Needed some late night food after a concert and saw this spot was open. We came in at 11:30, knowing they chose at 12. Wings are one of the few fast food junky treats I can have on keto. Ordered on Door Dash and got them at lightning speed. About 20 mins or less. Price was a bit cheaper than most places. Taste was okay but too salty for me. I would say I was irritated that a pack of ranch costs extra and none was included with 15 wings. I get extra packs costing more but one should be included with an order. Overall I'll order again. I may just have to get them plain or with sauce on the side to avoid the sodium migraine. Everyone was really nice, but this spot just didn't do it for me. The fried catfish was tuuuuuurrible. The ranch was Ken's packet (yuck) I prefer homemade. The fries were awful. No flavor. We decided to try the new Wings R King restaurant last night that's in the Publix shopping plaza on Valleydale and Caldwell mill. Anna could eat buffalo wings 3 meals a day. I don't like them. Anna ordered 15 wings, $12.99 I had a double cheeseburger combo, which is a huge double cheeseburger, hand cut fries and a drink, $9.49. We spent $25.47 on some of the best food we have ever eaten in the area. It does take a little longer, maybe 5 or 10 minutes, but they cook everything fresh, everything is homemade. They have everything from Wings, Chicken fingers, fried tilapia, Jumbo fried Shrimp, Burgers, Chicken sandwiches. The prices are so low its amazing. We will never eat fast food anywhere else. The wife and I came up from Decatur to spend the day at the Zoo. After a long day in the heat and sun we wanted something different to eat. The wife a month earlier was in Birmingham on an overnight trip with work and DoorDashed Wings R King for her and our daughter. Having traveled to many states with my former employer I have eaten at many different places and a lot of different food. I will say that the young man behind the counter gave us very good service and was very polite. When we received our order it was hot and looked great. The sauce was just the right amount and had a very well balanced flavor. We both got the Garlic Parmesan and the King Blend. The King Blend is a dry rub and I was quite impressed with its flavor. The wings were deep fried to perfection, being crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. We even requested that the fish is fried hard (meaning a little longer than usual). I don't even know how you can fail to cook fish completely through. My response, "I think it is up to you to devise an adequate solution since I'm not the one who sent someone raw fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Needless to say all his solutions included me needing to leave work (what I was trying to avoid by ordering DoorDash and paying the delivery and tip fees) and come and have to food replaced. I ended up reporting the instance to DoorDash and having $11 of the $25 I spent refunded in a credit to use at DoorDash.
