Got the 6 wing sampler with mild sauce. neither the wings nor the sauce had any flavor to speak of. it comes with a potato skin with neon orange cheese sauce. also got a small side of average freezer fries for about $4 and a fountain drink. total was about $20 for nothing to recommend. read more

The wings were bad, got 2 sauces and the one wasn't edible. Ordered mild and grande sauce unsure of which box was which but I wouldn't recommend either. The fries say home style or home recipe on the menu but they were generic freezer fries. The wings were dark in the center and overall unsatisfying. Somehow 24 wings were around $30 even though they were individually priced at $1.19 a piece. (1.19 x 24 =28.56) I'm not sure how that math works out, came with blue cheese and celery so I guess that priced is added on. The lady at the counter was nice though. The store feels run down and darkly lit. Overall, there are better wings in Morgantown. read more

First time in Morgantown and went to the WVU football game. Decided to stop here and get some food after the loss. Wings ole is comparable to the Big 12 in which both are mediocre and will never be in the SEC. It was always Georgia. go dawgs!!!! read more

Solid fast food option. The beef hombre and fries and blue are family favorites. The only other thing on the menu we have tried is the dos burrito, which was also good. This is far from fancy, but a step up from Taco Bell. read more

Former review: Just on dirt and dirty tables I have to give this former favorite hangout 2 stars. This place has really gone down hill. Update : Stopped at 11:30 for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Place is a little cleaner but fries are old and cold and the (medium?) Burrito was cold and flavorless. I suspect the beef was leftover from who knows when and not kept at proper serving temp. Had lunch here with my wife. Had the nachos and a steak burrito. Nachos were a small plate of tortilla chips with cheeze whiz on them. The burrito was filled mostly with lettuce and it came with terrible potato chips. I did not enjoy this crap and I won't eat here again. read more

I've lived in Morgantown for a few years now and locals always talk about this restaurant like it is the best restaurant in town, so I finally decided to try it. I have heard both "you don't go to Wings Ole for the wings, you go for the Mexican food" and "you don't go to Wings Ole for the Mexican food, you go for the wings" so I decided to try both and I honestly have to say the recommendation should be "you don't go to Wings Ole." Naturally, I had to try both the Mexican food and the wings, so I ordered 5 wings and their lunch special which was a beef burrito, fries, "bleu", and a drink for $13. The wings were overcooked and the sauce seemed like a mix of Franks, ketchup, and vinegar and was not good. The burrito seemed microwaved and had absolutely no flavor, it was actually impressive. The fries were not seasoned at all and were just frozen french fries. The "bleu" was supposed to be some sort of bleu cheese dip I'm guessing, but it was just watery ranch dressing with no bleu cheese flavor at all, but it was the only thing that made everything else palatable. I would not recommend this place to anybody and I do not want others from out of town to be confused. This is a townie place and the people of Morgantown like it, but do not go expecting good food. If you want wings, there are a lot better wings places in Morgantown, even in the same parking lot. If you want Mexican, there are authentic Mexican restaurants close by and I would even recommend Taco Bell over this. If you want to experience the restaurant that locals love and tries to be a wing place and a Mexican place, but fails at both of them, go to Wings Ole. It's hard for me to believe that my local friends have told me this is the best of the three locations and that they were actually jealous that I went. read more

The staff was absolutely the best & very friendly, 5 stars for them. The food was awful. I ordered wings & they were cooked well but the sauce that was Buffalo was tomato based!? I was very confused. It tasted like they added a bit of Frank's red hot to tomato purée... WEIRD. The white sauce was phenomenal & the celery sticks fresh. I ordered a beef taco too & it was awful. Had the Caliente wings. Reasonably hot, yet lacking flavor. The garlic flavor was there, but no habanero flavor whatsoever. 3 stars for being cooked well. Avoid Wings Ole in Suncrest! Employees not wearing masks. Cursing and arguing loudly behind the counter. No customer service and rude employees. My order was bagged and ready to go for thirty minutes but the employee would rather be on her phone than servicing customers. Only redeeming factor is their food is decent. Sad how your memories can fool you about a place you remember fondly with 25 cent wings and cold beer. Went with my son for lunch. Ordered a double, 24 wings with celery and blue, fries and a fountain soda. French fries passable, but wings were blah, sauce bland beyond belief, the blue cheese tasteless and my son even tossed away his soda because it didn't taste anything like Diet Pepsi. This was the first time my husband and I visit Wings Ole at the new location UniversityTown Center. We were so excited. Unfortunatelywe waited over 1/2 to get our order. The waitress kept coming back saying they were backed up. When our food came to our table the fries were lukewarm, the wings Iuke warm and barely any sauce on them. My husband's hamburger also was lukewarm. Everything seemed to have been left on the counter waiting for the waitress to get it to the customer. Either the waitress wasn't made aware or she neglected in serving the food immediately after it being prepared. What a shame. Serving food right after it's cooked is the right thing to do, not after it's been on the counter for over 5 min. This was at least 1/2 for the food to be lukewarm. Customer service to me is very important. Will not go again. read more

The place was clean. Parking is not abundant. Most of the customers I saw came to just pick up their order. They had a variety of selection but I wanted a variety of wing selection considering the name of the place. Unfortunately that they did not have. We ordered the six wing platter to go and when we got home which was less than five minutes away, the wings were cold and soggy and had to reheat them. I didn't even finish the rest and ended up throwing them away. Horrible wings. Used to be great place to go for for lunch. They are now ridiculously OVERPRICED. Maybe go once a year now. Their drink prices have gone up to around $2 and cups were downsized. The last time I stopped after working late, I ordered a bean supreme burrito, and an order of fries w/ bleu cheese and an extra tiny container of bleu cheese. Total came to $10!!!!! If a trashy BW3's and a failing knock off Qdoba had a baby, it would be this establishment. I came into town to watch an Athletic event from out of state at the WVU coliseum. Coming to this state was my first mistake, choosing to eat here was the second. They have a nice billboard in the parking lot, so I said, "let's try that local place. I like Wings!" Do not be fooled by the billboard, I am sure it has conned many a traveler. The cashier stared us down, and was ridiculously rude while we were looking at the menu. When inquiring about sauces and dip choices she pointed to the board and with a huff said "they are all up there". Might I add that wings Ole had a grand total of 4 wing flavors.... I proceeded to order the Saturday special, which was a burrito and fries with Wing sauce. Odd combo, but fuck it, "when in Rome". Not much of a special seeing as how it cost 8 bucks for a tiny amount of fries and a folded up taco passed off as a burrito. The other member of my party got wings (we hope), rice that was chunky as mashed potatoes, and a "salad" shredded lettuce for tacos onto a styrofoam plate and then covered with an entire bag of toxic cheese (who is deciding on these combo's?!). The stale chips and guac we ordered was just a green substance that was certainly not guacamole, but some alien substance mixed with glue passed off as guacamole. Did I mention the plastic silverware? Somehow this total ran to 23 bucks. I have no idea how this could be 23 bucks. Inflation has to be rampant in this area. All in all, a very bad experience, but they had a nice parking lot and I don't want to be a total dick, so 4 stars because Wings Ole was a good sport about it. Actually, No they weren't!!!! I have been going to Wings Ole' since I was a kid..about 30 years! I grew up in Morgantown, but live in SC now..I never go back to Morgantown without stopping by this place. The food is good to excellent, but it looks just like it did back in the early 80's..which is good, and very bad at the same time.
