On 17 September 2025, my wife, purchased watch inventory# C52383 (a Breitling watch) from sales rep: LG (Invoice #117483 attachment #1). Assuming the watch was fully operational, my wife kept the watch safely in the box until it was presented to me as a wedding gift on the afternoon of 10 October 2025 - the night before we were married. On the evening of 10 October - approximately 2 hours after I first put the watch on, the black bezel ring fell off. To prevent creating stress for my wife during our wedding the following day, I used a small piece of two sided tape to stick the bezel ring back on. I also went to multiple watchmakers to find a better fix, but none were available. Following our wedding, on Monday 13 October 2025, I went into Wingate's Quality Watches store (12900 Preston Road, #1010, Dallas, TX 75230), and I explained the situation to the woman at the window - who took the watch and confirmed that the bezel ring was, in fact, broken. I initially requested a full refund, and according to the woman - after consulting with the back area - Wingate's would not provide a refund: "local in-store sales are final and not eligible for return." I let her know that we would be considering litigation based upon frustration of being sold a broken watch - particularly as a wedding gift. Once we departed your store, I immediately took the watch to the nearest Breitling Dealer, and they conducted a full analysis of the watch conditions - and they produced the attached diagnostic and quote for "necessary operations that must be carried out to ensure that your watch operates correctly" (attachment #2). This owner, Robert Wingate had the opportunity to make this right, we were not asking for a refund, but to simply reimburse for what was broken. Mr. Wingate refused to acknowledge the broken watch, and simply said we will "glue" it back together. Additionally, the box and paper work did not match the watch- as stated by Breitling company. After multiple opportunities and persistent emails, this review and other reviews to other sites will be published to the public. We are writing this in efforts for other consumers to not be taken advance of as my wife has been. Paperwork from Breitling has been attached for other consumer to be aware of the poor condition of the watch, the poor leadership of this company and its owner. As stated by Breitling, the watch was in poor condition, not only the bezel was broken This company is NOT an authorized dealer for any high end watch. Buyer beware!! Wow! How you handle mistakes says a lot about a business. I can not recommend doing business with Wingates. I am having an awful experience with Wingates regarding warranty on a bad Rolex Explorer they sold me. Specifically the service from Amanda has been terrible. I've been accused of being dishonest, alleged the watch in photos isn't the watch they sold me, had them Go back and forth on paying for watch shipping back and reverse, refusing to share original listing advertisement and photos, no communication or reply's to emails, excuses after excuses - First no accountability - now finally changing story the watch was "jostled" in shipping and caused scratch. Hard to believe but I don't care just want watch in condition as advertised. I'm patient and ultimately know I'll be just fine. As an active watch collector I can not recommend doing business with Wingates at this time and recommend doing research and saving Every photo and piece of communication and document everything. Terrible experience with this seller! Purchased a Rolex watch that runs 10 seconds fast a day and they have offered no help at all. I sent to an independent watch repair shop that is fixing it along with replacing the non-oem bezel that they used as a replacement. My advise to any potential shopper with this business is get it in writing that they use oem parts as replacements and if you choose to do business with them make sure your watch is running in spec. Sadly I wanted to have a good relationship with this seller as I buy 1 to 2 watches per year but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for a reputable company to spend my money with. I was in the market to buy a Rolex "Deep Sea-Dweller Deep Blue" 44mm and I called all Rolex dealers in Las Vegas and none of them had the watch so I started searching for it out of the state. Wingate's is the Zeno USA dealer. I bought a Zeno 12 months ago and it broke. This is the response I got from Zeno USA, "Your best option to have your watch repaired is to find a watchmaker close to you who is qualified in Swiss watches. You can also send your watch to the Zeno watchmakers in Switzerland, but that is much more complicated." They are wortthless. My second and third request were ignored. The watch was bought at Wingate's Quality watches in Dallas, which is the USA dealer. They sell thousands of used watches. I am sure they repair watches all the time.
