Long overdue review incoming. I really like this wine shop. They have another location in Jersey City that i have not been to yet. I have gone to this location more than several times in since 2023 and I have to say, I really do enjoy coming to this shop. It's a tight space, but large enough for the inventory it holds. Everything is clearly labeled and I'm always greeted by the employee on shift. I'm not one to interact with sales associates. I prefer to search on my own, but on the occasion that I have asked for help or accepted their help, it's been well received and useful. They don't chatter at you at all and the prices are fair. They have a wonderful wine tasting on Fridays that I keep saying I'll attend but it hasn't happened yet. They also offer beverages on tap and a limited selection of snacks. For as long as I'm comfortable coming in and out of the store, I will continue to shop here and give them my money. read more

I went in today to buy beer and I'm never coming back because the closer with the septum ring ignored my friend and I who just wanted his opinion on what IPA to get and after 3 random walk ins that he served before us, he finally sneaks up on me grabbing beer myself and then tells me to get the most expensive four pack for $26 and it was probably the worst beer I've ever had. It was also sweltering inside the store, so don't trust that guy and don't go to this place. read more

I've been coming to Coolvines for years now and every time I go it's a great experience from customer service to selection, I always find what I'm looking for or something comparable. They literally have things that only a few other shops have in this area have and if they don't, they can get it for you. They have a great wine selection and are always super happy to help finding wines, beers, spirits or liqueurs that you like. This is almost my exclusive spot for spirits and wines but this is coming from a cocktail geek who can't find most of their selection in traditional liquor stores. This place just has a passion for what they do, they know their products and are knowledgeable enough to talk specific grapes or tasting profiles of most things in the shop. Most places you go staff do not have a passion or knowledge of product and that's what sets this place apart. You go for the selection, stay to geek out on specs and maybe have a drink. Let's go!!! OK y'all - (I'm from Texas, so I can officially say "Y'all"), this is a classy wine place with TONS of wine, but also a full liquor assortment and LOTS of craft beer varieties to choose from. You won't find any of the big brewery names here, but there are a lot of regional craft beers. It's located inside a shopping mall right across from a Whole Foods Market. Some of the wine is chilled in coolers, but most are on shelves at room temperature. ALL of the beer is on shelves at room temperature. But have no FEAR! They have one of those magical chilled water cooling machines that gets your wine or beer cold in 5 minutes flat. And if you want to hang out while your beverages chill, you can order beer or wine on tap. Not a huge selection on tap, but at least 5 or 6 choices. You can sit at the tiny bar inside, or you can sit outside their doors inside the mall area on their patio and sip your drink while you wait. The store was very clean, and new looking, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Five stars for this place - absolutely zero complaints! So glad we came in here to grab some wine for dinner! We stopped at the Whole Foods and grabbed some steak and wanted some wine to enjoy with our dinner. My favorite wine is vouvray and we wanted to make sure it would pair well with our New York Strips. They helped us pick out the best bottle of Vouvray. They blast chilled the bottle knowing it was going to be opened for dinner (made me soooo happy). They had got a new shipment of gin and were offering samples. The energy in Cool Vines was AMAZING! The staff was friendly, fun, && extremely helpful! I will be here most often. read more

I find it interesting that the owner responded to my review, which was not negative may I add, in such an arrogant way. Insinuating that I am a consumer of "cheap wine" because I said Coolvines prices can be expensive is quite insulting. As someone who patronizes this store quite often because unlike him, I am a member of this community, I will gladly find another store to purchase quality wine. Solid craft beer selection featuring Icarus, Grimm, American Solera, Timber Ales, and more Unbelievably amazing customer service. Shout out to Elmer and Olajuwon who took great care of me. I walked in, looking for lactose IPAs. They recommended a couple and even went digging in the back. I had to run out before I could pick so they offered to hold onto my cans at the front until I came back later. What a nice place to visit. You can go and sample and the staff is very nice. They let me sample the cider apple which was smooth and I also tried another apple cider flavor drink which I wasn't a huge fan of . The service was top tier.
