Wing Lord - Vegan is the 100% plant-based sis of Wing Lord LA. Haven't heard of Wing Lord Vegan until I decided to pass through my old Sunday Funday fav the LA Vegan Exchange in North Hollywood - where they were one of the vendors/trucks doing their wing thing! Really impressed by their friendliness and service above all as well as their prompt orders. The flavors aren't bad at all but it can get a little greasy with your fingers but their do provide a fork. It's healthier deep fried cauliflower floret style wings and good dipping sauce options. I wasn't sure what to try but was good with the lemon pepper and barque for a first try. The prices are a bit high combos for what you get, but I do appreciate what they do and how they do it. Fresh Cut shoestring fries are enjoyable for sure and I do hope to try a bit more in the future. Holy Side Order of Extra Ranch, Batman, my faith in delectable chicken wings in Los Angeles has been restored! (See previous review of another "wing" purveyor for comparison.) It was a dark and stormy night...okay, it was dark, but not stormy, this is L.A. after all- I was tired and hungry after having had to spend a work day in OC. As I finally reached home after a grueling crawl up the 5 from OC, I spied the newest Wednesday food truck to grace our block- Wing Lords. Still licking my wounds from my other "wings" experience just days prior, I was gunshy at first, but hunger won out. "Best wings in Los Angeles, huh?" I asked the vendor skeptically. The young woman smiled down from the truck, "I guarantee you won't be disappointed!" Mmm'kay. We'll see about that. I ordered 6 lemon pepper, 6 buffalo, ranch and blue cheese sides...and trudged on upstairs, half-prepared to be underwhelmed, but grasping to the edge of hope. Took a bite of a lemon pepper wing. Took a bite of a buffalo wing. Oh. My. Insert Deity of Choice. While not the biggest wings, they were ginormously packed with flavor, and sooooo juicy inside. Without hesitation, I raced downstairs (well, raced down the hall anyway to the elevator, which I swear provided THE slowest descent in the history of elevators, or so it seemed) convinced all of my neighbors were going to beat me to the truck and buy every last wing before I could reach it. Blessedly, that didn't happen, and I ordered another dozen wings, 6 more buffalo and this time 6 Nashville, proclaiming to the young woman, "you did NOT disappoint, and whoever's back there KNOWS HOW TO FRY!" I also decided to try their "Little Leo's lemonade" and it is some of the most spectacular lemonade I have ever had, even had lemon pulp in it. ABSOLUTELY. Yes Yes Yes. I had seen this food truck at the Vegan Exchange Market a few times and added them to my list to try out. The wings looked so crunchy, so I gave them a try. They have vegan & non-vegan options. I tried the vegan buffalo & vegan lemon pepper with the spicy vegan ranch and WOW! It was sooo good! I like how crunchy the lemon pepper was and the flavor was phenomenal and juicy! There was even some sauce at the bottom of the plate, so aI sopped that up too. I got 6 wings. 3 buffalo, 3 lemon pepper. I would definitely go back and prob get more next time! The best part of it all was the customer service. Sometimes, food trucks/vendors are not the most positive and can be rude unexpectedly & unprovoked. This food truck serves wings with a variety of flavors. I ordered the 6 piece combo, comes with fries and soda. Wings (2.5/5) -- Wings are decent. I wish they were crunchier. I asked for them to have it well done but they said they already fry it that way, but I definitely like mine extra well done. Got the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan. Lemon pepper was good, the garlic parmesan is a wet wing that's coated with the garlic sauce that was ok. Fries (3.5/5) -- French fries are like mcdonald's fries. They were good; nothing above average. I do appreciate the amount of fries they gave for the meal, good amount! It was well fried, and not soggy. Coated with a good amount of salt. Sauces (1/5) -- Got the ranch and buffalo sauce on the side. I thought at least a ranch would come with the meal but it doesn't. The ranch was a little too thick for me. I like my ranch creamier and smoother. They were nice, quick and the wings are decent. read more

Wing Lord - VEGAN is really good. The use of cauliflower is definitely unique as many of the other vegan chicken alternatives all use similar ingredients ie: soy, wheat, etc.. The wings are large, crispy and satisfying. I especially liked the lemon pepper flavor. The owner is super friendly. Definitely worth checking out at vegan exchange. read more

I'm picky about vegan wings but I drove 30 min just to eat these again, my favorite are their buffalo cauliflower I like that they're not that crunchy but filled with Buffalo sauce. The vegan exchange had never let me down... until this truck. I've never been more disappointed to bite in to something. Don't be fooled by the name it's not vegan chicken wings it's literally just fried cauliflower and it isn't even good. The lemon pepper cauliflower was crispy but the buffalo ones were soggy. The ranch was great but that doesn't do much when the main part of the dish is disgusting. They need to do better at making it known that they don't serve "wings" they just serve fried cauliflower. Saw wing lord was gonna be in Santa Clarita so you know I had to show up! They were so busy understandable considering it was a big event. Got a 12 piece this time and tried the Hawaiian and stinging honey garlic.. absolutely delicious!! Had to come back and drop another review. I don't know what people are saying they are rude or complaining about the size of the wings. I find them to be super nice and full of great energy. And the wings are a perfect size. Wing lords were the worst wings I ever had in my life, hands down. I ordered the 12 piece lemon pepper and mango habernero. The wings were raw inside, they also did not have any flavor. They did not season the chicken and the sauces were very bland. I took them back, and the lady took the wings with a nasty attitude and refried the same wings and gave them back with the same French fries. How tacky and unsanitary. They also have the nerve to charge $1.59 for dipping sauce. If you want good wings, I will advise not to go there. The only reason why I gave them 1 star is because I had to in order to write this reveiw, other than that I would not have given them any stars. read more
