After having spent some time in Jerome, one of my closest friends who lives in the Cottonwood area suggested Pizzeria Bocce. When I looked at their menu and saw their high ratings, I decided that we should go there for lunch after we were done in Jerome. Before lunch, we walked around the area for a bit to enjoy the nice Cottonwood weather, then headed back as opening time approached. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and requested a table on the patio. They were more than happy to give us a seat on the patio with views of many cars passing by while we relaxed outside. Our server was very nice and helpful, and when I mentioned that I wanted to get the Cire's pizza, he said it was one of their best-selling pizzas. I could see exactly why it was one of their top pizzas. Everything tasted fresh, and I thought the crust had one of the best textures of any wood-fired pizza I have ever had. While I unfortunately was unable to finish it due to the huge breakfast from earlier in Jerome, the pizza was still delicious. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. If anyone is looking for a great pizza place in Cottonwood, I recommend Pizzeria Bocce. read more

Omg, amazing food!! My wife and I came up to Cottonwood for the 4th of July weekend to celebrate US' 250th birthday. ChatGPT actually recommended this place. So we're Luke, "what the hell, let's try it." We had the ceviche for an appetizer, split the beet and arugula salad and had the Americano pizza for our entree. The cerviche was different but good. The beet salad was really good. The Americano pizza was a thin crust, wood fired pizza. It was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place. We'll return here again. The salad was refreshing and wasn't overdone with salad dressing. I had the pomodoro pizza which wasn't too heavy on a hot summer afternoon. I left no crumbs. One of the best pizzas I've ever had!!!! We stayed a few nights in downtown cottonwood, so this was walkable. The vibe and set up is super cute. The heaters were on which really kept the area warm. We got a Americano pizza and Quattro pizza. The dough is amazing. The fresh basil gives it such a good taste- I wish there was more basil. It was amazing. We had drinks at the bar for dinner also( old fashioned wasn't as good- need the big cubes), berry mojito was very tasty. Would definetly go back to try more pizza and pasta. First time I stumbled upon this place three month ago and was surprised with a very decent italian food. We came again and were not disappointed. Pesto rigatoni with grilled chicken was a good choice. My son loved chicken alfredo, I was a bit surprised with deep fried chicken, but overall it tasted good. While the food here was good and has been in previous visits, our server was rude from the moment we sat down. We weren't ready and that was an agitation. He wouldn't even look at our table, was short with us even when we thanked him for everything he dropped off (plates, oils, food), when we needed boxes we tried explaining what we needed, but turned away so quickly we had to shout across the room to explain we needed not 1, but 2 small containers. We left a smaller tip than normal due to this behavior, where we typically over tip. We saw him reach the table and shake his head. If we had better service, there would have been more money for him; he may want to consider changing his attitude when dealing with the public or changing careers. Man was this place busy on a Wednesday night. After dining here I can see why. I will need another trip here to sample more. There were a couple of seats at the counter and that was perfect for us - dinner and a show! I had to try the pizza given it's a pizzeria. I had the Cire's which was a delicious combo. It was classic Neapolitan style with the wet middle. I wouldn't have minded a little char on the outer crust to really drive home the taste of Napoli. I know some people don't get this as part of the style or maybe it was just so busy then were turning them out of the wood fired oven quickly. And let me point out how hard and efficient the kitchen crew was working. My wife went with the roasted beet and arugula salad. It was a fabulous combination of flavors. She went with me saying she wasn't hungry and ended up eating most of this shareable salad. All the front of house were attentive and friendly. The manager was obvious on the floor and working alongside his crew. That speaks volumes! This is the kind of place that makes me sad that I don't live closer. read more

Another 5 star meal here. After we spent the day in Sedona we came here for an early dinner. The boys were wiped out from riding bikes all day so deviled eggs and pizza hit the spot. We were driving back from Sedona and wanted to stop at bocce for the pizza we heard was so fantastic. It was a hot day and we walked with our dog for a few blocks, so excited to see a nice outdoor area of tables and a couch, and then another outside area in the front with tables. We asked for a table and the guy at the desk rudely informed me "no Dogs " I mean, Cottonwood is a rural community and I was amazed since they had two nice outside areas. They wouldn't allow a well-behaved dog like we have who is extremely chill.!! And another guy stuck his head out the window where they had outside seating and he barked the same thing at me, no Dogs!
