I visited for the first time for lunch around 1 pm. The place is very clean and bright - I found myself wanting to be in there since it seemed so cheery. The cashier was so friendly and helped me pick out wings as I had no knowledge of how spicy the different buffalo sauces were. In the end my boyfriend and I split the meal that has 3 choices of wings and a large fries and two drinks for about $24. We got the honey bbq, a not as spicy buffalo, and the lemon pepper dry rub. IT WAS SO TASTY. The wings are delicious and are not breaded too much. The fries taste almost like Arby's fries but better. Overall we had a fantastic lunch. We waited maybe 15 minutes at most, but the wait was well worth it. The staff is very attentive and the experience was fantastic. We were walking around Ithaca when we stumbled across this clean-looking, humble wing restaurant. The service was quick and the staff were very accommodating to our group of around 15-20 people. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a drink. Everything was delicious and the buffalo sauce wasn't too spicy (it also came with blue cheese sauce). Great food, poor service. At 12:30 pm, I placed an order for pickup between 6:30pm and 6:45pm. I got there around 6:35 pm and it wasn't ready. That wasn't a problem, because it wasn't 6:45 pm yet. What happened next is though... The cashier indicated that I would get a text when it was ready, but around 6:45 pm, I hadn't gotten a text. After waiting in the rain for my order, I went back in around 6:50 pm and asked what was going on after explaining that I placed my order six hours in advance and the cashier said, "We've just been really backed up." Then I asked if they can check to see if it's on the table with some of the orders, and they found out it's there. The cashier asked if I got a text, and I said "No." Again, no apology from the cashier. Going forward, management needs to do a better job of managing orders. If they have a high volume of orders, they shouldn't overbook and commit to having more orders ready at a certain time than they are capable of doing. And when they make a mistake (on the lack of texting or poor operations management), they should own up and apologize. If they had shown the courtesy of apologizing, I would have given them the benefit of the doubt, as we all make mistakes, but because of this lack of remorse, I feel the need to give a marginal review for this place. read more

Because as I stood before the cashier, about to pay for my order, I saw the guy in back sneeze - twice - into his bare hand, and then wipe it on his shirt, then sample some scraps from the food prep area. I asked the cashier if that person was going to be making my food. She said yes. I told her I just watched him sneeze twice into his bare hand, and there was no sign a hand washing was imminent. At this point, what do you do? Demand that cashier tell the guy to wash his hands before making your food? What other breaches of sanitary protocol might he be responsible for?
