CONSUMER WARNING: Think twice before ordering from this company. Our wine shipment arrived with extensive liquid damage due to broken bottles during shipment. This was the second shipment attempt, and the company refused to provide a refund, replacement, or any compensation after the product was reported damaged by the carrier and photo evidence of the saturated and torn box were provided. Instead, they shifted responsibility to the customer, demanded additional photos that were impossible to provide after the broken bottles had been discarded by UPS, and responded with condescending and dismissive emails rather than taking ownership. Product packaging is not sufficient for shipment and does not include "FRAGILE" on the exterior of the box. Shipping damage can happen - especially with glass. Refusing to stand behind your product and treating the customer like the problem is unacceptable. After this experience, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Ownership changed. New owners are very different. Though I had paid the membership cost to have free shipping throughout 2026, they refuse to honor the agreement and now charge high shipping costs for any order less than $250. No reimbursement for the membership cost. In my last order, two bottles were wrong and it took a lot of arguing to get reimbursed; a very rude salesperson told me to just keep them for gifts, they were not going to send the right ones or reimburse. (A different salesperson finally reimbursed the cost; no option to get the bottles originally ordered.) Prices would be great if they didn't charge so much for shipping. I now shop at a different online wine company where shipping is free as long as at least 12 bottles are ordered, which is fair. I do not trust any company that fails to honor its agreements. I purchased the $99 for a year of free shipping last Black Friday and it's been a great deal. Some bottles require you to buy 6 bottles to qualify for free shipping, but I think that's fair. I do prefer to purchase bottles from a few of our local wine shops, but have had decent luck finding bottles on Wine Chateau if I can't find something locally. read more

I do not recommend this company -- based on their behavior, it is very likely a scam. I ordered a few bottles of wine for a dinner party on **October 6**. After a week with no update or shipping confirmation, I emailed them asking when I could expect my order, since the dinner party was scheduled for **October 16**. They failed to provide any clear information, so I decided to **cancel my order**. Their customer service confirmed the cancellation in writing and stated that the refund would be processed within **5-7 business days**. A week later, I received an **automated email claiming that my package had been shipped**. I immediately contacted them again, but after several phone calls and emails, they kept changing their story -- first claiming that they couldn't stop the shipment, then saying they were unable to issue a refund through PayPal due to a "technical issue." Later they offered to send me a **check by mail**, but despite multiple requests, they never provided a photo or tracking details of the check. They continuously come up with new excuses for why they can't complete my refund request. The package itself hasn't moved at all -- it was supposedly shipped on **October 21**, yet its tracking still shows it stuck at the origin. I have **reported the issue to my bank**, which has opened an investigation and temporarily refunded the amount. However, the claim is still open on the bank's side, suggesting that the company is not cooperating there either. The only issue I've encountered with my Wine Chateau orders is with the UPS delivery drivers. My package requires a signature upon delivery. For my last delivery, I scheduled to be home from 2:15 PM to 6:15 PM to accept it. I made sure to be present during that time frame, leaving the front door open so I wouldn't miss the delivery. However, the UPS driver approached my open door, did not ring the doorbell, and instead left a "Missed You" sticker on the front door before walking away. I walked back into the room just minutes later and saw the slip on the door. I quickly jumped in my car and chased down the UPS truck, as I couldn't be at home again to provide my signature. When I caught up with the driver, he never checked my ID or asked for my signature; he simply handed me my box containing three bottles of Grand Marnier. read more

Fedex was set to deliver on a Sunday, which was great since they require a signature.. they didn't deliver on Sunday.. they updated the delivery to a Tuesday between a certain time frame.. still, no delivery. They updated delivery to the next day and my husband had to miss work in order to be able to be there to sign for.
