Veritas Studio Wines - Wine club - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - New York, New York

My new favourite wine store in this area. The wines are unique and special while also being very reasonably priced. The sales associate was personable and helpful and helped me pick out a wonderful pinot. Will be visiting a lot more. read more

Great place! You will always try a new wine when you go and it will be affordable. The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about wines be sure to have a chat with him read more

This tiny wine shop is kind of hidden mid-block on W45th Street between 10th and 11th Aves. We didn't even notice it the first few times we walked by, until one night we saw the neon "WINE" sign in the window. Although I have a favorite wine shop two blocks away, I'm always up for checking out wines. For a small place they have a wide variety of wines at various price points starting about $9 a bottle. The majority of the wines are imported, not widely know vintners, but I spotted a few good mid-range California wines. It seems like the shop owners hand-selected their favorites for sale. Indeed, there were signs that say "Tim's favorite" "John's favorite" or something like that. One of the owners was there and he was very helpful. Even more helpful for customers would be adding small shelf signs indicating a wine's various ratings, tastings, drinkability and food pairing suggestions...especially since some of the varietals were truly unique! read more

Post-COVID, an incredible wine store with a great selection that is not overwhelming and has a variety of price points to satisfy everyone. Enjoy chatting with the people at the store, and I hope that the business continues to kill it! read more

best little wine store in nyc . Ask for Jeremy Kaplan , the owner . tell him Dan sent you !! he knows wine .

This is an amazing wine shop. They have awesome wines at a great price. Also the people are very knowledgeable about their inventory and I have never been disappointed with their suggestions. Always my got to wine shop read more

We went to this little gem of a wine shop several times during our trip to nyc. Their wine selection and service are exceptional! We are sommeliers and were really impressed with their recommendations. They have a wide selection of chilled wines ready to enjoy. Skip the big stores and go here! read more

Jeremy is knowledgeable about wine (of course!) and talented at sharing that knowledge without making you feel like an idiot for not knowing more about wine. If you like a wine and it's out of stock, they'll order it for you or let you know when they'll have it again. They do really cute holiday theme stuff (including Passover plague bottle decorations!) and giveaways and have a loyalty program. Even if you don't drink often, it's nice to stop by and visit this local small business that is a beacon of the neighborhood, keeping Hell's Kitchen buzzed. read more

I highly recommend this wine store. The guys who work here are so helpful and friendly. They have an excellent selection and are very knowledgeable. Great neighborhood gem n read more

Hands down best wine store in Manhattan! Great value, amazing personal advice, carefully selected unique wines, and very friendly proprietor. Thank you!! read more

My local wine shop that I keep forgetting to review. Not the biggest of places, which is okay since it's never crowded. A solid variety of wines at decent prices (I've seen as low as $12 for a good red). The guys who work the place are always up to suggest a certain type depending on what you're eating or doing. Not much more to say about this spot. Sure it's not in the most easily accessible areas, but it's worth heading over. read more

I really want to love this place because the people who work here are nice but out of the maybe 10 times I've been there, more than half of those times the wine tastes like vinegar immediately after opening it. No exaggeration. Like vinegar. :( read more

The guys at Veritas are really great. They are always very helpful. In the past they have advised me with some low-brow food pairings. I now know the proper red to go with a dinner of dry Kashi cereal. They have also pointed me to a ten dollar fruity, but not too sweet white "that you can really guzzle." These guys are really knowledgable without the snobbery. They also give a neighborhood discount if you live or work in the area. Go here all the time! read more

Veritas Studio Wines is a great neighborhood favorite. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly in my 3 years coming here ... consistent. It quickly became my favorite neighborhood wine shop. Its cute and eclectic, and the staff have grown to know what I want when I walk in. They also introduce me to new wines every time I come in. As far as the one negative review of this place, I personally know that when it was written, the customer was angry because she was turned away for being inebriated. In my honest opinion I'd prefer to have a responsible wine shop that cares about the well being of their customers. The best part of this place, they sell a variety of wine that you can't find elsewhere & work to maintain their knowledge of the over 400 bottles of wine in the shop. If you're looking for a place that cares about their customers, quality of their product & generally a place you can go & feel comfortable... this is it. read more

Come in Happy. Leave even Happier, & I, being British, should know. This place is soo bloody GREAT, that I don't even need to go to " Happy Hour" any longer. I cook & bake a lot with wine, & sometimes I even put it into the food. The owners there ,Jeremy & Mike are soo knowledgeable about their wines, & you'll get a wee introduction, to the ones you're interested in. I love RIESLINGS,& this place has the best of the best, & wines that NOONE else has. Their motto is " If other places have them, we don't want them . " AND they don't push you to buy, soo of course I did buy. Next time I'll get them delivered, as 25 bottles ( clink clink) are too much for me to lug home. Yes THEE BOOZE WAGAN HAS ARRIVED. Whoo hoooo. Cheers all. read more

By far my favorite neighborhood wine store. It's tucked away in an unassuming entrance of 45th Street, between 10 and 11 and among the hustle and bustle of mechanics shops and plumbing companies, occupying what used to be a movie studio. Their inconspicuousness challenge is everyone else's gain, since this is a true jewel, with superb and friendly service, knowledgeable staff and absolutely outstanding wines. Small wineries, great varieties and a catalog that tops 800 labels are half of what makes this a great find. The shockingly affordable prices are the other half. I belonged to a wine club. I use the past tense because dropping my membership to become a member of Studio's Club (yes: they have a club, too) was a no-brainer. Don't do yourself a disservice. Stop by he next time you need real wine. read more

A hidden gem in Hell's Kitchen!! We have lived in the area for 5+ years and can truly say that you will not find more attentive and intelligent wine enthusiasts that work here! They understand our pallets and feel like I have become a more refined wine drinker thanks to them! They have an amazing selection of wine that no other shop in the area can rival. What's even better is that they will pour you a little wine while you peruse the shop! They even helped me with wine crates for my wedding! You guys rock!! read more

This is my favorite wine shop in Manhattan. They offer a great variety of eclectic wines at many different price points. The owner is super approachable - if you ever have any questions or need suggestions, he's definitely the right person to go to. read more

The absolute best wine store in Manhattan. I'm in here about once a week and choose to go here due to the prodigious selection and the quality of customer service. Every time I've walked in (literally, every time) an employee has helped me make a selection. With this gem in the neighborhood, going elsewhere just feels wrong. Not only is this the best wine shop in HK, it's the best shop overall! read more

The only place to buy wine in HK and absolutely worth the venture If you don't live in the neighborhood... I've enjoyed every wine I've purchased here! read more

They have a great collection. I always have an open mind when I go to this place. Quaint pretty wine cellar across the corner. The guy has so many suggestions and they're all so good. Discovered my favourite Pinot from here! read more

I only wish I'd discovered this place the moment it opened! My neighborhood go-to, but I would travel here if I moved! The owners are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, I've never been steered wrong. The selection is wonderful, featuring tons of under-the-radar wineries or grapes. I always leave with a list longer than when I came in, because there are always new things I'm dying to try! The prices are also very reasonable, even more so given the quality and curation of their stock. read more

I never write reviews, but Veritas Wine Studio is worth it. This hidden gem is just the best, it's so worth the walk a block or two west. It's just perfect - great wines, great people, a monthly wine club that comes with their own (Jeremy's) written notes on each wine, monthly tastings on the deck... Almost bizarrely, incredibly perfect. Go. read more

Love this place! Recently moved across the street and checked it out with my boyfriend before dinner. Greeted kindly and asked what we were in the mood for. Recommended a white wine to go along with our dinner. Wish I could remember the name of the guy that helped us out, because this has hands down been one of my favorite wines. Absolutely perfect! This is definitely our go to wine store! read more

This is my absolute favorite wine store, and that's saying a lot as I frequent many! I've lived in HK for 6 years and was just recently turned on to this spot by a friend. The selection is like no other you'll find in the city and it's a perfect place to try some unusual bottles at very reasonable prices. The staff/ owners are super nice and helpful! Yay, as good as it gets!!! read more

What we all wish for in a local wine shop... stopped in after hitting Gotham Market for Ample Hills ice cream to pick up wines for a dinner party. The owner? gifted me a small bottle of champagne to honor the birth of my baby! This kind of service/kindness is so welcoming and I am returning (not for the freebies, but bc this establishment obviously is in business to not only make a profit, but out of the love of wine and people. read more

Amazing find in Hell's Kitchen, though tiny the selection is well curated and the staff impressive. Jeremy has not steered me wrong with any of his selections and currently I also became a "wine of the month" member. It is a great little shop that NYC has less and less of. read more

I don't really write reviews, but this is an exception. This is a place that makes a NYC neighborhood feel like home. They have excellent wine, personalized recommendations, and always a welcoming touch. The staff is singularly excellent and always happy to guide you through tastings or even help with event planning. Can't recommend this spot enough for any wine. Without a doubt, my favorite wine store in the city and easily one of my favorite places in the city period. read more

Kind, helpful staff found me the right bottle of wine at the right price. Lots of uncommon wines, arranged by grape type.

Great wine and an incredible customer experience. Every suggestion they've given me has been perfect. Veritas also gives back to the community. They give a percentage from each purchase to PS 51. read more

Friendly owner and will help you pick out the perfect bottle to complement a dinner and/or special occassion. Perfect descriptions of the wines and friendly prices. Small, friendly, and cozy. They also run specials (eg. Wines for Autumn). The only place I go to when I need a bottle. read more

What a hidden gem! So happy we walked into Veritas tonight, Jeremy gave us a warm welcome and quickly helped us select the perfect wines for an impromptu gathering tonight. Hard to find a great shop like this anywhere in the midtown area. read more

Absolutely amazing! This is my first Yelp post and I am more than honored to dedicate this to Veritas Studio Wines. I brought in a bottle of wine with a broken cork. And the store owner kindly opened it for me and told me that he actually has a degree in opening up broken cork! He learned it in Switzerland for 8 months! Anyways, amazing shopping experience and great vibe! read more

I'm in from out of town and needed to have a case of bubbly for a party, chilled and ready when I arrived. Everyone went out of their way to help me by phone a few days before. One of the owners helped me navigate their selection. Tess decorated the bottles...so sweet...and even called just to confirm that everything was prepared the night before. Thanks so much for making this experience seamless. Can't wait to pop the corks and I look forward to shopping in person next time I am in town! Excellent service, knowledgeable assistance and super competitive pricing on out-of-the-ordinary wine selections. What more could you ask for? read more
