So I'm going to begin by stating that the meals I've had at Wings Over Springfield are not the issue. The issue is that after placing an order online which stated that my meal would be ready in 15 minutes I actually had an additional 45 minute wait time to get my meal. I arrived and was told it would be 10 minutes more which was ok even though they did not appear to be that busy. It was only when it took over half an hour more that I asked to speak with the manager. The manager made it seem like it was a corporate issue that the online process didn't work right. I received another excuse that they were busy because of the holiday (MLK Day) I told the manager that an hour wait for food ANYWHERE is unacceptable. There's not a restaurant or fast food place that the customer would tolerate that. I was again told that there's nothing that can be donee about it. I told the manager that I would tell anyone I know not to go to Wings Over and that I will be contacting corporate with my complaints. The food,very good. Good food, good people, good times... I really like the wings at Wings Over, it's usually really good! I actually live closer to another Wings Over, but I drive out of the way to this one because the people and the food are both good. Service is especially important to me and for a middle of the road joint, this place is pretty good. I've been here at least a dozen times, for both take out and dining in, and I've been pleased. I can't say that for three of their other locations, but hey, you don't always have friendly people everywhere in the world. By the way, I would also recommend their Westfield location. read more

Granted, getting a good delivery in Springfield is difficult, but just because you've cornered the market doesn't give you the right to be cavalier about customer service. Our waffle fries withy cheese had no cheese,the "wimpy" wings were very spicy and the delivery driver gave us a dollar back because he forgot a soda. When I called to complain they did offer to send out another order of fries but it was too late. A credit for the bad fries would have been nice but instead the person just gave me excuses, we check all our orders but that one just got by me. I'm torn here because they have the absolute best wings I've ever tasted (and probably ever will) but everytime I order from them (this includes deliveries and me waiting in their dining area) I've had to wait more than an hour and inquire about where my order was before it arrived. If your eating in the dining room, try to get Sam C, she's very pleasant & knows the menu very well, and offers suggestions when needed. My favorite is when you go in there and your welcomed and waited on very quickly especially when Sam works. The chicken here is always very good. I find that the pricing is a little ridiculous. For a family of four to eat it usually costs us around $50. That is a little much. I also don't like how they only give you so much ranch or blue cheese and then charge you for extra. More chicken you order the more dipping sauce should be provided. Here are the issues I have had: When it comes to the food, it has gotten greasier over the years, but at least it's fresh... I know this because I accidentally ingested a deep fried feather with a piece of chicken... no biggy, I've eaten worse. What I can't tolerate is; unreliable customer service confusing delivery for pick-up, causing me and my family to wait hungry for hours, only to have to call back and have someone tell me it will be another 45 minutes to deliver... We just cancelled and ordered pizza instead. Furthermore, I had the unfortunate experience of witnessing blatant racist treatment toward patrons, and unprofessional behavior and conversations. I understand the employees are probably high School kids; but having to explain to my little one that such behavior is not only unacceptable, but deplorable was painful. That was the last straw. Boneless and Bone in wings are equally good despite people leaning toward boneless at this particular location. Called ahead to place order at 6:18pm. Was told 20-25 minutes. Arrived around then, paid, and sat. And sat. And watched the line of waiters grow. The numbers they called out were close to 30 behind my #218. Guy was waiting on a 180 something!!! At 45 minutes, I asked (again) how long. The girl checked and said 2 minutes. I said, "really?" Then she offered a refund which I quickly took. Now for disaster #2. She literally turned her computer upside down to show me it said "void." She did this because she took and crumpled my receipt, then printed about 4 more and crumpled those and threw away. Claimed she didn't know how to print a void..... She left to go get help & I left to help myself. This is not the first issue here. During my wait, I watched one of the girls cramming food in her face, wipe mouth with hand, and answer phone while still chewing. ?!?!? This place is a mess. If basic sanitation and customer service cannot be followed in the front, what kind of slow train wreck is happening in the back? They fry wings!!!! Not rocket science.
