The BuyRite in Kearny offers a good selection of alcoholic beverages and at good prices. There are usually parking spaces available in the lot where the store is located. The shop is clean and bright. It's a solid beer, wines, and spirits store. Plus, it's one of the few locations where you can purchase Unibroue's À Tout Le Monde - the new Megadeth beer! \m/@_@\m/

I just love ordering from Buy Rite Kearny through Grizzly. The website says 60 minutes but they're at my door in 15! They always give me the benefit of promotions (which do not show up on the website). Today I ordered a 750 ml bottle of Jack Daniels. They sent the gift box with a special holiday cocktail glass included. They always call with any questions and if I call them to adjust my order either adding or deleting items they are always happy to accommodate me.

Absolutely love this place. Staff is very friendly and helpful, this place is nice, clean and organized! Great selection of wine, beer, and specialty liquors! And they have the best prices!! After just moving here about a month ago, I shopped around quite a bit. This is the best place.

This store is a joke. You can only buy ONE Icarus 4pk, no matter how many different kinds they have. Don't bother coming here.

I don't write this as a local. Not anymore. I do write this with the memories of a kid who went…read moreshopping with his parents at PathMark and bypassed Pizza And and Bagels Plus to come here and stock up for the grandest Christmas parties the Pasta Triangle had ever witnessed. There was Seagram's 7 for the egg nog, Dekuypers for the gift baskets, Brotherhood Holiday wine for the table, the occasional case of Brookdale sodas for the kids, Kahlua for holiday sombreros, Miller Chill for my redneck uncle's Christmas present... and quarters from the owners so I could go play Street Fighter behind the bagel shop while my parents had fun. Kelly's was there to grow up with me. When I came home from college, it's where I bought the white zinfandel to go with the Land O Lakes chedarella I'd have during my incredibly adult wine-and-cheese nights. It's where I'd find Brooklyn Double Chocolate, Samuel Adams Boston Lager and several other "weird beers" that my dad would shake his head at before eventually nicking about half the pack. It was where I could finally get my mom her bottle of amaretto and my dad a gift-boxed bottle of scotch and put them under the tree. The years went on, I moved away, and I'd only see Kelly's when I'd come home for Christmas. It's where I'd make the family ice run and where I'd end up when the bottle of Finlandia that had bin in the basement for 25 years miraculously ran dry because the adults could drink vodka again. Sometime when I wasn't looking, the Pathmark closed up shop, the bank went away, the gift shop was no more and the hairdresser bolted. Even the "new" KFC didn't think this was a great place to be anymore. Kelly's stuck it out. It left its wood-paneled little corner shop for the liquor warehouse you see today. For its trouble, it gets all the outgoing traffic from a Shop-Rite that may not be Nutley Park, but is at least Belleville's own. Hey, you can even stop at the Pizza Hut on the way out if you want to see if people still sit in Pizza Huts anymore. I'm writing this review because Kelly's grew up with this old man. I'm out in Oregon now, but my cousins are still in Jersey. However, I discovered that I could order from Kelly's online and pay in advance. With their help, I made sure my cousins got the Holiday wine and Dekuyper's cordials our family's enjoyed for years... and sent them off in reusable Shop-Rite bags with more personal gifts tucked inside. Despite my best intentions, I couldn't get back for Christmas this year. But in recent years, I've been developing a soft spot for my old hometown, especially around the holiday. I remember pulling up to that McDonald's across the street after a long day of Christmas Eve errands with my sister and getting a small stack, only to have a worker sigh audibly when we asked for honey (points for consistency). I remember the many iterations of streetlight decorations throughout the town and the years when we'd get enough snow for sledding beneath the high-tension towers. I remember watching A Christmas Story and thinking how much Ralphie's town reminded me of Belleville. Being able to access a small, familiar corner of it--if only through a website--made this holiday season just a bit better and left me feeling just a bit closer to home. I don't know who owns the place now, but I thank you for your hospitality and wish you and yours the best.

And I called several times more, they didn't pick up the phone.. Finally, Someone picked up the phone, and she said without manager or owner, she can't acccess my order status but according to my order number, there is no shipment they shipped. So I complained that the manager said he already shipped it few days ago and then she wanted me to leave my phone number and she said manager would call me. Guess what?? 3days passed. Nobody called me. I don't even know they really shipped my order or not. They don't pick up the phone from my number. I will report them soon. Be aware! They treat customers like shit with no reasons and scammer! I lost $675

Thankfully found Urban Tandoor today because now I am a fan! Ordered on Uber Eats: Chana Masala Vegan mild, samosa chat (vegan), schezwan noodles (vegan), samosas, lemon rice My notes: - everything came with rice, so you don't need to order a side of rice - everything was ON POINT and DELICIOUS - the noodles are spicy- very tasty but spicy - mild still has a kick (as should be reasonably expected, because it's Indian food), so have water and naan on hand Fresh and tasty, well packaged for delivery. Highly recommend!!

I didn't have a drink, but they do have a full bar, a wine room, and beer on tap. The space was clean and well kept, and the service was professional, our waiter was dressed neatly in a white button-down and dress pants. The food was excellent. Portions were just right, not too big, not too small. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan, and both were spot on. Overall, a great place for Indian food. I'd definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

African cuisine holds quite a range, depending on the country and culture it originated from. Across the US, from vibrant food markets to trendy fusion cafés and transmigration-owned restaurants, one cuisine is rising fast: Kenyan food. It's not as globally mainstream as Thai or Mexican yet, but in 2026 it's becoming one of the most talked-about international food experiences, especially in multicultural cities like New York, Chicago, or LA. My partner, our friends, and I made a reservation at Swahili Village off of Center Street in Newark before the Saturday night performance at the nearby NJPAC. A reservation was easily made hours in advance via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the host at this husband-and-wife-owned establishment. We were promptly seated at a high table by the bar in one of the three spacious dining rooms blending traditional elements paying homage to African heritage with modern touches; Afrobeat music enhances the festive atmosphere to create a warm and welcoming vibe. The menu is built around East African dishes influenced by the region's historical ties to Arab traders, Portuguese explorers, British colonizers, and Indian immigrants. As a starter, we opted for the Samosa. For our main meal, we decided on Suya-Nyama Choma (Beef), Lamb Chops, Grilled Chicken Breast-Kuku Choma, and Oxtails. They came with two sides and got Jollof rice, Mokimo, Sweet Plantains, and Spinach. Our drinks (Flaming Margarita, White Sangria, The Motherland, and Heaven's Nectar Martini) were strong enough and tasted great, with some unique options. One reason why we fell in love with Kenyan cuisine was its balance of flavors. Instead of being extremely spicy or very mild, Kenyan dishes were aromatic, warmly spiced, and tastefully rich & savory. The portions were healthy. We didn't have room for dessert. The service was impeccable. Our server, Fabrice, took the time to explain everything on the menu & recommended drinks and entrees. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Hands down the best food we've ever tasted!

I didn't care for the cabbage or the sauce that went on the fish, but it was mostly delicious. The restaurant is very clean, from the booths to the restrooms. There is good music and also the ladies there were very kind. I came here specifically because a Kenyan guy I was dating wanted me to try it out. It was definitely worth trying, although the server soiled the experience for me. I don't recommend visiting as a woman by yourself. Come with a group or something. That was very weird.
