Beautiful chocolatier store and cafe in Rice Village. They have decadent chocolate gifts, ice cream and coffee. Staff is very nice. They offer ice cream samples. The cherry amaretto ice cream was wonderful! The affogato was a treat. I highly recommend checking this gem out!

5 stars is huge for a place like this because I'm not even a big chocolate/ pastries girl but Winfield's surpassed my expectations!! Me and a friend were just walking around the West University area when we stumbled on this gem and we needed something sweet so we had to go inside. The first thing that caught my eye were the optionssss. This is not a normal chocolate shop. There was everything from chocolate bars to chocolate labubus! Lyman's then on top of that they had cakes, ice cream, coffee, and WINE! The servers were really patient with our indecisiveness so that was nice. And when I saw they had a backyard patio with string lights?!? I was sold. Now onto the food: - the best tres leches I've ever had 10/10 - the dark chocolate covered Oreos shocked me by being my favorite 9/10. The PERFECT level of sweetness - the milk chocolate covered Oreos were up next as a solid 7.5/10. A little too sweet for my liking - the white chocolate covered Oreos shocked me by being my least favorite. The white chocolate was just really overpowering. So yeah if you're looking for a chocolate shop with OPTIONS and a great vibe, look no further. This would be so perfect for date nights or girls nights or even just a cause friend hangout.

#13 out of 100 review challenge Chocolate brought us in and ice cream sorbet had us at hello! This place had the most delicious icecream and sorbet. Their mango sorbet was slightly sweet and light. The lemon Velvet was 1 of the best have tasted . Staff was friendly and let us know now owned by Becks prime.

Any Day cake- yellow cake and chocolate cake mix with a light fudge icing. Not dry and tasty. 5/5 Carrot Cake 3/5 Tuxedo Cheesecake 3/5 Overall, the desserts were good but I don't think the price makes sense. It was $48 for these slices and one cookie. I took one star off for affordability.

After our holiday luncheon, we had to satisfy our sweet cravings. Chocolate bar was recommended. They have Texas size cakes, drinks and truffles. Everything we tried were so good. The chocolate in the cakes and drink were so good esp if you like dark chocolate. Highly recommend to check them out if you're in the area. Service was quick and staff were friendly. They recommended a few of the popular truffles. You can either by a box or individually. Place wasp clean and bright. Thought it was nice. There are seating areas near the drink section but we just took ours to go.

One of the best dessert bars hands down! When I'm home, the trip isn't complete until I grace the place lol. There's cake, ice cream and candy to appeal to just about every sweet tooth. I took my family in the last visit, and we shared a single slice of wedding cake. The slice is enormous and more than enough for three people to share. Another choice that's highly recommended is Aunt Etta's chocolate cake. Crazy delicious.

    Fantastic Aunt Etta's Cake !!!

I went here tonight ordering a slice of Aunt Etta's Cake, which is my # 1 favorite here with the Black Russian and Strawberry Cakes coming right after it. It was colossal in size, very rich, buttery, very chocolaty, moist, firm, not too sweet and very delicious. It was also very well proportioned in cake to icing ratio and one of the best chocolate cakes in Houston imo. It's a blackout cake basically and great for sharing if you desire. Great, friendly, welcoming and efficient service as well. I didn't buy it this time, but the vegan raspberry chocolate bars near the door look and sound very delicious with a fruity, refreshing twist to purchase in the future.

This is my second time purchasing from Winfields, first time door dashing it! I needed it at work and decided to order . Upon ordering there was area for special request and I requested writing . The baker picking my order was so kind to call and inform me to let me know he would need a few extra minutes and to confirm what I wanted and how . I'm so glad I was contacted with concerns but it turned out great! Even the box it came in was cute, feeds a crowd. They focus on QUALITY . You can taste the goodness in all their items. A very diverse menu and their location is so cute and staff is friendly (per my first encounter ) The tuxedo cake is perfection for not too sweet , perfect flavor combo and I LOVE the texture! Anyways . Order you a sweet treat "sweet tooth support" as the box says! It may seem pricey but definitely worth it id say!

If you have not been here in ages, this is a sign you need to come here for some good desserts and see how different it is oh the inside. At first I thought this was a brand new dessert shop as the interior is so different than how it looked back in the 90's, gone is the purple, yellow interior and now they have a back patio that is not fully utilize by the customers here. It was so cold in the store, it felt great eating our dessert at the back patio. I had a gift card and the server explain to me the term for the card, great service here.

there was absolutely nothing special about this chocolate bar. it was aesthetically pleasing and the service was friendly. the desserts were flat and the wine pours were absurd. the price of everything felt hyper inflated for what was offered. i don't think i would return, but if you decide to visit.. i hope that you enjoy! bonne appétit

When I lived in Houston I enjoyed going to the chocolate bar in Rive Village. When I happened upon Winfields Chocolate bar I figured it was a new version and was worried but upon arrival pleasantly surprised. They have ice cream, truffles and cakes! As well as to go items pre packed to take home. I tried the butter pecan ice cream and the richness tied in the pecan flavor just right. It's defiantly something you should share but so good! We got some truffles to go and I would say they are good but the espresso flavored one didn't have aa smooth of texture as the others. All in all a great visit! Also they have a chocolate trea leches that was phenomenal. I recommend stopping by if you're looking for a chocolate treat or just a treat.

There are so many options here, it was a little overwhelming, but the staff was so nice and helpful. They have truffles (so many kinds, prepackaged and not), chocolate covered pretzels, toffee bars, cakes, cheesecake, tiramisu, coffee, and ice cream! Unfortunately, I was only able to taste one of the flavors (caramel tornado; it was delicious btw) before having a mini allergic reaction (btw all of their ice cream (except the sorbet) is made with eggs), so I ended up getting the mango sorbet, which was also yummy (though not the best sorbet I've ever had). I would go back to try some of their chocolate toffee and coffee for sure!

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.

I asked to try one of the chocolates he bought--the Blueberry Chocolate. I picked up the rest for my BF and me. Chocolate Bar "Black" - I passed this out at the local theater where I volunteer, and everyone loved it. Dark chocolate is so in right now. What I liked most was that the texture wasn't dry, yet it still had a strong, pleasantly bitter flavor. I assumed it was around 60-70% cacao, and after looking it up, it's actually 62-63%. It's definitely sweeter than the dark chocolates I normally eat, but still very enjoyable. At $10, it was a great way to share chocolate with 26 people. That said, I'd rather spend the extra $13 on their Nama Chocolate and give everyone an unforgettable experience. Royce's Origin Chocolate "Bitter" - This will be hard to review because I'm definitely not a chocolate connoisseur. --Ecuador - Reminds me of a bitter coffee bean. Very fragrant, though I wouldn't describe it as floral, despite the tasting notes claiming floral characteristics--unless we're talking about something peppery. This one was my BF's favorite. --Venezuela - Much milkier than the previous flavor. Lighter and more subtle, almost like drinking coffee and then finally getting hit with the milk foam. I 100% agree with the nutty tasting notes--it gives off strong hazelnut energy. This one was my favorite. --Madagascar - Much sharper in flavor. My BF described it as "fruity," and while I had a harder time deciphering it, I agree that it was noticeably tangier than the others. It also ranked the highest in acidity for me. I don't necessarily taste fruit, but that tang does lean toward a citrus-like quality. It tasted like the outer wilds, for sure. --Colombia - Mmm. My BF suggested caramel or cinnamon notes, but I'm picking up a flavor I recognize and just can't place... nutmeg. It reminds me of nutmeg. What an interesting shift from the bright, tangy profile of the Madagascar chocolate. Blueberry Chocolate - One of my peers described it as "potent," and I completely agree. It's a tiny little bead of chocolate, yet it packs a powerful punch. I believe it's a layered milk chocolate with a blueberry center. It was phenomenal, and I'd absolutely come back for another. Of their many flavors, I'd love to come back and try the Potato Chip Chocolate because, frankly, that's weird as heck... and y'girl loves weird.
