This is the closest liquor store to my house and I'm glad it is. They have a great selection of beer, wine and liquor, and it's all reasonably priced. The employees are all really helpful and it's a new, clean store. Plus they have Skinnygirl margaritas :) and they had free samples of red and white sangria when I visited last! read more

Fantastic wine selection, specially for rare finds. Very helpful staff who provide great wine suggestions when needed and great online delivery prices! Love having the great deals online and never have to leave my house! read more

Wine Anthology is a breath of fresh air. I am used to Elizabeth's grimy corner liquor stores that basically scream RAPE when you walk in alone. Wine Anthology is big, clean, and has a large selection of wine as well as beer and liquor. I've never not found something I wanted in here. Unfortunately they close kind of early, but that's not their fault...damn NJ laws! read more

I don't see where the good reviews come from, It's called Wine Anthology, you would think the wine selection would be huge. Small selection. Try Vine Republic on route 22 in Mountainside, awesome place for wine. read more

My first dealing with this company is also my last. I placed a 'futures' order with Wine Anthology because they had the best price through several specialty search sites. Five days after my order I got what seem to be a system generated email that said my order was void. Three calls to the company (during business hours) went straight to voicemail. I launched a chat session on their website, which clearly indicated an agent was available. I got the typical 'My name is [xxxxx], how can I help you?". After my inquiry for the void and 2 repeated requests for a response, I had to log off because obviously no one was there. Sure some orders cannot be filled for high demand products but this is not that high in demand. Good merchants will offer alternatives for similar products if they can't fill the order. The average companies will at least provide an explanation. This company cancels the order and disappears. read more

Been going to this liquor store since they came to town. The past 4 times I've been there they didn't have what I was looking for. Beer wasn't stocked and what was stocked wasn't cold. I wasn't looking for anything out of the ordinary- I was there for Blue Moon, Angry Orchard and the latest popular beer- Bud Light Orange. Who wants warm room temp beer?? Step up your game Wine Anthology. read more

Perfect place to have a liquor store. Good selection and reasonable prices. I was there today and well service at the cashier was pretty slow. And i saw why , i got up here and the cashier was using her phone and texting while trying to help me. Phone use is a no no in customer service just saying read more

Given the name, I didn't have high hopes for the beer selection, but was very pleasantly surprised. By far the best in the area with a lot of beers I haven't seen at other local shops. Definitely my new go-to beer shop. read more

Prices are prices. This isn't a discount liquor store. What they do have is a really smart staff that knows wine. Good selection and I rarely leave without a good recommendation that I happy with. Once in a while they run out of my favorite Sean Minor, but I'm a fan of anywhere I can leave smarter (about wine) than when I walked in. Lots of good beer selection too. read more

Christina is an exceptional employee! No matter how busy, she always has a smile on her face and is super interactive with all of her customers. Thank you for always brightening my day christina! read more

I saw a good price on some champagne on their website and stopped into the store hoping it would be the same. Luckily it was and they had plenty available. Prices did seem a little high on some of the items but the sale items had great prices. I'd come back again. read more

this review is mainly for the beers as im not a wine aficionado a few reviewers call this place "huge" please keep in mind that is very subjective as Witty's on St George in Rahway & Shoprite on South Ave in Westfield I'd consider average-above average size & both are definitely larger than this place most of the beers are on the "2nd floor" just a few steps or if you're using a cart they have a ramp they have about 6 coolers but saw almost nothing I recognized; I'm sure it's because a lot of what i was was craft but unless there is some sort of informational sign I don't have time to grab each bottle & try to find info on the label the only 2 I did recognize were a 4pk for $10 & a 6pk for $14 which is on the high end ie the same 6pk at Witty's was $9.75(maybe being in Clark &/or the costs of moving their business from one location to another has something to do with it?) None of the floor beers had prices except for a couple which were written on the side of the box. Does it take that much more effort & cost to post prices? I had a couple of questions but no one was on that floor & no one was walking around the 1st floor so my only option would have been to go back downstairs & speak to 1 of the clerks behind the counter then go back up(idea: when it's not busy & you have more than 1 clerk standing behind a counter doing nothing have them walk the floor) i will stick to Total Wine(now that is considered "huge" as you could fit 3-4 of these in there) or Shoprite read more

I ordered 2 bottles of expensive whiskey 2 weeks ago and never got a shipping confirmation. When I contacted them they told me they sold them and wouldn't be getting them back in. I've never been inside the store but I will never be ordering through them again. read more

I placed an order on 12/17. When it arrived, they made a mistake with 5 bottles and sent a label for me to return those, which I did. Two weeks passed without my getting those I'd ordered. The first explanation was that they were out of stock on the wine I'd ordered. Today (12/31), I got a call saying they received the return and had been waiting for that to replace my missing wine. "We couldn't be sure you would send them," I was told. That's not what a reputable company does. They correct the error. And I pointed out they'd faxed a shipping label so could have tracked the shipment if they didn't trust me not to return $5 bottles of wine I hadn't ordered. Both the mistake and the way they dealt with it were disappointing. I see they responded to the other negative review and expect they will do the same here. read more

Huge selection. Will always have what you want, if you can find it without asking. It can be a little overwhelming.

Bought 2 cases of wine in this store plus a few bottles of wine. Each case misses 1 bottle. This is ridiculous!

So I ordered a bottle of hard-to-find bourbon from these guys. The order was shipped the very next day. The bourbon arrived across country, in a very secure manner within the week. Now, I have a nice bottle that I can either save as a collectable, or open when I get that big job! The bourbon was priced $15 less than anywhere else on the web, or any physical location that claimed they could backorder it, and I couldn't find it at specialty stores like K&L or Vintage Wine & Spirits. They were also very responsive to my e-mail inquiry, replying within 24 hours. 5 stars for these guys!! read more

I was pleased to find online some of the beers I can't get out here in CA so I placed an order. I received my order safe and sound but I had some concerns so I wrote an email.....nothing. They sent me 3 bottles that were barely filled above the shoulder and a premium priced IPA that was over 4 months old! Someone personally handled and wrapped each bottle and I would think one would notice these low-fills. I understand things happen but it would be a great idea to read and answer the emails sent to your "help" account. I sent my email over a week ago. read more

They are the most helpful and the cleanest place I've ever been. The absolute best liquor store I've ever been to. Could not get any better. They have everything and if they don't have it they can get it for you. read more

I ordered 2 cases of a wine and they gave me wrong vintage. I called two days in a row and left detailed voicemails. I then followed up on 3rd day with an email. Still no response. And you cannot get a real person when you call. Their error and now I'll have to drive 40 minutes each way not knowing if they even have the correct year ordered. Terrible, actually, non existent customer service. Ann Cutillo read more

I've ordered from wineanthology.com a few times and I've never been disappointed. They always ship orders out quickly, the shipping charges are reasonable, and they have a great selection of spirits and wines that are incredibly hard to find locally. Wine Anthology was the only source in the US for my favorite South African chardonnay, so I decided to give them a whirl. Price was quite fair. Online ordering was easy. Shipment came on time with no damage, encased in the safest shipping carton I've ever seen for wine. I liked the service so much, I just ordered another case of the same wine (though a more recent vintage, as the prior one is now out of stock.) I look forward to working with Wine Anthology again! read more

I placed my order the night of May 30. They shipped Fed Ex and I received emails tracking the package from pick up to delivery. I received my order today June 2. Awesome service! Will order again! read more

After my initial bad experience when they first moved I am pleased to say they are so much better. The place is now organized. They really have a wide selection of beers and wines. The management has gone out of their way to rectify my poor experience. Happy to be a satisfied customer and wish them the best of luck in their location. read more

Over the holidays each year my company sends wine to many of our clients as thank you presents. I found Wine Anthology on the web and spoke to them a few times, they made my holiday orders a breeze. Told them what I wanted and just emailed the address and I was done. I will be back again and be sure to recommend. Thanks guys! read more

Placed an order and it went flawlessly. Order on Thursday and was notified of weather delays immediately (which is great that they are keeping an eye on this). They shipped it out the following Monday because they though it is safer and upgraded me to 2 day air instead of ground. Excellent job done! Will be a repeat customer. read more
