The presentation and beautiful box it came in with the different levels to the chocolate itself was unlike anything I have ever seen. They each beautifully decorated like gems and tasted unique with spices like cardamom and saffron. I like that they include a description of each chocolate so you know what you are tasting. Since I told them I would be traveling from Houston to Florida, they packaged my box carefully to ensure it stayed safe and in tack. I've made recommendations to a few of my family members who have ordered from them. I like that they have vegan options as well. Nothing beats going to the store but if you can't, their website is easily accessible. I think it's time to order since my birthday was a few days ago. A gift to myself.

My wife and I had such a great experience doing a bon bon-making class at Mostly Chocolate! During…read morethe class, we were able to taste test a variety of the chocolate they use for their shells and got a really cool behind-the-scenes look at the level of care and attention they put into their craft and artwork. It was really interesting to see how much goes into making these chocolates and the amount of detail they put into everything. You can tell they really take pride in the art they create. Dany, the owner, was an amazing host and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. He was very welcoming and did a great job explaining not only the process of making the bonbons, but also teaching us about chocolate and how complex it really is. We've loved their chocolates for years and have always recommended them to everyone. After doing the class, we have an even greater appreciation for what goes into making them. If you're looking for something fun and different to do, definitely inquire about the class. You won't be disappointed!

They have a lot of really cool stuff here though, from handmade/crafted ice creams to candies to boxes of chocolates. It really is a one-stop-shop if you want interesting/middle eastern desserts! I ended up not getting anything since even the dubai chocolate crepe I'd been looking at just looked like it would be too much sugar at once, but will say -- the place was quite packed when we went on a Saturday. There were almost no tables available! It was during the world cup which they did have showing on a couple TVs in there and a lot of people were watching so not sure if that was contributing to more foot traffic than usual (odd to me people would go to a sweets shop rather than a bar or something, but to each their own!). Of note, it is inside a small strip mall, so plenty of parking is available.

This was my first time doing a cocktail and chocolate tasting...2 of my favorite things. I enjoyed hearing the stories about the history of the chocolate as well as trying the tasting chocolate. To start, when you arrive, you will ring the doorbell for them to come let you in, which I guess…read moreconsidering the space makes sense. The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.

I asked to try one of the chocolates he bought--the Blueberry Chocolate. I picked up the rest for my BF and me. Chocolate Bar "Black" - I passed this out at the local theater where I volunteer, and everyone loved it. Dark chocolate is so in right now. What I liked most was that the texture wasn't dry, yet it still had a strong, pleasantly bitter flavor. I assumed it was around 60-70% cacao, and after looking it up, it's actually 62-63%. It's definitely sweeter than the dark chocolates I normally eat, but still very enjoyable. At $10, it was a great way to share chocolate with 26 people. That said, I'd rather spend the extra $13 on their Nama Chocolate and give everyone an unforgettable experience. Royce's Origin Chocolate "Bitter" - This will be hard to review because I'm definitely not a chocolate connoisseur. --Ecuador - Reminds me of a bitter coffee bean. Very fragrant, though I wouldn't describe it as floral, despite the tasting notes claiming floral characteristics--unless we're talking about something peppery. This one was my BF's favorite. --Venezuela - Much milkier than the previous flavor. Lighter and more subtle, almost like drinking coffee and then finally getting hit with the milk foam. I 100% agree with the nutty tasting notes--it gives off strong hazelnut energy. This one was my favorite. --Madagascar - Much sharper in flavor. My BF described it as "fruity," and while I had a harder time deciphering it, I agree that it was noticeably tangier than the others. It also ranked the highest in acidity for me. I don't necessarily taste fruit, but that tang does lean toward a citrus-like quality. It tasted like the outer wilds, for sure. --Colombia - Mmm. My BF suggested caramel or cinnamon notes, but I'm picking up a flavor I recognize and just can't place... nutmeg. It reminds me of nutmeg. What an interesting shift from the bright, tangy profile of the Madagascar chocolate. Blueberry Chocolate - One of my peers described it as "potent," and I completely agree. It's a tiny little bead of chocolate, yet it packs a powerful punch. I believe it's a layered milk chocolate with a blueberry center. It was phenomenal, and I'd absolutely come back for another. Of their many flavors, I'd love to come back and try the Potato Chip Chocolate because, frankly, that's weird as heck... and y'girl loves weird.
