    Red Velvet Cake 9 inch
    Dara A.

Needed a last minute cake for a surprise birthday dinner and dessert gallery came in clutch. I had called earlier in day with several questions that were all abetted perfectly-- wish I caught the name of who assisted me. Called around 8 for pick up at 8:30, and I'm so so so glad I did!! Upon arrival there was a bit of a line, but since I called it in for pick up I was able to grab and go. The cake was delicious, & I'm grateful I was able to secure one from an establishment with such great hospitality. I'll definitely be back & recommend you guys to any and everyone-- especially for the last minute folks. Receipt is attached-- all candles were also purchased from here.

We came here on a weekend night after dinner and the place was packed. It has a bit of a dessert cafe vibe with seating to eat your desserts or have some coffee in house or as take away. I got the rocky road texas sheet cake and my partner got a slice of carrot cake. Both desserts were well done but nothing super special. I think for ~$12 a slice, I expected something more than like a good slice of cake. The positive is that they're open late so for folks who have a late night sugar craving, this could be a spot to check out!

stop by just to pick up and order for my son to deliver, the place appears to be very clean and fast service. They are near the brick and motor Trill burger, and near Costco on Kirby. This seemed to be a popular place. Tonight was my first time hearing of the shop.

Been here multiple times over the years for sweet tooth cravings + we pre-order the cakes for birthdays at the office, and everyone's always a happy camper! I stick mostly to their many flavors of cakes, but their cookies, bars, and other treats are worth a try. There are usually seasonal decorated iced cookies for holidays, events like cancer awareness or LGBTQ, etc too. Cakes slices are definitely on the sweeter and pricier side, but they are big and delicious! The lemon blueberry, red velvet, and Jennifer's chocolate birthday cake slices are my go-to's. The slab flavors are usually on the dry side for some reason. Friends love their tres leches. It's clean and cute inside with lots of seating but it can get crowded during peak hours. Parking in the lot can also get a little crazy then, but there are a few designated spots right in the front. Service has always been friendly, and they have a rewards program too. Top marks for being open into the night and for always helping with sweet cravings! :D

I stopped by a business located next door and I thought I would grab my usual piece of cake, the old fashion. Yellow cake with chocolate frosting! It seems as though they have made some upgrades to the decor as I have not been here in about a year or so. Parking is ok, I also see businesses have designated certain spots with their signs. I ate the cake, so no pic. lol. All in all, they are a gallery with various deserts for everyone!

Back to H-town for a visit, and just had Dessert Gallery delivered to my hotel via Uber Eats (yes, I know. darned sweet tooth.) I'm pleased to report, that it's just as incredible as I remember, and the old diner cake is still perfection. In summation... "Reunited and it feels so good!"

The red velvet cupcake was okay overall, it was a little small but I definitely enjoyed how it wasn't too sweet. The women who checked us out were super nice and fast. The inside was just a standard bakery with a seating area, nothing more or less--overall 4/5

I like their products but the service was horrible They gave us our to go order all wrong didn't notice until we opened it at home. Missing items. Wrong flavors. Allergen hazard. When they gave us the to go order. They forgot the drink, had to ask for it. Waited another 15min for it. Store was empty when we arrived Disappointed at the service. -we order the strawberry cake -The chocolate chip cookie -A cheesecake we got a key lime -Didnt get the monkey bar -german pecan bar

A good place to end your night w your partner. It's most and busy but w a cup of coffee and dessert, it all fades away.

Great spot for the people who have a sweet tooth. I have done a review in the past. The last visit the has been some changes but nothing major. The slices of cake are a nice size that you can even share. The chocolate slice was everything definitely a must for the chocolate lovers. The ambiance is nice it open late so you can go there and have that late night snack. There are a variety of cakes, cupcakes and some cookies.

Instructions were given to me to promptly stop in here and pick up a cake for a surprise birthday party. I recall navigating through the pouring rain to get here and somehow finding a parking spot directly in front of the establishment. Must be the sugar gods/goddesses being somewhat gentle. I expected this to be a simple bakery with a display doing phone/internet orders for pick up. I was pleasantly surprised seeing there is seating here and they serve desserts to order that includes slices of pie, cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, frozen dessert drinks, coffee, and coffee drinks. And of course cake slices. The cakes and pies are pricy ranging from $9.95 - $12.95 per slice (WHAT!?). While this can be a turnoff, the slices/slabs displayed in the display case do look so tempting. I almost decided to order one for myself but reminded myself that I had a job to do and there would be plenty of cake for me at the birthday party. Now for the cake itself, it was a giant sheet cake of lemon blueberry which was a favorite of the party hosts. It suddenly hit me that my girlfriend got me the exact same cake in 9 inch format for my birthday. And how much I loved it! Now I see where my gf and her family get their desserts! The cake fed about 20 of us at the party with leftovers and everyone devoured it. That blueberry frosting mixed with the lemon fluffiness of the cake was straight up what cake is made of. Glad to know that cake is here and we'll be ordering more desserts/cakes in the future for events. May also bring my gf here for post date night to satisfy our sweet tooth!

I love the treats from dessert gallery. The good is good and the staff are so friendly. I also love that they have a huge parking lot in the front so there's plenty of parking spaces to chose from although I try to get there before lunch. Ordering is fast and easy and I love to take my desserts to go so I can watch TV and enjoy my desserts at the same time. Must try if u never had treats from here.

I was going to a birthday party in Houston and I was in charge of getting the cake. I read lots of great bakery reviews (shout out to Cynthia J for her comprehensive analysis of so many great bakeries) so when my friend's husband suggested a cake from here, I knew it would be good and we were not disappointed. We ordered a Toffee-licious cake and it was amazing. The cake itself was excellent and I could have just eaten that without the frosting. The frosting was thick and sweet, so much so that I almost couldn't eat it all but I did. Everyone loved it. The pickup experience was great and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

The cheesecake flavor was okay not overpowering, which I would've preferred more than the almond and strawberry. I think I wasn't impressed with it because the server scooped more of the graham crust than ice cream. I'm pretty sure that's another reason I didn't particularly care for their cheesecake. The horchata was nice with hints of cinnamon and with the split cup made it taste even better.

You're paying for the K-Pop Demon Hunter pop-up aesthetic, the upbeat vibes, the fast service, the themed menu. The desserts? Solid. The Pinky Up Parfait hits. One scoop of cappuccino ice cream comes generous and tasty. Nothing disappoints. But nothing revolutionizes dessert either. This is good execution in service of a limited time experience, not destination-level pastry work. And that's fine. That's exactly what a pop-up should be. The real draw is that everything works together. Vibe, music, service, and desserts that don't let the side down. It feels fun, not gimmicky. That's harder to pull off than you'd think. Bottom line. Pop-ups don't stick around. If the K-Pop theme is your thing and you want solid desserts in a fun environment, go now. If you're just looking for great desserts, permanent spots do it better.

Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
