I however do enjoy their chicken tender combo as I think it's good value - 3 chicken tenders tossed in whatever sauce you want with a dip and a side and drink for 10 bucks! I always get the garlic parm which is like a dry rub which is bursting with buttery garlic flavor. The fries can be sad - if they are fresh they are delicious but otherwise they are sad. The fried cajun corn is the star of the show along with the ranch in my opinion. The restaurant was really clean, the condiments area was stocked, Coke Freestyle machine didn't have a lot of missing flavors like other restaurants and the staff was really respectful. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Wingstop offers a few options for those struggling with dairy and gluten sensitivities. I was able to enjoy plain wings with a few different sauces and fries which was great. I have to make mention that all products are fried in the same grease, but they use filtering to try to stop cross contamination so it's helpful. I'm so glad that I finally gave WingStop at Oakley a try. The service was super quick, efficient, and order was correct, even down to cooking my wings hard. Stopped by the new Oakley location for a lunch break. I've never been to any Wingstop locations before. As I've noticed they have been popping up all over the area in recent years; it was time I gave it a try. Very simple menu. You order at the counter and pay. Next you choose bone-in or boneless wings. You choose your sauce. 18 minutes later they bring it to your table. The wings were decent quality. Not the best I've had, but still delicious. Where to start. I guess with the redeeming qualities, the host was super nice! And I think she said it was her first job so she did good for how busy it got. Let's start with the service. I looove some good wings..and I was super psyched when a Wingstop location opened up in Oakley. I have seen Wingstop locations here and there and was always curious if they were any good..and now that there was a location nearby I could finally try them. Now, I ordered takeout from Wingstop..I think it's a bit unfair to judge certain places based off of takeout orders because the food is just not going to be as good as if you're eating it fresh out of the kitchen. Some foods just don't "travel" well. But I will try to give an honest review with that in mind. First of all service here was awesome. I very easily placed my order using the Wingstop app, and the food was ready exactly when they said it would be. The location is pretty nice..it's new so it's obviously going to be neat and clean. Parking is a bit iffy..they have a very awkward parking lot with only a very few spots. No idea what you would do if all the spots were taken..park at nearby Mad Tree Brewery and walk? I'm sure Mad Tree wouldn't appreciate that..but there really aren't that many other options. The person who waited on me was really great. He was one of the managers and he gave some excellent customer service. Like I said, the food was ready the second I walked in the door, and he made sure that I had everything in my order, asked if I had tried them before (I hadn't) and assured me that I would love the wings (we'll get to that). I was in and out in less than five minutes. Couldn't ask for a friendlier faster experience. Now onto the food. I ordered some boneless chicken, 1/3 mild, 1/3 hot, and 1/3 spicy Korean. I ordered ranch and blue cheese as my dipping sauces, as well as a side of their Buffalo Ranch Fries. As I stated before, some food just does not travel well, and fries are definitely in that category. The fries were very soggy. For sure something I would like to try again if/when I go back to eat-in at this location. Onto the wings..so they weren't bad. I could not tell the difference between the hot and mild tho. They did have a decent flavor to them..but nothing out of this world. The spicy Korean wings I did enjoy more. They had the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. All the wings were surprisingly crisp and tender for being take-out. What really stood out was their dipping sauces, especially the blue cheese. It was so good! Smooth and creamy..one of the better blue cheese sauces I've tried. The ranch was great as well..very distinct and flavorful. Would highly recommend both. I took advantage of one of their online coupons which was for 25 wings for $15.99 (yes, I ate wings for days). A hell of a deal for the overall quality of the wings. So, yeah, I guess this would be overall a 3 - 3.5 star review, but I'm bumping it up to 4 because of: 1. the take-out factor, 2. the ease of ordering, 3. the excellent customer service, and 4. the great value. Wingstop is decent! I've heard and seen Wingstop for years but never had a desire to try them because I'm not a wing person. However, my husband wanted to try them so we did. We ordered a 15 Piece Mix-and-Match chicken combo and a 7 piece crispy tenders combo. The mix and match is a mix of boneless chicken and bone in chicken wings. We got to pick two flavors for our chicken which was Cajun and BBQ. The tenders we got plain for the kids. All of the food was pretty good. I'm not a wing person and the wings were pretty good. The tenders were cooked perfect and actually good as well. The Cajun wings were a little spicier than I expected, but they were yummy. The bbq sauce on the boneless wings was typical restaurant bbq sauce, nothing special. The fries were good as well. Of course they were a tad soggy because we ordered ours to go. I'm here to admit my addiction to Wing Stop Garlic Parmesan wings. OMG! So, I never heard of Wing Stop until I saw their new place on Madison in Oakley. The hubs decided to bring some home one evening- a mix of mild and parmesan, classic wings, an order of seasoned fries and veggie mix with ranch dip. Wings were still hot & crispy when he got home with great parm/garlic flavor. My only complaint is the celery was water logged and smushy (carrots were fine). The location is small and clean- just a few tables, so clearly the intent is for a 'to go' experience. Very nice cashier (who now knows my order by heart). Parking is wonky- only a few spaces. They are similar to 5 guys but with more sugar coating to get your kicks! Only beef is with their parking. As anyone knows in this section of Oakley, it's getting really busy. The entrance to get into their parking lot is right next to busy intersection so depending on which direction your car is headed, you may have to turn around in order to "turn right" into parking.
