This is my go to wing place. They have revamped their menu and wing flavors. I say these are the best wings you can get in hoover. Their new sauces are really good. My favorite are the Thai chili and the mango habanero. They have softener things you can try. I say these flavored wings and the okra are the best things on the menu. So this place isn't too bad at all. Maybe not the greatest wings of all time, but definitely adequate if you're craving wings and in the area. Its sort of small inside with just a handful of tables, but not usually too busy to find a seat. They have a variety of wings flavors...but no teriyaki. The times I've been they've cooked the fries to order so they've been hot and crispy so you don't have to worry about getting soggy fries. Besides wings they've also got a few sandwiches on the menu, which I haven't had but that I assume must be decent given that the wings, fries etc are pretty good. Overall it's really just kind of a low key wing spot. Nothing really remarkable, but nothing really bad. Predictable, adequate, and a good value. I'm pretty sure I'll be back if I'm in this area and start to crave wings. read more

Worst Customer Service My 81-year-old mother and I had a flat in the parking lot across from Wing It! in almost 100-degree weather. While waiting for AAA, we decided to get something to eat here. After finishing our meal, the manager told us we had to leave. I explained our situation, but he still asked us to leave. No one else was in the establishment and we only needed to stay out of the heat for less than 30 minutes. This is the worst kind of customer service and human kindness. A terrible place. The wing are small and over cooked to the point they were dry and hard. Their cheap on everything but the price. Wings had little to no seasoning, the Philly was cheap frozen meat, the tomato was over ripe, the fries are undercooked, and when it came for ketchup she put it on there for you and barely put it on there , and wants to charge if you want more, and on top of all that when you ask for a refill because the food is so dry, she wants to charge even more. She is rude as well. I watched as she was rude to three other customers before she was rude to me. The food also smelled. I suggest going next door to Little Caesars because their wings are better and their not even a wing place. read more

I absolutely love a good wing spot and when I lived in Hoover this was my go to place! I was doing some shopping in the area and decided to stop by and grab some wings. I ordered half lemon pepper and hot lemon pepper. The service is has always been quick, easy and friendly. The prices are good too. They have many items to choose from such as, fried shrimp, burgers, salads, wings and even corn dogs. I got home and opened the box and was disappointed. The lemon pepper wings hardly had any lemon pepper seasoning on them and the hot lemon pepper was not hot at all. The wings were fried VERY hard (don't get me wrong I like crunchy wings, it these were to the point they were dry). I doused then in ranch dressing but that didn't help at all. I can't blame it on them being busy because it was just me and another couple waiting on our orders. I have tried the wings a few times and have always been happy with the selection of flavors. I invited a friend to join me on my last visit. He had not been before. He was quit impressed . This could be a regular stop before the movies at the Lorna Road theater. ( you know the one I mean) The wings come 10 to the order with a side of fries. The plate comes with drumettes and wings. 'Wing It' is located in a street mall with Bargain Hunt and Little Caesars. The restaurant serves wings, burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc. I ate here about 7 or 8 times since last year or so. Mostly wings & fries combo. I've tried it hot, medium, and mild. They are distinctively different and all tasted great. The wings are not dried up or old, they were all very tender. The sauces were so good too - not too spicy but just enough spice to kick up your appetite. Fries are perfectly crispy - they pair up so well with wings and ranch. There were a few times that I ordered 1 more combo before heading out. The owners and staffs are very nice and they serve you as quickly as they can despite having lots of phone orders. While I was dining in, most customers were taking the wings home rather than dining in. Whenever I don't have an appetite, I come here to get some wings, fries and a cup of sweet tea. This is the worst place ever the person taking my order hung up on me halfway through, she was rude and VERY impatient. Ordered $50 worth of food along with 3 fountain drinks. Having ordered hot wings - the drinks were going down quickly. However, we were only allowed one FREE refill each. Was told that after receiving one FREE refill that we needed to pay $.50 for another refill!!! This is not listed on the menu, wall, or told to you upon ordering.
