The fresh baked bread was key- perfectly toasted, fresh avocado and olive oil with chili flakes. Oatmilk latte was creamy and delicious. And the vibe is open air, bright and airy. Husband's review: Didn't care much for spending 30+ minutes in line, then another 10 for an egg sandwich, but I understand it comes with the territory of staffing limits and shop popularity. In any case, I ended up getting the aforementioned egg sandwich and a cheesy+everything bagel. For $12, I would have liked the sandwich to be bigger (for less than half the price, I can get a significantly bigger croissant breakfast sandwich at my local donut shop); that being said, it was quite delicious, as was the bagel! I especially enjoyed the cheesy side of the bagel, and generally it's hard to go wrong with an everything bagel. It's kind of a bummer they don't make an egg sandwich with a bagel serving as the buns - I imagine it would be excellent and certainly worth the money in size and quality. I think next time I'll get a cheesy-only bagel and try out some other items while passing on the egg sandwich. I'm sure there's a reason why I consistently saw people walk out with $40-50 worth of baked goods - aside from inflation these days. Wingen bakery just became my bae-goal. Recently, I was hiking around Livermore and had a hankering for bagels and cream cheese. Thanks to the yelpy-algorithm, I was lucky to find Wingen bakery. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a sourdough take on the classic bagel so I trucked on over during a busy Sunday morning. Arriving early, I immediately noticed the line and a lot of sold-out spaces--this was a great sign. I noticed people eating outside and also a nice space inside as well. I grabbed some bagels to go; these were sea salt, poppy, and everything (3$ each). The addition of sourdough in a bagel means that the bagel experience is chewier and firmer; compared to regular bagels these were denser, less airy, smaller, and took more effort to eat. However, the taste and crunchiness was pretty awesome even in the absence of yeast. Came here before a long day of wine tasting and drinking! So glad we stumbled upon this pace because their food is amazing! We ordered the crustless quiche: it had juicy tomatoes, Asiago cheese and perfectly fluffy eggs. Prices were reasonable for $9 a plate with a tiny side salad. Egg sandwich and avocado toast was so delicious! This is authentic American cuisine performed on the very high level. This is something special which we have not ever tried before. We really enjoyed our meal. Every bite was like "Ohh my god, this is incredible". It looks like nothing special just sandwich and toast, but it's really special! And made like a masterpiece to perfection. We were feeling like we were a special guests in the Wingen family. If I would be a restaurant critic I would give a Michlen star for this place. Not sure where to begin. When you walk in you're always greeted with kindness from their staff, and you immediately feel welcomed in the relaxed atmosphere and clean environment that surrounds you. You can't go wrong with anything you order from this bakery. The pastry's are to die for, especially the chocolate chip cookies, chocolate croissant, and cinnamon rolls! The lox & smear are one of my favorite items, along with the artichoke sandwich if I'm looking for something savory. Quiche is always a tasty item too. We dropped in at Wingen Bakery for an early lunch/late breakfast recently. The food, ambiance and service were all very good. There were five in our group - three adults, and two children. Service was good. The staff were younger and were cheerful and helpful even though they were fairly busy. You order at the counter, find a table and someone brings you your food. They have some outdoor seating and a lot of tables inside so we didn't have to wait to be seated. I had the hot pastrami sandwich which was excellent. Others in our group had avocado toast, the chicken salad sandwich, a croissant, and a pastry which I could not identify. Everyone was happy with their selection. We also bought a loaf of olive bread to go. This is excellent with olive oil. Wingen Bakery is a bit pricey as our meal for five was about $ 100 but service and food were very good. read more

Wingen Bakery is a Livermore jewel. The hype is real, and it's the type of place that is constantly getting cooler and more delicious. Wingen Bakery has a very special and touching back story, and it is reflected in the space when you visit. I love that this is an inclusive business that actively gives back to and supports the community. The staff is friendly and attentive, and and the food is delicious. I love that there are some staples on the menu, while there are also seasonal (and even weekly/daily) items that come and go. You never know what special treasures might pop up in the bakery on a given day, which is so fun. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, and it's good to go earlier because items (especially the special items) do sell out. Thus far, I argue that the Turkey Sandwich and Egg Sandwiches are the best in the East Bay. At least they're the best I've ever had and I think many others would agree. The Veggie Bagel Sandwich is also really good. Don't pass up on the chocolate chip cookies or the cinnamon rolls. There's also a great coffee and drink selection. read more

I tried Wingen Bakery's bagels for the first time when they were at the farmers market and they were delicious! So, I was excited to stop in their brick and mortar space. Such a great spot! I would never thought to try the Veggie Bagel on the menu until my wife picked it up for me. I don't believe in wasting food so I gave it a try and I was honestly shocked how delicious it was. I usually like it with the microgreens but sometimes they would substitute it with arugula. This last time I decided to try it with their Bliss Bagel and again pleasantly surprised. I had my sister try it too and she has been asking about it. I usually have my meals to go so service at the counter is good. The staff are kind and always helpful when you have a question about the food. The space is well lit and wall decor is eye catching. They have an assortment of different seating arrangements. I've waited for the lines to calm down before coming in. I stopped by after running errands today, I got the $14 smoked salmon open faced bagel sandwich. I wanted to order an iced americano but they don't have decaf coffee. That was a bummer. I want to love this place it reminds me of cute bakeries in Providence. Their bagel was chewy and I could barely bite through it, it was also pretty thin considering the price. As I ate the last bit of my bagel I noticed a hair hanging off the baked cheese on the bottom of my bagel. Pretty disappointed since I got the food to go and didn't want to walk back down there. As a new bakery in town, my husband and I had to give Wingen Bakery a try. I got an everything bagel with herb cream cheese and he got an egg breakfast sandwich, in addition to a cinnamon roll and some chocolate chip cookies! Everything Bagel with Herb Cream Cheese- AUHHMAZING! The cream cheese tasted so fresh. Egg breakfast sandwich- Again, so fresh and not processed! An absolute win and a mouth watering choice! Cinnamon Roll- It has a hint of citrus which was a pleasant surprise! The only thing that would have put it over the edge for me would have been to have it warmed. Aside from that it was delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies- MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, absolutely delicious! We will absolutely be back! I love the breads here! The semolina loaf is so good, holy cow. We toast it and add some butter and it's literal heaven. The bliss bagel we had was slightly salty (the seasoning on top) but would definitely love to try the everything bagel & plain bagel instead next time. Coffee cake was good. This is the second week this location is open so we decided to try it out this Saturday. We got there at 1 and got the last ham baguette sandwich, woot woot. The ham was good and cheese light. Our favorite was the egg sandwich with a side of hot sauce. It was warm, cheesy, buttery and the bread on that sandwich was so good. Thin and buttery. The owner was so kind and stopped by to check on us. He also said the bread sells out quick so recommends you stop by before 9:30. We love this place- everything we have tried we love. However, today my experience was not like the experience we've had in the past. I ordered from the express side, a quiche as usual and I was told they could not warm it up. I was confused because in the past, they always warmed it up and it is one of my favorite items. I asked the cashier why and they said because it is the grab and go section and she was told they could not be warmed up. Then why would I buy quiche to grab and go if I cannot eat it. I didn't like that I had to be a difficult customer and try to seek to understand but it didn't make any sense. I decided to purchase it. When I saw the manager I expressed my concern and gave him feedback. He is very nice, always remembers us and acknowledges us. I appreciated that he took it back to be warmed up as I drove 30 minutes specifically to enjoy my quiche, warmed up! Everything is so good and everyone is helpful and friendly. I always have a great experience here, and have seen the owner and staff go above and beyond to accommodate customers on several occasions. Love the lattes and the breakfast sandwich, so good and fresh and they bring it to your table. The employees are very kind and professional.

Is it a bit overpriced? Yes. Am I still going to go back? Of course. It's the closest thing to a good bakery that we have in Livermore. It is no Acme Bakery in Berkeley or Rotha's Patisserie in Albany, but good if you want a fresh loaf of bread on occasion. The tomato open face sandwich is delish and the lox one is pretty good. While their bakery may look small from the outside, it's got plenty of seating inside, a small patio outside with additional seatings along the outside windows. They've got a small but incredible variety of foods to choose from for both breakfast & lunch. To top it off, in a world we're so much food is crap, theirs is FRESH!! Freshly baked, in house, and incredibly DELICIOUS!! I cannot rave enough about their open faced Smoke Salmon bagel; it's amazing!! Last but not least, their team of employees are so incredibly sweet and the owner is consistently walking around chatting with people, cleaning up and genuinely engaged with his customers!! You cannot beat that customer service. If you've got kiddos, they also have an adorable kitchen and books readily available while you dine in.
