This place is a much better choice for me than the one on Oak Tree closer to my house, especially if I need help or someone to talk to about my selection. There is always a very knowledgeable person or persons there to assist particularly with finding or choosing just the right wine. I have also rented kegs there and they insisted on helping me out to the car despite my saying I didn't need help....I did need the help and it was much appreciated. read more

The floors are still bare concrete and the lighting isn't great, but now the shelves are full so this definitely rates an upgrade to three stars. Oak tree liquors sells plenty of macro brews, some craft beer, a little cider, plenty of wine from all over and a decent selection of hard liquor. For example there's several tequilas but no Mezcal. Huge coolers stocked with beer and wine too. Discount?? Well, Prices are all over the map, I scored a six pack of my favorite German Pilsner for less than $9, but some of the liquor was surprisingly pricey. read more

Pretty big place with good selection of reds, whites, and beer. The whole side of the store is refridgerators filled with beer including craft beers by the bottle and they have bigger packs. For wine, it's separated by region which I like and they had a big selection. There's some sales that go on and for the regular priced wine, they're about average price for their respective "true" prices. The staff is helpful and I did not feel like they were watching me. The checkout lady could be hit or miss, I experienced both. Overall, I'll keep coming back here for more wine and beer since it's my local liquor store, a decent one at that. read more

This store recognizes that and while it has your run-of-the-mill beers (Coors, Miller, Bud) it has a great selection of beers that you won't find at your everyday liquor store. I'm always on the lookout for new beers and there were a good number of beers here that I haven't seen before. Not only did they have a huge variety of American craft brews but also from Europe and across the world. I called to tell the store that the winter craft beer pack was summer ale and an October beer, no winter beer in the pack. (This is obviously a way to clear out old beer). The clerk stated summer ale belongs in the winter pack and then abruptly hung up. I called back to ask for the manager. I have found the prices in this store to be very reasonable. Because of it's location, I have never had a problem finding parking. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Best beer selection that I've been able to find in the central NJ region. They have all of the big names in microbrews, plus a few that you probably haven't heard about. Import beers are along the back wall, grouped by country of origin. They are also one of the only stores in the area that lets you mix-a-6, which is awesome. Don't be offended by the staff wanting to help they're great with helping you make a perfect selection. You can spend 10-15mins in this store easy if your having a party. This is my go to place whenever I need to buy drinks for any reason. They always have a pretty good selection of beer, wine and spirits and their prices are actually pretty good. Everything is organized in what I call a logical way and it make s shopping for what you want a breeze. If you don't know what you want or if you do need help finding something the people who work there are very friendly and are always around to answer any question you may have. Every now and then they have samples of new drinks that they may be offering and they usually have some kind of deal for the drink that they are letting you try. I've found the samples to be hit or miss with some being good enough for me to get a bottle and others being odd drinks that I wouldn't imagine sell to well. They also have a humidor for cigars but their selection isn't that extensive. Overall I like this place a lot and it's close to me so I usually shop here when I need drinks. read more

Oak Tree has a great selection of beers. I give it a 3.5 - 4 because it's really the only store in the area where I can find Trappist and other Belgian Abbey style beers such as Rochefort or St Bernardus ABT. They don't always have the best selection in stock so it's a good idea to follow their Facebook page to see what new beers or styles they have in stock. read more
