Ended up getting to try out Wingfield during the 2019 Phoenix Fan Fusion event over Memorial Day Weekend. This was our first time trying them and both types of sandwiches we tried were amazing. We tried the traditional grilled cheese on sourdough bread with chips and house made ketchup (awesome mind you) and the Apple and cheese on sourdough grilled cheese. I am so sorry I cannot tell you what the actual names of the sandwiches were, but I believe they had fun Comic Con-type names. I think the traditional was called Frodo something, but don't quote me on it. Regardless the food was made to order and it was amazing. Now that I know it is actually a business in Camp Verde I will make sure to find them if we are in town to try more of their food. (Since it was a "pop-up" style grill I presume the menu was limited.) read more

We were staying in Camp Verde in our RV for a few days while visiting the Sedona area, and needed some bread. The reviews sounded amazing, so not only did we buy the specialty bread, we stopped in twice while in the area and bought other treats as well! The almond croissant was melt in your mouth delicious, as was the berry/chocolate croissant. Friendly and fast service, too! We highly recommend this family run bakery if you're in the area. read more

There's nothing better than having a freshly made sandwich on home baked bread. This place makes the best sourdough bread, hands-down! Try the ginger cookies if they have them available. They're awesome! My favorite sandwich is the Baked Chicken Mama - so yummy with their blueberry vinaigrette and ranch dressing. Haven't tried their breakfast selections yet. This place was AMAZING ! We stumbled upon it on our way to Fort Verde. We had picked up some balsamic vinegar and olive oil in Tombstone and we were looking for bread to eat with it. So we stopped in and were in awe of just the smell and the selection (without tasting) The baker (owner ?) was there and was so kind and helpful. We chose the garlic roasted sourdough. Which was delicious with are oil/vinegar . We couldn't pass up getting some extra treats. My husband chose the almond croissant. He said it was the BEST croissant he has ever tasted. This is his normal go to whenever we travel and find a bakery. I have to agree, I had a small bite and it practically melted in my mouth, so flaky and delicious. I could decide between the Apple Scott Muffin and the Apple Cardamon hand pie. I am going to say that muffin, is one of the best thing I have ever tasted. He said he uses butter instead of coconut oil, but whatever the secret is it is a must have. The hand pie was stuffed full of delicious apple, with a nice hint of the cardamon. I waited and heated that back up when I got to our RV. It was so good. This is definitely a hidden gem and I would highly suggest making the trip over if you are in the area. Also, they serve coffee and lunch, which we did not try, however the menu sounds equally yummy ! Before I forget the prices are fabulous, we got all four of those items for under $20. We love wingfield bread company! We visit almost every Saturday morning. Their pastries are so incredibly special! I have never loved fruit pastries so much in my life and of course the chocolate croissants and cinnamon rolls are amazing as well. Their Biscuits & Gravy is so spectacular and the best of any we've ever had. (& my husband is quite the connoisseur of biscuits and gravy!) The owners are very sweet and wholesome people who are deeply invested in the food they make. Great little place! They don't have any vegetarian options on the menu, but you can build your own sandwich so we did that. The roasted garlic sourdough is delicious! We only bought 2 sandwiches for my husband and I to share with our young kids as it's usually enough, but the sandwiches are a little small here. Only removed a star because the sandwiches are a bit expensive for what you get and they were out of many of the veggies so options were a bit limited. Would totally come back here though! read more

On our way to Sedona, we stopped here to grab some baked goods and pastries. Unfortunately, we arrived early afternoon on a Tuesday and they already were sold out of most items. We were able to snag a couple muffins that were huge and looked delicious. Unfortunately, they weren't quite as good as they looked. A bit dry and not very flavorful (apple peanut butter). The bakery had a hip, retro vibe and was very clean. I would probably give this place another chance even though I wasn't especially impressed with what we got. Perhaps if we had been able to choose from a larger selection. read more

I stop here almost every Saturday morning after the farmers market to pick up bread and maybe a breakfast treat. Never disappointed, unless I'm late and they have sold out. Their bread is excellent, I personally love the rosemary lemon oil bread, olive bread and the jalapeño cheese bread. The croissants are delectable, as are the scones and hand pies. These cookies, sandwhich, salad, and cinnamon roll have been living in my head rent free. After a days hike at Fossil Creek we all wanted some good local food. We stopped at this cute little bakery in Camp Verde and all of our wants were met! This is a family owned buisness and they were so nice and patient with our whole tribe. Their ginger bread cookies were so thick, chewy, and perfectly spiced with ginger and cloves and everything else. I had shared my Basil Chicken Focaccia sandwhich with my mum and it was finger lickin good! The bread is homemade with basil, you could really taste the bright and tarty artichokes that went perfectly well with the mozarella, roasted chicken and veggies. Also had an apple with blueberry vinegrette salad with a generous amount of candied pecans was a rave in my mouth! To top it all off we shared a HUGE and warm cinammon roll. I want to go back to restock on cookies, and buy a loaf of sandwhich bread since they have lots of homemade goods to try. read more

My wife found this place researching a lunch stop on our way to Sedona; this might be the destination next time! As you might have guessed, the bread is the feature attraction, just walking into the restaurant and smelling it is fantastic. I had the two pepper roast beef, and it is one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. My wife had the basil chicken in focaccia, which would easily feed two. Of like to say that I'm coming back for the small town Italian, but I don't know if I could pass up the two pepper roast beef, it is an incredible sandwich! Prices are extremely reasonable, we both ate for $20, and I went back to take some baked goods home. This is a winner. read more

It's a deli, not a restaurant. Saw the amazing reviews, so we had to try it. I gave them 5 stars for these three reasons: 1. The Sandwiches are really yummy. 2. I didn't want to ruin the perfect score. 3. I always support locally owned rather than corporate. That said, the Rosemary foccata bread is amazing. We went in, the two people working were a sad looking woman and a rough looking man. They went right to work and made some delightful sandwiches. No A/c, only about 4 or 5 tables. No wine no beer. Not quite five stars because they have a meager drink selection but their sandwiches and bread are awesome. We had the Chicken and pepperoni and the Rueben. It took a while to get our order but that was because one of the employees was out and the owner was serving everyone. The sandwiches were simply delicious and there was an interesting arrangement of meats--chicken and pepperoni, with cucumber, lettuce, tomato and a spread of some type--awesome. Amazing! We ended up purchasing items from here 3 times during our trip! The artisan breads were perfect with just the right balance of softness and bite. The donuts, which are available Fridays and Saturdays, reminded me of the donuts growing up as a kid, far superior to the mass-produced ones at the poplar chains today. Our favorite items were the homemade cookies! The cookies were made with whole-wheat flour and no artificial ingredients. I liked how coconut oil was used instead of butter in many of the products. The chocolate chip cookies were incredible and our favorite, until we tried their old fashion ginger cookies!! Oh My! These are hands down THE BEST ginger cookies I have every eaten!
