Assuming the watch was fully operational, my wife kept the watch safely in the box until it was presented to me as a wedding gift on the afternoon of 10 October 2025 - the night before we were married. On the evening of 10 October - approximately 2 hours after I first put the watch on, the black bezel ring fell off. To prevent creating stress for my wife during our wedding the following day, I used a small piece of two sided tape to stick the bezel ring back on. I also went to multiple watchmakers to find a better fix, but none were available. Following our wedding, on Monday 13 October 2025, I went into Wingate's Quality Watches store (12900 Preston Road, #1010, Dallas, TX 75230), and I explained the situation to the woman at the window - who took the watch and confirmed that the bezel ring was, in fact, broken. I initially requested a full refund, and according to the woman - after consulting with the back area - Wingate's would not provide a refund: "local in-store sales are final and not eligible for return." I let her know that we would be considering litigation based upon frustration of being sold a broken watch - particularly as a wedding gift. Once we departed your store, I immediately took the watch to the nearest Breitling Dealer, and they conducted a full analysis of the watch conditions - and they produced the attached diagnostic and quote for "necessary operations that must be carried out to ensure that your watch operates correctly" (attachment #2). This owner, Robert Wingate had the opportunity to make this right, we were not asking for a refund, but to simply reimburse for what was broken. Mr. Wingate refused to acknowledge the broken watch, and simply said we will "glue" it back together. Additionally, the box and paper work did not match the watch- as stated by Breitling company. After multiple opportunities and persistent emails, this review and other reviews to other sites will be published to the public. We are writing this in efforts for other consumers to not be taken advance of as my wife has been. Paperwork from Breitling has been attached for other consumer to be aware of the poor condition of the watch, the poor leadership of this company and its owner. As stated by Breitling, the watch was in poor condition, not only the bezel was broken This company is NOT an authorized dealer for any high end watch. Buyer beware!! Regardless of how this company responds- we have all email communication for anyone who is hesitant in working with this company.

He laughed when I told him I knew it wasn't Ron He then offered for me to pick up the watch for "free" as it was Christmas ,,and told me it was repaired and running but he couldn't offer a warranty on it .I had a feeling that this manager was quite insane and definitely didn't want me to tell the real owner what I experienced so again I agreed to go pick it up. I sent my spouse in to retrieve it and he was given the watch. Its not running and this is the same day ! I believe the manager broke the watch deliberately and is definitely doing something to Watch Docs loyal customers. Beware of this place A complete waste of time . No pun intended.! THEN I found Gillespie Fine Jewelers and I knew this is where everyone I love needs to come. I met the owner Kim, and his calm familiar demeanor immediately set me at ease. He was honest and fair in quoting me for my set. He actually agreed with the diagnosis from the first store which made me feel he knew his stuff. He didn't tack on extra unnecessary prong repairs just to bump up the price. From our conversation, he told me he has been a bench jeweler since he was 25. Since he does his own work, he doesn't have to charge us extra to pay for the jeweler doing the work. He's not just an owner that doesn't touch the pieces, he does everything and is extremely skilled at his craft. His quotes are transparent and he explains why the cost is what he is charging. This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a jewelry store. I walked away finding a gentleman and a businessman I knew I TRUSTED. He then told me to put it in a pot on the stove and heat it for a couple of hours. Realizing he did not know what he was doing, I took the watch to an authorized Rolex dealer. Not only had the bezel been cemented, the balance stop spring and bridle were both missing. This watch had only been serviced by Rolex in the 40 years I have owned it. You draw your own conclusions.
