It's a sports bar so the atmosphere was very chill. They have touch tunes & there was a deck of Uno cards that kept us entertained while we waited for our food. We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla with fresh salsa and guacamole. Everything tasted like it was made that day. The quesadilla was crispy, well filled, and gone faster than I planned. The DT Old Fashioned was well built and needed no explanation. Both did their jobs. Gratuity was already added for the group, which is fair. The check split individually without drama. We asked 7-8 different staff members for help, and each time we were told they would "figure it out," but no one ever followed through. We eventually spoke with the manager, who was able to put the game on for us. However, after we had already spent over $100 on food and drinks and had been sitting at our table for a few hours, he switched the game to something else for another group who had not even purchased anything. When we asked him to switch it back, he refused. We tried to find the manager again after this interaction, but he continued sending other staff members to our table instead of speaking with us directly. Unfortunately, none of them were able to help. We waited approximately 30 minutes before someone finally came over and was able to get the game back on. What made this experience especially frustrating is that this is a sports bar with a large number of TVs, and we were simply asking to watch a game while actively spending money at the establishment. It was incredibly disappointing to feel ignored and unimportant after repeatedly asking for help. If you're not a Colts or Bears fan, I would absolutely not recommend this location for game day unless you're prepared to feel invisible and undervalued as a customer. Our server was wonderful, but the way the management and other staff handled this situation completely overshadowed the positive parts of our experience.
