combo over rice (chicken & lamb)
John L.

I've eaten many halal platters in NYC and would go as far to say that it's one of my favorite things to eat. Adam Grill makes a legit halal platter with his own twist. Instead of diced cubes of meat that you'd typically see in NYC-style platters, his chicken and lamb is cut into strips. The result is that the strips come out crispy and juicy. The lamb is packed with flavor and the chicken is pretty solid too though I'll say that the lamb is the real MVP here. The platter portions are generous for $10 and includes really good basmati rice with some salad greens.

Got the gyro & the chicken and rice platter with the white and red sauce! The man knows how to grill! Easily one of the best grilled meat. Crispy, moist and delicious. Generous portions too

Chicken over rice

Lovely family run place. Staff is always so friendly. I got the chicken over rice. Food was very yummy but the chicken specifically was a little greasy and burnt. Rice and grilled onions are delicious. Would recommend the falafel over rice here.

Lamb plate. Did not disappoint!! $9

Made me incredibly sick. Won't ever go back. Ordered the chicken over rice and something tasted off. Definitely paid for it.

Amazing. The jewel of Cornell. Thank you, frat house food truck, for sustaining me with affordable,…read moredelicious comfort food all these cursed years. Especially late nights when friends and I happen to be on campus. The local skunks who amble up to the picnic benches looking for stray fries even have their charm. I may name them. I miss having friends living in the house directly in front of the truck, so I could just walk up to their porch. I recommend the double Bo Burger with a hash brown on top. Even with all the fixins, it's easily cheaper and better-tasting than the corporate fast food joints! Fantastic fries here: Julio fries with sauce on the side. Large caramel and malt shake. All this food is easily under $20, and at generous portions. The fries are fresh and ambrosia of the gods!! Best of all? The customer service is always great and friendly. Highly recommend you eat here at least once if you're on campus, and it's super accessible by car/foot/bike. Yes, they take card-- just at a $5 minimum. I've had the cajun fries, pickle fries, salt & vinegar fries, and bbq fries. All are dry-seasoned, but I keep coming back to those Julio fries-- that sauce!

"Flavorful...and what a crust!"…read more We recently enjoyed the Arrabiata (bottom), Margherita (top L) and Fresca (top R). Each is a generous size for one. All were great in their own way. The Fresca was our favorite, with fresh pesto vibing great with the arugula. The Marg was sweeter and vibrant. The Arrab may not be to everyone's taste: it's spicy and bitter (Italian parsley and capers), but again, fresh ingredients make it delicious. Others have commented on the crust. This is a more Sicilian, focaccia-like crust than it is a NY crust, which would be flat and crispy. You can tell Adelina's really pays attention to this foundational element because 1) it's airy, crispy and soft, while maintaining a slightly chewy texture; and 2) they have a manifesto about it on the menu. We'd gladly jump into more Adelina's next time we're at the Argo!

I usually get the margherita with vegan cheese (NOT Daiya cheese, which is amazing) and it's flavorful and a great size! Arguably one of the best vegan pizzas in Ithaca. Being located right next to Bar Argo's allows you to get a drink too. Although it's been super hot in Ithaca, the outdoor seating is nice because it's semi-shaded and is open from later afternoon-evenings. There always seems to be plenty of tables available and it's just an overall pretty patio. The staff at Adelina's is super sweet and fast paced. It never takes super long for a pizza. Overall love this place and perfect for a summer evening!
