This one is in my neighborhood and there arent really a lot of breakfast options this close to me other than IHOP, which has become tiresome. ive been to the one in Bonita and the quality is excellent. My only complaint is it gets super busy, though i understand thats not the restaurant's fault. Or maybe it is. Anyway, i figured id give this one a shot. i was not disappointed. same great service, courteous, smiling faces. i was expecting a long wait but they had tables available. I'm definitely more of a coffee guy at breakfast, but I will order the orange juice every time I'm here. I will come back just for this orange juice and almost gave five stars off of that alone. Because the food was not quite on the same tier. I couldn't even remember what a frittata was, but in hindsight, isn't this more like just a circular omelette than a frittata? I mean, okay, that kinda is what a frittata....is, but the texture and shape seems a bit off to me. I find the flavor kinda mid. Also, I'll note that the green peppers came in crazy strong for something not labeled as chiles rellenos or something. I found it acceptable, but it's definitely for pepper lovers. I do like the salsa. Aside from that, the potatoes and pancakes were both excellent, but they're still just generic items. Great texture and seasoning on the home fries. My first time here at this location with my good friend . Seated quickly and ordered some good coffee. She ordered the corned beef hash with hash browns and pancakes. Her hash browns were a little overdone and eggs a little too runny. My supreme omelette was good and hash browns perfect. I saved the blueberry muffin . The chilaquiles were really good and next time will try the red sauce. The only issue was it was hot and no air circulating . I will definitely come again . Franco's Flapjack is a bit expensive for what it is. Service was good, our server was really friendly but I did receive something different than I asked for. The cup of orange juice was $10! There were also a few flies inside that we had to swat away even though we were all the way inside. I think there is room for improvement, especially with the prices since it was around $70 for a breakfast for two. read more

My husband and I ordered the same breakfast, but mine with a blueberry muffin, his with an everything bagel. The corned beef hash and eggs were delightful. Everything on the plate had its own unique flavor. The hash browns were fried in butter and the flavor permeated every bite. I ordered mine well done and they were perfect. (We usually can't tell the difference between ours, in most restaurants.) The hash was cooked to perfection: crispy edges while remaining moist on the inside. Even the over medium cooked eggs were their own flavor bomb. My warm blueberry muffin with whipped butter was the best. The bagel was evenly toasted and cream cheese was offered on the side. We came here thinking it was similar to thr bonita one. The first thing we noticed is how hot it was inside. We were sweating not sure if their AC works, but that made us uncomfortable. Next my fritata was sent out wrong. I never ordered the asparagus one which the cheese wasnt even melted. The next one they brought out to me was not a fritata more like a quick omelet scramble. I do know the difference I still didnt complain. My waffle was way overcooked. Almost burnt I am not a huge fan of a crunchy waffle. Again I didnt complain. We kind of just went and took what happened. The place was not packed so I dont see why so much was a disappointment. They couldnt be starting out so im gonna say this place is a maybe. I sat down at a booth. The seats are very comfortable. Not sure about the tables. The cups of coffee are big. But they're too big. The awkward shape of a cup that's 16 oz in size is hard to pick up with one hand, but you can't hold it with the other cause it's too hot! We ordered the regular eggs Benedict. It come as three, so we only ordered one plate to share. But the eggs, even though they were poached were too runny. I like my yolk to ooze out, but these eggs had gone bad. They tasted disgusting to me. I assume they're winning over the public with giant plates of food. But big food isn't always good food. Be sure to mention allergies if you have them. The stars are only for the comfortable seat and the pleasant staff. The food was terrible. We won't be back. Eat at your own risk! read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would, but oh well... you would think that a newly opened breakfast place would prioritize customer service over anything considering that's what would keep this place open, because it certainly isn't the house potatoes. The two old latina women were very homophobic and horrible servers. The first lady, wearing a bandana and glasses, handed us off to a different lady because she did not want to attend my boyfriend and I. She had someone else get us our waters and never advised us that someone else would be serving us, and then the other older lady took our order. She took our orders, but never came back to check in on us or refill our waters. Thankfully they do have some good staff. The gentleman with the long hair who was the busboy was really kind to bring us our food and refill our waters and bring us extra house potatoes and the young lady server was so kind and even offered to take a picture of my boyfriend and I, as she noticed we were taking photos on my digital camera. Those two kind employees made our first experience here nice, but those two older women need to focus on creating a better ambience for everyone and earn their tips. My boyfriend and I did tip the younger server and the busboy because they earned it and the older ladies did not. The older lady with the glasses and bandanna did try stealing the tips that we gave the young server and bus boy, which was so ridiculous. We will not return as this was not a place that felt safe and and inclusive, and I will be telling my parents not to go back. read more

I had a really bad experience customer service wise at this place. I had one at the one in Bonita a few years ago and never went back. I decided to give the Chula Vista one a try. I treated my friend to breakfast. I ordered pork chop and eggs and she ordered biscuits and gravy with a fried egg on the side. 25 minutes later the waitress comes back and says she has really bad news for us. That there is no biscuits because they didn't bake any the night before. As she is telling us this as they come with my plate and a very dried up egg on a plate smaller than a tea cup saucer for her. They then ask her if maybe she wanted some toast and she said yes thinking it was a courtesy thing. First off why did it take 25 minutes to let her know they didn't have any biscuits?!? Second, why bring her a dried up egg and not actually ask her if she wanted something else? Third to have the audacity to charge a full meal for that was an outrage! What happened to customer service? We never even got our drinks refilled and this place was no where as busy as the Bonita one. I can tell you from my experience that this place is not only shiesty but they do not know anything about customer service. Not even an apology. WOW!!! The owner is probably very well aware of this and trains or has the staff trained this way. Yes their food may be good but for the price and the fact that it's the customers that are making him rich have some common courtesy and decency for your customers.
