Absolutely disgusting little den of inequity here, located off of Palm Ave. We thought we'd give this rebranded wing and rib stop a try again, after several questionable experiences. Wow - Simply the worst dining experience I've had in 10 years. Yep - That bad. I don't even know where to start. The quality of the food here is quite poor; when you add on ridiculously poor service, it's just shameful. Arideal K's FIVE stars? "Why they be hatin' on Legends, yo?" They be hating because this is one of the worst fast food establishments on the face of the freaking planet. Five stars for fast food, Arideal? Nice. I'd hate to see what you'd do after you were served actual food. We did the GrubHub thing, and had the food delivered fairly quickly. Polite driver, 5 minutes from pickup to delivery. We were initially missing a set of wings, and called the restaurant. First employee? "Uhhhhh... Like, I don't know, man"... "hold on". Second employee "Hey, sir, it looks like your whole order went out". As I explained how the polite GrubHub driver emptied his bag and checked for us, there was a pause... And... And... "Oh, dang, it looks like your wings are sitting here or something". Oh, great. And then... Wait for it... "You're going to need to come get these, or, like, call GrubHub". Deciding to forego said wings, we dug into our pork ribs and fries. Ahhhh, nothing like the sheen of pink and juicy undercooked pork! Triginosis here we come. And dry, waxy fries that had likely been cooked yesterday. or possibly this morning. Badly sauced, badly cooked, badly served. Folks, it's fast food. Not expecting a Michelin star here. But that's the point. It's fast food- NOT too hard to get right. We got the ribs, wings, and onion rings. The whole staff is nice including the guy mopping the floor who told me to be careful on my way out. The kitchen guy was so nice as well! Honestly this establishment doesn't even deserve the 1 star. I placed an order over the phone at 5:47 PM and was told it would be about 25 minutes (which was completely fine). I got there at about 6:15 and was told it would just be a few minutes. After standing there for 30 minutes (it was now 6:40 ish) I went to the counter to ask where my food is. Turns out my food was sitting on the counter the whole time I was there. When I brought that to the cashiers attention, she said "no it hasn't we keep moving food out" with an attitude. I was standing next to the counter the whole time and saw my food sitting there getting soggy. Our pulled pork fries had a huge, and I mean huge, piece of plastic mixed in with the food. Like maybe part of the bag the meat comes in? Good food, baked beans are obviously Bush's baked beans. Check your orders before leaving the store. I went in, said that I was picking up and stated my name. The woman there said "I think this is for you." I asked what she meant that she thinks, and whether it was for me or not. She repeated that she thinks it is. Okay, so I asked if everything was there and she assured me it was. I felt the bags and asked once more and left after she told me everything was in there. I get home and they forgot two sides, fries and coleslaw. Not too big of a deal, considering their portion of baked beans on a full rack of ribs meal was a small deli container. I imagine the fries would be a small McDonald's or something equally comical to match a full rack of ribs. I call and tell them I was just there and that they left out those items. They tell me that I can drive back and they will be happy to give me them. I would be fine with that, except that I asked and was told twice that everything was there, when I picked up the food in the first place. I tell the woman that I won't be driving back because of this, and they can send someone over with the items or refund me for those two items. She tells me that they can't refund me, does apologize in a roundabout way by telling me to realize that this was a mistake and then reiterates that I can drive back over. Her taking responsibility for her mistake was nice, but her refusal to straight up apologize, and her initial laziness and to check that the order was complete in the first place leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I really don't even wanna be taking the time to write this but im just so in shock with the quality of food I received. The only real reason we ate any of this is because we spent 50$ and where super hungry. Where do I even start with the inconsistency of the whole thing. We ordered 5 wings, zucchini sticks and 20 boneless wings,and only got 15, 10 of them where 2 little boxes while 5 were in a combo box, and the wings also came in a combo box with little bits of chicken on them for some reason?? (we ordered ranch and blue cheese but only got ranch) The boneless wings where just straight up weird after eating my 2 lemon pepper wing I saw bbq sauce on the bottom of them witch wasn't awesome and the bbq and mango boneless wings had almost no breading on them and i dont normally complain about to much sauce but DAMN they're drowning that's probably why there was no breading. I wont go on and on but it sucks the food wasn't good and I didn't get everything I ordered. My family has been going to this place for years! It even had a different name before, it's really sad how downhill it's been going. They make the place bigger and cooler but the food just gets worse and worse. The bread they used to make was soooo good, actually tasted like garlic bread. I'm not one to post negative reviews about places, but this time we were very disappointed with our order that I thought it'll be important to share. My boyfriend and I have been loyal customers for a while, their food has always been great, literally our favorite wing spot. But this time, it wasn't good at all. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad while my boyfriend ordered the regular buffalo fries. The chicken on both orders had a weird consistency that we just couldn't eat it at all. We ended up throwing away all the chicken from the salad and about 3/4 of the chicken from the fries. I am not looking to get refunded nor getting free food, just make sure you're giving your customers good food quality. OK. I just moved to Imperial Beach and have yet to try many of the local food places. I tried Legends Wings today and I'm definitely pleased. I got their famous Chipotle Chicken Fries. Pricey but the taste and portion is definitely right. Their medium Buffalo is tasty and their ranch adds even more flavor.
