House of Fries existed in my stomping grounds until a Yelp experience drew my attention to it. I had such a positive experience that I returned for more good eats! This eatery is a few doors down from Federick Restaurant, which offers Indian and Chinese cuisines. One of these days, I'll drop in. This eatery is on the southeast corner of Markham Road and Karachi Drive. Costco (Markham east, as this city has two) is a couple of blocks away. I had no problem locating this place during my first visit. There was lots of parking. I backed into one and headed inside. I've had no problems returning, either! I was the only customer in this eatery at around 6:15 pm. It was great being able to take a few pictures. Staff are extremely kind and helpful. A male staffee guided me through the ordering process. I was getting a pound of wings. He pulled out the menu and said that I could choose a flavour from the extensive list. I had already reviewed the list beforehand (I'm not kidding about loving wings) and went with honey dill. He was pleased that I knew what I wanted sauce-wise. The next step was selecting fries. I went with Mexican. I asked if I could get the sour cream omitted. He said yes. Yay! I ordered the same thing last week, but online through this eatery's site. It was simple. I paid online and drove over here to pick up my order. This place is on Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Skip the Dishes. I like the online site ordering better. The canned drinks are excellent. I love the Crush line. I've had the cream soda and grape so far. This place has exotic pop drinks, such as Fanta pineapple. I knew that I'd like it here! I've never dined here. If you order at the eatery, the wings-fries combo takes fifteen minutes to make. I was good. I took a seat at a table for two. I watched the pre-game show between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. The man let me know that my order was ready. It didn't feel like fifteen minutes had passed! I thanked him for his help and wished him a good evening. He wished me the same. I happily left with my dinner. For my online order, it was ready when I got to this eatery. I picked up my food, thanked the man, and left. I put my food in my insulated bag and drove home. I was looking forward to chowing down. The wings looked plump and thoroughly sauced. The honey dill sauce was whitish with lots of dill specks. It was almost as if raw honey was being used. It reminded me of the dill sauce that you get at St. Louis Bar & Grill, but I liked this one better. It was slightly sweet. I loved the dill. Each wing had the perfect amount of sauce without making it soggy. The wings were crispy and juicy. I got maybe more drums than flats. They were delicious. I want more. I thought that I wouldn't be able to finish the Mexican fries. Nope, I did. They were yummy. The fries had cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes, taco seasoning, ranch, and roasted garlic seasoning. The cheddar cheese was melted and crispy in spots. I loved getting a bite of everything with the best fries underneath. The fries were long and had the skin on, which I loved. I am normally not a fries person, likely because they aren't special as a side. However, if you load them up with delicious ingredients, I'll love them, which happened here. I was so stuffed after both meals. They were excellent. I am constantly dreaming about returning for more. I saw on the menu that this place has wraps. It will be tough for me to order one, because the wings and fries have my heart. It's nice that there's another solid wing place in Markham for me to frequent regularly. It's becoming my go-to wing place to get my fix. (220)

We got the 50pc combo and it was enough to share between 5 people with some leftover. The price was pretty standard for the combo but seems to be expensive otherwise. The flavours we tried from most liked to least in my opinion: Mango habanero (spicy), Korean bbq, Lemon pepper, Honey garlic. The cajun fries and corn were also pretty good. The ranch definitely elevated everything as well. The main issue I had was with the chicken; the pieces were small with some that were very small. Overall the sauces were good but in general I'd say it's a bit over hyped.

Upon entering, the mix of greens, woods, and spacious seating was very inviting. However, the service was just decent. Now, let's talk about the food. I was disappointed with the size of the chicken wings compared to other places I've been to. The fries were okay but lacked a punch in flavour. As for the wings, I tried the BBQ bases, KBBQ, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. Despite being advertised with a bit of 'heat,' I could hardly taste any. The dipping sauce was also quite runny compared to the thicker consistency I prefer. Overall, I was a bit let down after all the hype on social media. Many say the U.S. locations are better. It doesn't hurt to try, but there are other wing places that I'd prefer.

The jjamppong had plenty of mussels, and they tasted fresh, which really stood out. Portions were generous, and considering current inflation, the prices felt quite reasonable and affordable. The service was excellent -- servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to bring everything out. The only downside was the atmosphere. The music was a bit too loud, and the place was quite dark for my taste. Other than that, it was a great experience, especially for the food and value. I'd definitely come back.

Half half chicken: Got the soy garlic and cheese powder chicken boneless. The soy garlic was alright and the sauce didnt really cover up all the chicken. The cheese powder chicken was a much better option, the cheese powder was more consistently mixed in. I really liked that the boneless chicken were more bite size pieces so it made it easier to eat. Seafood pancake: Quite disappointing, it was just really soft and soggy and not the usual crispiness I expected. I wouldn't recommend getting this. The vibes was more chill and not loud compared to the other spots which was nice. However, I found the food to be mediocre it's unfortunate since I heard it used to be amazing! I wouldn't really go out of my way to visit here unless everywhere else is really busy or half off wings on Tuesdays.

Onto the wings now - ordered super hot as I like spicy food. These were actually hot and had my nose running by about the 3rd wing. Wings were not small, but not large either - it was good regular sized - got about 9 wings in the one pound order. It was drenched in sauce which I liked. The fries were nothing extraordinary - seemed like these were frozen fries (1 star off for that). Overall - I would go back.

The quality of their food has improved 1,000% since my first review and I must say, I am a little bit addicted to their wings. They have a great deal for 3 lbs of wings with a basket of fries and a garden salad for $39.95 and if you ask them to substitute onion rings for the garden salad, they are happy to oblige. I am certainly grateful to have these guys so close to home and their wings will be in our meal rotation for a long time to come.

They have a bunch of game day and weekday specials posted in restaurant. We ordered a Family Deal for 4 and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes which it was. The restaurant itself is not open for dining right now but the ambiance is really cool. It's decked out in Raps/Leafs/Jays stuff and there are cozy booth seats with TVs all around. The Family Deal was more than enough food and we had a lot of wing leftovers. The wings were large and really crispy even though they had been tossed in the sauce. I'd say that there were slightly more drumsticks than there were wings if that matters to you. The flavours we tried were the 40 Creek BBQ, Honey Mustard, and Raps on the Ranch. They were all good and I think they were especially good in combination since the Raps flavour was creamy, the honey mustard was tangy, and the BBQ was well, BBQ. The fries were very crispy (and salty although I don't mind) and very good with the gravy. I'm still trying to canvas the entire area for all the different wing offerings but you definitely can't go wrong with this place!

They were selling each pound of wings for $5 each (regular price $15/lb). IT WAS SOOOOOOO BUSY. The parking lot isn't big by any means and the line wrapped around the corner of the plaza! I got there around 11:20-ish (slightly after they opened) and the line already extended to Bueokae, two units down. I waited around 1.5 hrs approx to get my food (around 1 hr in line before being able to order and then another 30 min before my order was ready). Brandon, the gentleman manning the front of house looked like his soul left his body because there were so many ppl. But he was still serving customers with a smile. I saw my mans taking red bull out of the mini fridge behind him and chugging it LOL. I would say it was worth the wait for my food. There's no seating inside in the restaurant (purely a takeout joint) but when I opened my wings back home, my wings were still kinda crispy even under all the sauce (especially the honey garlic). Messy chicken: Would definitely order this again. It's their signature flavour. Reminded me of butter chicken with ranch and cheese on top. Sooo good. Chicken honey (honey garlic): These babies were still crispy when I lifted the lid! I was able to see chunks of garlic running throughout the sauce too which leads me to believe they make the sauce in-house instead of buying it. The Clucker: Ok so this was my least fave. The skin was kinda soggy on these and the ranch didn't really do much for me on these ones. It was also not as flavourful as the other two. Because it was customer appreciation day, each person was limited to 3lbs only. I kinda wish I went with mango habanero instead of the Clucker. The wings were quite big and plump. None of that puny wing bs. No cheating or cutting corners it seems like. The guy bringing orders out of the kitchen had a smile on his face the whole time and he gives you a lot of extra napkins which is great (as a finger food he understood the assignment lol). I will definitely be back in the future to try some of their other flavours since appreciation day restricted ppl to 5 flavours. Some of their flavours I've never seen at other wing spots. P.S. My brother tried to grab wings late at night a lil past 9pm with his fiancé but they already sold out of wings!
