Really fun place with a piano bar in the basement. Their drinks are inventive and come with cards with incantations to read along with them. The food was pretty and very tasty. After eating upstairs we went down for a final drink and to listen to the piano.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, since it bills itself as more of a bar than a restaurant. everything was amazing, with perfect seasoning and texture

Drink menu is very eclectic, the staff was great and menu is full of tasty bites! The bar area is amazing, cozy and perfect for a date night or a night out with girlfriends!

Frankly, I love this place. I visited twice, most recently for drinks. The downstairs bar area, where I sat, had a vocalist and a pianist, and the music provided pleasant background for the evening. The bartender was prompt and helpful, offering suggestions when we werent quite sure what to order. I ended up ordering a cocktail on the sour side of things, and I loved the tart flavor and balance with the liquor. Can't remember what I ordered, though! I'll be back!

This is now one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Boston! GREAT ambiance with a live piano performance on Friday nights. The food was delicious, absolutely no notes! I highly recommend ordering some of their many appetizers

Recently came here with a friend without a reservation around 6pm before catching a show downtown. We were immediately seated at a small table in the bar area which was a bit cramped and loud. We enjoyed the mango and cucumber salad which was light and refreshing. The branzino with ginger and scallion was nicely cooked but quite expensive given the fish was on the smaller side. They also have a lounge downstairs with live music on certain nights which has great ambiance. Overall, would come here more for the vibes than the actual food.

Great tapas and surprisingly filling! Came in on a Sunday around 5pm and there was no wait which was great. Ended up ordering the mango cucumber salad and salmon belly tapas. The mango salad was amazing, the seasoning was perfect and honestly this could definitely have been shared with 2 people. The salmon belly tapas were even better. So tender and just the right amount of savory. They also have a wide selection of beers, but I wasnt drinking this time, so I'll have to check it out next time! Service was also great and the decor was on point (came in a few weeks before Halloween!)

4 out of 5 stars. Hobgoblin has been on my list to try for a while and I was glad to go to Park Street to do so. The highlight of the restaurant was the decor/ambiance. They lean heavily into a magic/potions theme. The restaurant was decorated in a way that gave off an old-world Europe feel. It was especially refreshing with so many restaurants now built off the clean-minimalist aesthetic. The food and drinks for the most part were very good, especially the pad thai. The main reason this restaurant wasn't 5 stars imo was the price. The dishes were quite expensive and portions were not large. I feel like the driving factor for the price point is the downtown location (Park Street), and my preference is to pay for higher quality food rather than location. Still, overall a good experience and I would recommend checking it out

Omg! The restaurant is beautiful. But the most important thing is the food is unbelievable! The sauces and flavors are incredible. Dishes were creative. The service was so accommodating.

We had a reservation for the Piano lounge but had a rocky start as we were seated at the very back of the room in armchairs with a tiny low table in front of us. We made the reservation to eat dinner but this table was clearly going to be uncomfortable for any sort of meal, we'd have to hunch over to reach our plates. The rest of the piano lounge was normal style dinner tables and chairs, with the exception of our seats and another similarly short and small table with a set of 2ft ottoman stools around it. I mention this because if you were only coming for drinks or if this was offered a walk-in only option for those just wishing to lounge, this is a good add on! But this should not be the primary offering, coming with a reservation for dinner and being seated here with no warning is unacceptable. Luckily, we saw a regular table open up shortly after we sat down and asked if we could move and the server said yes! I really appreciated the flexibility and accommodation. Once at the table, our experience improved. We had two cocktails and ordered the Mongolian beef fettuccine and the chicken sandwich. Everything was good. However the pricing for the portions was a bit excessive.

The Hobgoblin Bar was such a cute little spot. We ordered several small plates and four was enough for three people. I don't have a high tolerance for spice, so a couple of the dishes were a bit spicy to me, but it was fine for everyone else. Their cocktails were pretty and delicious. I enjoyed the silk seduction. We didn't get a chance to stay for the piano bar, but I would definitely try and come back for that.

Awesome vibe. Loved the bar area and all the beer taps! Bartender was chill. Beers were affordable/reasonably priced.

We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

Both the drink and food menus have a staggering variety of items. Beautiful Space, Catastrophic Execution…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years. We visited Boqueria Boston on Father's Day and arrived to find the restaurant nearly empty. Despite that, the experience started poorly when the host refused to accommodate a simple request to sit near a TV so we could watch the FIFA match. After being seated, it took roughly 20 minutes just to be acknowledged. We ordered two bottled beers, a bottle of still water, and tap water. The tap water arrived within minutes, but the beers and bottled water took another 10+ minutes. The beers were served without glasses, and the bottled water was simply dropped on the table without being served. When ordering, we were informed that at least five menu items were unavailable, including the seafood paella we had specifically come to try. The explanation was that they were out of clams and mussels. After insisting they check with the kitchen, we were told they could prepare it without the clams, so we agreed. The pacing of the meal was baffling. Pimientos de Padrón arrived after about 15 minutes, but then another 20-25 minutes passed before the cheese board and salad appeared. The quality was disappointing throughout. The goat cheese tasted like a bulk food-service product, and the pan con tomate was overwhelmed by raw garlic. The gambas took roughly 45 minutes to arrive and came with only three tiny pieces of bread. We immediately ordered additional grilled bread and waited another 20 minutes for that. Throughout the meal, every inquiry about the delays was met with excuses, despite the restaurant being mostly empty and fully staffed. After waiting more than an hour for the paella, I finally requested the check. Miraculously, the paella appeared moments later. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait. It was bland, lacked any depth of flavor, and was among the most forgettable paellas I've ever had. To make matters worse, no fresh plates or utensils were provided for the main course. Service remained consistently poor. Water glasses were never refilled. Different servers randomly dropped off dishes, yet nobody seemed interested in clearing empty plates. We eventually started stacking dirty dishes on a neighboring table ourselves before someone finally removed them. Our primary server informed us she was going on break and essentially disappeared for the remainder of the meal, only reappearing when it was time to present the check. The only employee who showed any accountability was an older gentleman who eventually stepped in, acknowledged the problems, and provided a 50% discount after realizing part of our order had never been rung in. While appreciated, the gesture came far too late to salvage the experience. Beyond the service issues, the operational details were concerning. The open kitchen made it easy to observe staff working without hairnets or hats, and employees were constantly entering and exiting the same restrooms used by guests, often carrying backpacks and personal belongings through the dining room. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've had much better experiences at Boqueria locations in New York. However, this visit reinforced what feels like a steady decline in the brand. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The concept is strong. The location is excellent. Unfortunately, the management and training appear to be severely lacking. With so many outstanding dining options in Boston's Seaport, I cannot recommend this location. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Come Mother's Day and I am not a fan of going out on the actual day, but I did remember this place. We made a Saturday reservation, picked up my son from work, and headed over here. SO WORTH IT! I thought the spot was adorable and clearly well loved by locals and their own staff. You really get the feeling that all that work there really love the place. I like the menu items are not the "usual suspects" I see at most Tapas places, which are good but sometimes you want to shake things up. We got: Bolas de queso Patatas Aioli Croquetas De Jamon Croquetas De Verduras Solomillo De Ternera y Queso Cabrales Calamares Fritos Tabla de Quesos Pisto Manchego Albondigas De Cordero Iberico Peras Borrachas Torta De Chocolate All the menu items were flavorful and enjoyable. I think my favorite was the Croquetas De Jamon, if I had to choose just one item. We also decided to get two desserts - a pear dessert which seems to be their signature dish and the chocolate tort. While the pear was lovely, I was really in the mood for something chocolate so I enjoyed it more (but honestly cannot go wrong with either).

I enjoyed my staples for the night: Jamón Iberico, garlic Chicken; pollo al ajillo (a must), and a red sangria. The jamón is freshly cut to order with a nice drizzle of pure olive oil over top. The sangria is so refreshing with fresh fruit tasting like they just picked it themselves. The lovely bartender, Astrit, informed me the grapes are Grenache from Spain , which have a dryer, robust flavor compared to the sweeter red sangrias that make you regret your decisions the next morning and tastes better in my opinion. I'm usually more of a beer guy but this slaps! I've also had the white before and that also hits the Richter scale. Last but surely not least, the garlic chicken (pollo al Ajillo) is the best chicken I've ever had, hand to God. Spiced with everything nice and delicious oil and garlic that you deserve. Even on a first date, you'll be kissed after giving this to your significant other. This fine establishment is one of my favorites and I always am satisfied, leaving with a full belly. I hope the same for you!
