I have been going here for sometime and the wings are usually pretty good but the customer service is nonexistent. They did not do my order correctly on multiple occasions and refuse to correct these issues. The management is very rude. Even the employees have advised me that it doesn't matter what you complain about, the management is not the type to care or resolve it. The bathrooms are very dirty and smell horrible. Best wings you will find in Mesa! The wings are always so fresh and so hot! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they need to work on their customer service. The girls who used to work the drivethru were rude at times, but this new girl they have is great, she remembers my order every time I pull up to the drive thru ha ha, goes to show how often I am there! Also, if you are short on time, I recommend that you call ahead. The drivethru process can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes, not good when you want something quick! Delicious wings (especially the honey hot). They serve them with carrots instead of celery which honestly I think is a better compliment. My go to place for take out wings. Nice size portion, reasonable prices and best of all they have breaded mushrooms! I like to toss them in the oven for about 15 minutes to get the optimum crispiness, but I do that with any ones wings. Just a personal preference. Never had a problem with screwed up orders or rude management, in fact I've never seen anyone there but the cook and the counter person. read more

Well, I love wings. I love wings that you can enjoy the flavor. I can eat hot, hot wings, but I also want to taste the sauce. This is why I love Wings Express in Mesa. I have only had the hot wings, not any other flavor. I have not tried any other food there so I can not speak of that. But the hot wings is a flavor I can really enjoy and the very nice saucey flavor. Concerning the location and the "ghetto" vibe. It is not the best of locations but it is no where near the worst of locations. In the 80's, I used to live down the street (even though Wings Express was not there at that time). Sure the neighborhood has gone down some, but to me, Wings Express is accessible, easy to get to and is a "go to place". Concerning the sauce, I do slop of the sauce with the carrot sticks or my fingers. Last time I went, I ordered 4 dozen. Boy that was a good day. How good are the wings, let me state that I got some of these wings and had a picnic with a pretty girl and asked her to marry me at that picnic. She said yes, it is that good. read more

I used the drive thru, I used my debit card and was told there was a .50 cent surcharge. I'm OK with the surcharge but then I was taxed on the surcharge. When I told the manager that that's not right he told me well you don't have to come here! Don't worry I won't eat some where where they rip you off, not to mention there is a hair in my food. GROSS! I would give no stars if I could! Customer service is terrible, especially the manager. I called to place a phone order, they told me to hold, so I did. I thought to myself, I will order while I head over there, since its a 20 min drive. Well 20 mins later, I was already in the drive through and still on hold. I pull up the window and ask to speak to the manager, to which some guy comes out. I explain to him I have been on hold for 20 mins and he proceeds to tell me they dont take phone orders! So why didnt anyone tell me this instead of putting me on hold? I politely suggested that next time his staff should tell customers they dont take phone orders if thats the reason why they are calling, instead of just placing them on hold. He rudely talked over me to cut me off to tell me he loses money too and thats its the first day of football? IDGAF what day it is, its called customer service, something this place does not have. First of all the grub (burgers, zucchini, fries, sandwiches) is very good...the wings are slightly small but delicious! It's one of the few places that have reasonably priced wings. The inside is always clean and like others have mentioned...wings bought in mass are at a killer price. The staff is friendly and as far as the clientele, harmless normal people...this coming from a Scottsdale native. THE downside...maybe it's me, but I expect 12 wings whenever I order a dozen...not 11 or 10. Yet, in the past year or so, that's what we continually receive via the drive-thru. :( read more

After reading several reviews and feedback from my husbands co-workers, I was eager to give this place a try. I am sad report this is without a doubt the most horrific wing joint I have frequented in some time. My entire family are avid wing eaters and to think we drove from Chandler to Mesa anticipating award winning wings it angers me!!!!! I have had better wings from the frozen food section at the local grocery store. If you are serious wing eaters, I suggest you stay clear of this place! The wings, burgers, and frozen battered mushrooms were all below average, I wouldn't feed them to my dogs!!!!! read more

Ok let me start off by saying that I love the wings here. When I get take out wings, this is the place I go. However, they appear to be a little mathematically challenged. The menu states 1 order of wings (about a pound) is $6.40. I weighed the 4 orders of wings I got tonight and each of the orders was 10 ounces plus or minus 1/2 ounce. A pound is 16 ounces. That is 37.5% less than advertised. That isn't in my opinion "about a pound". So in my order of 4 "orders of wings" I was 24 ounces (1.5 pounds) short of the "about" 64 ounces should have been in there. SO basically I paid for 4 orders and received 2.5 orders. Additionally if you order the 1 1/2 order (about 1 1/2 pounds) of wings they charge $10.00... uh, that is $6.67 a pound when if you buy the single order (about a pound), you only pay $6.40 a pound (see above)... Usually when you by more you pay less per pound, not more. So I just buy the single orders and don't pay the additional $.25 per pound. Eliminate this problem and just tell me how many wings I am getting for a set price like everywhere else does. Maybe when they say an order of wings is about a pound they mean the wings+the carrot sticks+the ranch dressing+ the container - which in my 4 orders did add up to almost exactly a pound each. They just need to be clearer in my opinion. Still great wings though!!!! read more

This place is a mesa classic. Great inexpensive wings, and the flavors are on point. These guys invented the original honey hot. I also have been able to eat throughout the years their fried mushrooms and zucchini, taste as if I made it at home, amazing!!! I just tried their bacon burger, which prompted me to write this, and let me say it was quite quite tasty. A great deal for only $3.50!!! read more

The wings here are really good. They price by the pound, not by the piece so the menu board says 10-12 pieces per order. I got the mild and the honey hot. Both were good but the honey hot is the way to go. The ranch is good too and it comes with carrot sticks. I also got the zucchini, decent but I have had way better; I won't order again. The drinks come in styro cups - that's a big plus for me. Also, they have a drive-thru window. I will be back! read more
