one dessert: Triple chocolate chunk brownie. I've only tried their bone-in Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero, Louisiana Rub and Spicy Korean. All the drumettes and wings (I thought) were on the small side compared what I would consider a normal side chicken wing. All were fried nicely and when you eat them freshly cooked a little nice wisp of steam should be released when you first bite into one! The Lemon pepper had that good zesty lemon flavor and was nicely speckled with black pepper. The Mango habanero is legit HOT! And it wasn't even their hottest which is the Atomic. So be prepared to guzzle a drink or reach for that celery stick! The Spicy Korean had a nice asian blend of garlic, ginger, sriracha with flecks of red pepper for a nice sweet and spicy flavor. But my favorite was the Louisiana rub! It was almost like the Lemon Pepper but with a little more kick. It was hard to pick out what was exactly in their La Rub, but I'm guessing it was the standard paprika, cayenne, garlic, oregano, pepper, etc. Whatever it was, it was delectable! Yom Yom Yom! Oh I tried their side of Cajun fried corn and it was surprisingly delicious. It was just a corn cob cut into one inch slices, flash grilled and tossed with their cajun seasoning. Yom Yom. It's hard to mess up wings right? You fry em up then coat em. Wings are like fried rice in Chinatown... everyone cooks em and Wingstop does an excellent job. Be prepared to wait especially on a football weekend. They suggest you place your order well in advance online or on the phone. Whew let me tell you about the service I received at this location. I ordered my food on their website for delivery which went through DoorDash. I waited patiently and even received a message that my food was delivered followed immediately by a message saying my food order was canceled. I called Wingstop and asked to speak with a manager. The manager rudely told me that I need to call DoorDash because someone came to pick my order up and they took it I advised that I never got my food and I asked could I just pick it up. She said NO! I just had the best cheeseburger I have ever eaten at Wings Plus 5 in Hoover, Al. My son was wanting some wings and this store is close to home and has good wings. I didn't want wings so I looked at the menu on line and decided on a Cheeseburger with onion rings. The onion rings were very good, so I had some hope that the burger would be good. When I picked up the burger it was heavy and I figured I would at least have enough to eat. I opened the foil covering the burger and saw a nice patty with all the usual toppings, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. It was a good start. With the first bite my senses were overcome by the wonderful flavors. I have eaten burgers at all of the chains and most other burger places in Birmingham.
