While my payment was still processing, the cashier turned around and stopped assisting me. When the payment finished, instead of handing me my receipt like she did with the customers before me, she simply told me to grab it myself from the machine. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. The basement is full of books, records, VHS tapes, DVDs, and miscellaneous home goods. I didn't get the chance to get the woman who was working there's name, but she was very welcoming and kind - I was in the basement going through the books for well over an hour, and I never once got the vibe that I was overstepping.
