Was not expecting such a beautiful place in a small town. Paul was an absolute wealth of knowledge and was very attentive. Seafood appetizer was excellent and our dinners were phenomenal! Will definitely be back anytime we're near Camp Verde!

Stopped in for early dinner on an overcast Sunday. First time visit. Surprised by the lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious food. The best Chicken Piccata I have ever had. My husband really enjoyed the braised pork shank and accompanying potatoes. Certainly a 5 star meal but the price was a bit surprising for Camp Verde as mentioned in a few reviews. It was filling up as we left so reservations would be beneficial.

Made reservations. Offered option to sit in or out. Should have chose out. Chairs inside were uncomfortable. Our waiter was great. Suggested the shrimp scampi and pork shank. The shrimp scampi was not good at all. Shrimp were way overcooked and like rubber. Pork shank was ok. Not very seasoned. Kind of like ok pork roast. The potatoes were good. Prices were way higher than on the website. Not worth it in my opinion. Won't be going back.

If there is one restaurant you must visit in Arizona this is it !!!!!! I cannot believe what a rare gem this place is . We started with the fried calamari and shrimp. This was the best I have ever had anywhere and I'm from New England. I had the seafood zuppa it was amazing . My brother had the rigatoni bolognese and my husband the salmon Alfredo. The homemade bread was amazing and so was the service . I would give this place 10 stars if I could .

Went on a Saturday right as they opened. Food was great. The bread was delicious. Definitely worth the stop on the way to Flagstaff from Phoenix

Fabulous late lunch/early dinner after hiking. We weren't really hungry so didn't order large meals but everything was delicious and service excellent. We thought we were a little under dressed when we walked in as the ambiance was so beautiful but I think a lot of people stop in after hiking Tonto natural bridge‼ We will be back next time we're in the area. Highly recommend

I imagine this feels a bit like crawling through the desert on your last few steps before dehydration only to stumble upon an oasis. Moscato was recommended to us by friends while we VRBO'ed in Cottonwood. I looked at the drive and my buddy said "just go". We did and all I can say is WOW. Many others have talked a lot about the food so I'll stop here but don't hesitate to try and get in this place. It is a such a pleasant surprise. If you're in a 30mile radius, do you self a favor and make you way over to check this place out. Enjoy!

This has got to be the classiest as well as all around best Italian Restaurant. The staff strives to pay attention to detail. The food is all homemade. The focaccia bread pairs well with the sauce's. I ordered Spaghetti with Marinara one night. A few days later I couldn't resist but to come again. This time I ordered Penne and Bolognese for lunch. Chef's kiss Fine dining in a town I would have never imagined. Camp Verde a relatively small farm town with a laid back demonor.

Great food, vino and ambience !

Service was excellent, food was delicious! The Italian wine was absolutely magnificent ! If you got a special occasion or a family dinner and you're cruising thru Camp Verde, this would be the place!

This was such an amazing restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious we sat outside on the patio and it was just beautiful out the lights were wonderful and the heaters worked well. We loved the fountain with the fire ring super cool. Our waitress was very attentive and super sweet.

As A Verde Valley Local, I Was Really Looking Forward To Going Back To This Italian Restaurant After Hearing It Recently Relocated To A Different Space. It's Always Exciting To See Improvements To Local Spots, And I Was Expecting To Have Good Things To Say Based On My Experience With The Previous Location. The Ambiance Was Absolutely Beautiful. The New Decor And Atmosphere Were Really Charming And Well Done. Unfortunately, That's Where The Positives Ended. We Had A Reservation At 6:00 PM And Arrived A Little Early, Around 5:45. No One Greeted Us At The Door; We Were Just Given A Puzzled Look As If We Didn't Belong There. I Let Them Know We Had A Reservation, But The Host Told Us Our Table Wasn't Ready Yet And We Could Wait Outside On The Patio. That Was Fine, But When We Asked If We Could Grab Drinks From The Bar To Take Outside, We Were Told The Bar Was "Reserved" Even Though No One Was Sitting There And That A Server Would Come Out To Take Our Drink Order. No One Ever Came. We Didn't Get Seated Until Sometime After 6:30, And Even Then, It Took Another 10-15 Minutes Before Anyone Came By To Even Take Our Drink Orders. One Of The Drinks We Ordered Was A Tito's And Tonic. It Was Made Incorrectly (It Was Just Vodka, No Tonic) And Took So Long To Arrive That It Hardly Seemed Worth It To Say Anything. When Our Food Finally Arrived, We Were Hopeful Because The Menu Sounded So Good. Unfortunately, The Zuppa Di Mare Was Disappointing. The Seafood Tasted Overcooked And Fishy. It's Really Sad To See This Place Decline, Because It Didn't Used To Be Like This. There's Definitely A Lot They Need To Improve, Both In Service And In The Kitchen.

The flavor balance was spot on, and the and the sourdough was a total game-changer. Total happy accident finding this place! After missing the breakfast cutoff at Udderly across the street, we gave this spot a try shortly before they closed. We also ordered the cinnamon roll with browned butter icing, which was a total standout. It was huge and so good that we'd polished it off before our sandwiches even hit the table. It's a miracle we didn't order a second one! Even though they were out of a few items since it was late in the day, it didn't matter. This is officially a must-visit whenever I'm back in the area!

The sourdough bread is enough to come in for...and then there are the sandwiches and salads and sweets. There are many varieties of bread, I personally opt for the Artisan. It's sliced which I love, and even homemade it has strong shelf life! The only sandwich I get when I come here is the Chicken Basil Focaccia. It's two meals for me as it is massive. Lots of sliced chicken, lovely fresh basil and an amazing aeoli. Served with either chips or a side salad. The focaccia is out of the world...light and airy and full of flavor! To be honest I've never ordered the pastries or cinnamon rolls but they look absolutely amazing and people rave about them! Hours are funky so check before coming out...I've been disappointed before, lol. Interior seating available and to-go options offered as well. I'm a proponent of supporting small business and this is a great one.

Once we arrived it was such an awesome experience. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. I liked that they offered is to chose where we wanted to be seated. The owners, Suzanne & Randy, have created a special dining experience in the heart of Verde Valley Wine Country. This hidden gem offers an eclectic menu that truly sets it apart from anything else in the area. To steal my wife's description, "Manzanita Restaurant is a culinary oasis in the middle of nowhere, where flavors collide, and memories are made." SERVICE: The staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's obvious that they take pride in ensuring a memorable dining experience. We couldn't have felt more welcome or had better dining experiences on both visits. WINE: Manzanita has a decent selection of wines by the glass and bottle. It's not the largest, but there's something to pair with all dishes. Both times we had a fantastic bottle of Zinfandel from Geyserville, CA, which paired great with our meat entrées. The bottle price is very reasonable, as we used to be members of that winery and know what they charge. FOOD: Outstanding gourmet game specialties and German delights. We've tried several soups, sides, and main dishes and have enjoyed them all. Soups of the Day have ranged from Pumpkin Purée, Ostrich, to Manhattan Clam Chowder. Salads can be added as a side or as an entrée, including adding Chicken Breast or Grilled Salmon. We've also tried a couple appetizers like the Edamame & Roasted Brussel Sprouts In a ginger soy glaze with sesame seeds, and the French Escargot served in mushroom caps with garlic herb sauce. Main entrées we've tried include an Orange Roughy Special with red cabbage, a Manzanita Salad with Chicken Breast, Fried Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Bison Tenderloin with vegetable medley, Venison Medallions Special with a creamy mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, Antelope Steak Special, and a Prime Rib Special. There's nothing I wouldn't hesitate to order again. I'm half German and love German cuisine, but amazingly I've yet to try anything from that part of the menu. They have a couple pasta dishes as well. The restaurant is not overly fancy or extremely modern, but it's slightly upscale, comfortable, and the food and service are both stellar. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a unique dining experience, this family restaurant won't disappoint. We can't wait for our next visit!
