I work in the area and appreciate being able to go for a little walk and pick up something to eat on days when I am in the office. I passed Wings Over Boston several times on my way to more familiar fare till last summer I decided to venture in. I have since been back probably a 1/2 dozen times. The ambiance is simple and functional, as it seems more set up for takeout than eat-in. I have never had the wings (I see wings as more as an "eat at home" experience because I don't want to see the bones after I am done), but the fingers/tenders are very moist and always hot and fresh. The meat is dense so even if you have a big appetite, after two or three tenders,m and the fries, it is easy to get filled up. Six tenders is more suited for two. The crinkle-cut fries are some of the best I have had in the area. The cashier lady is a refreshing, familiar face who makes the experience pleasant. read more

It's tender, juicy and never dry. I ordered 6 tenders and waffle fries, which came with a drink. They let you choose the flavour of the chicken and I chose medium spice. I can see this being a lot better in person but I ordered this through Doordash which killed most of the crispiness of both the chicken and the waffle fries through precipitation . I have been the biggest fan of Wings Over for well over a decade. Back when they had names for their combos like Stratocruiser, and I would tell anyone who would listen how great they were. Huge pieces of the most tender boneless tenders slathered in delicious sauces, etc. But over the years that enthusiasm has been curbed quite a bit. Things change. That is normal and I believe they have new owners but the bottom line is this: The prices are higher and the portions are much, much smaller. My last 8 tender combo for two, left two of us hungry. Maybe it would have helped if they had included the two pieces of toasted bread that was supposed to come with the order. The days of getting an eye popping huge tender are over and now all pieces are the standard medium to small size you find everywhere else. The waffle fries are gone and now they just have crinkle cuts like everyone else. They supposedly give you toasted bread (ala Raising Canes) as mentioned, but I have never gotten this in my to-go orders so who knows. Speaking of Canes this is a good time to make that comparison. First off, wings over Boston has phantasmagoric advertising with their 12 dollar 4 wing bundle. Regardless, upon entry the immediate vibe was both positive and enticing. Wait staff was helpful and eager to assist while being an absolute leader choosing particular sauces. Not only that, but they bring your wonderfully packaged food TO THE TABLE. Yes, I said that right, table service... and with a smile!! Not to mention the aux was impeccable and only added a sense of mystery and excitement to each bite of perfectly buttered tenders. The take out wings come in a black plastic container **if you want crispy wings do not order, completely misleading from the menu** any place that seems to specialize in wing delivery would know that wings need to be placed in an open air bag or tinfoil container so that the steam can let out.
