Cheers is a new shop open on St George. Nothing too out of the ordinary here although the wine section is large and they do seem to have a nicer and growing selection of micro beer. This is the best place in the area for Craft Beer (steady supply, can order lots of limited beers) and it also has a massive wine selection. The owner is very cordial, the staff is friendly. If you want a particular wine taste or pairing, the owner will be happy to help you. He really does get an excellent supply of IPA and other craft and limited beers; just ask if you don't find it. I love this place! Staff is super friendly , fun,& helpfull. The manager who i nicknamed (Raj) is the best he always gets what i need and carries my goods to the truck. I cant forget Daniel in the back who keeps all the shelves full and always cracks a joke when i see him. I drive past a different liquor store everytime just to see the boys at CHEERS. My Black Brothers and Sisters beware of this place. Just expect to be watched and followed as soon as you step through the door. I went here the other day just to pick up a bottle of Whiskey. I'm sure they watch all Black people coming in there since they think only black people steal. But anyway, I went to get my whiskey, but I didn't want the first one on the self because the first and second bottle looked dirty, old and sticky, so I reached for the cleaner bottles in the back. We all know they put the old stuff in front and the new stuff in the back. So, I get my bottle, head to the counter to pay, and immediately when I turn around, behind the counter this old Indian man staring at me. Then he says something to me in a very heavy accent, I could barely understand what he was saying. So, he started chastising me about moving the bottles? Then he goes on with an instant attitude and rant about how the employees got to fix them back, if I break the bottles by moving them, how I won't pay for them, on and on, blah blah blah!!! I said I have money, anything I break I can easily pay for, and I didn't BREAK anything, so what are you talking about? I thought he was just joking at first because it ridicules to tell a customer he can't move and pick the bottle he wants, the bottle he is paying for! I thought this was a liquor store, not a museum. So, as he whined like a little girl about basically nothing, I told him to keep his bottle, I'll keep my money and just go to another liquor store. I'm sure he won't miss my business, but I hope this review will at least warn and help the next customer not get chastised and followed in this establishment. I've been here a few times before, not the friendliest staff towards blacks. So glad to be moving out this neighborhood, so I wont even have to look at this racist store in passing. So, beware, and if your black just go to another establishment where they will appreciate your business. They don't want us in their store. Hopefully Covid will hurt their business so they can appreciate all paying customers no matter what color they are. read more

This place is great if you need some BUD but if you need wine keep going down to Wegman's......The staff, I believe mostly from India, can't spell cabernet never mind recommend it....They are funny though cause each time I looked around they would follow me and point to crap wine like "cupcake" and tell me they sell cases and cases so it must be good!!! They convinced me to buy a crap bottle of chardonnay that was worse than 2 buck chuck and when I wanted to exchange it you would have thought I wanted to return a 500 SL that I drove for a year!! They went nuts....Service is not part of their deal Not a fan-they are low class and should not be in the wine business....They haven't a clue about what they sell...just taking advantage of the local (american) drinkers!! Funny-why do I NEVER see Indians in these Indian owned liquor stores???? can anyone answer that please! WEGMAN's is much better and even Trader Joe's has better service.... read more

Selection is really limited here. Went in for a bottle of amaretto and all they had was Disaronno, or some never heard of name bottle. Their beer and wine selection seem way more impressive but if you're looking for something else, good luck here. Prices are ok but I really don't waste my time coming here since they really don't have a variety of stuff. read more

If you are a wine enthusiast, this is definitely a place worth stopping by. They have a moderate selection of both popular and unique wines for competitive prices. As someone who likes to try various European and South American wines but does not want to spend much for one bottle, I found myself buying (and later enjoying) 5 bottles. It was obvious that Cheers is selective about the wines that they choose. Even the 6 dollar bottle was very good! read more

This used to be my favorite farm market. I moved away for a few years, came back and viola! It turned into a wine & spirits store! I just can't be mad about it. It's a decent size place with a surprisingly good variety of wines and liquors. Not a beer fan, so can't comment on that. What also makes it a great place to go is the owner/manager? Really nice guy and knowledgeable on his products! Other staff I've encountered are all very courteous. Place is clean and prices are reasonable. Who needs vegetables anyway?? read more

The service here is a joke, They double charged me and told me to dispute it with my bank. How ridiculous... I buy two bottles of beer worth $ 4 and they have a joke about the total cash amount. They have very few single beer selections, I prefer going to Liquor Locker and Murphy's as they have excellent service, they do not judge and you have a huge range of choices. At Cheers, that's not the case. I don't wanna say anymore as I can go on with my worst experience not once, not twice, but thrice.... and that's a strike three. read more
