Insanely dismissive, attitude. Like I truly had to put the phone down because I was about to go in the there and slap the piss out of her. You chose this job, do better. According to her, the store has 0 selection. Nothing at all. If I need something I need to buy it online. I will be escalating this because that was literally the most insane thing to deal with first thing in The morning. I see why storefront torrids are closing down lol. Raggedy.

Not a lot of choice in where to shop if you're over a size 12 or so, so whether or not to shop here…read moreis not really something a factor, unfortunately. When I came in to pick up an item on hold (it's not listed online, unfortunately) there was no acknowledgment of my existence until I went to the checkout to pick up the item on hold. Not even a hello when I first came into the store. I'm not sure if that's because one or both of the women working had friends visiting or not--although neither seemed to be talking to their friend(s) when I arrived (I know they had buddies there because of the way they were talking when the woman left). They checked out my stuff and when I called to get directions to the store (I can't figure out the layout of the HIP at all) they were helpful, but when I entered the actual store did the very least.

Somehow lost (or perhaps the woman at the laundromat threw away) the insoles to my daughter's…read moreTsukihoshi shoes and I needed to get some new sneakers right away. The woman showed me to the sizes I needed and showed me a pair, but wasn't able to offer much help--when I mentioned I thought I'd check a bigger size she pointed out but said she needed to go clean up. I guess this is the difference between coming to a place like this and visiting a place like Carrara Children's Shoes, where there's a larger selection and considerably superior service. But I got a cute pair of New Balance shoes for the little one, and it was helpful that the saleswoman mentioned they have a wider toe box than a brand like Nike, which is better for little feet (and it also made me realize why I don't like Nike shoes). They aren't cheap--the shoes were $50--but we were in and out in about 10 minutes.

The selection was scarce. We asked a worker to size her feet but he said he only had a sizer for infants so he eyeballed her shoe size. He was a really nice guy, but seems like this location was very limited. The prices were too high for some of the shoes as well. Also, this location was very dark inside. A lot of the lights weren't on or working. Seems really run down. If I had to guess, I would say this location is close to closing their doors, but if not, then they really should.

Both of the guys helping me were very helpful and the definition of superb customer service. I really appreciate seeing employees dedicated to customers and willing to interact and assist. If I would need to go to Hot Topic again, I would choose this location ahead of a closer one because I feel I can steadily rely on the quality of service given.

The customer service sucks every single time I am here, and I just came here yesterday with my…read moreboyfriend because he is obsessed with Funko Pops (they have tons of them here), and no one acknowledged our presence in the store. They didn't greet us or even say anything to us, and the one young girl who was working helped a young girl find a Panic at the Disco! shirt, and she seemed so annoyed when she walked her to the back of the store. After "helping" the young girl, the employee literally brushed right past me and did not even say one word to me. Nice way to treat customers, apparently they pretend we are invisible. If you want to buy band shirts, this is your place to go, but don't expect the employees to really help you. Anytime you ever ask if they have more of a size in the back, they say no because all of what they have is out on the floor... Also, most of the time, they won't even say that they can check another location for you or that they can call you when they get more in, instead, they just walk away from you. Very annoying location, but since this store caters to teenagers, teenagers usually don't give a crap about customer service.

While it's a major improvement over the old space, this isn't a Forever 21 you actually make a destination. Rather, you stumble upon it like I did. My goal, when perusing the oh-so-frightfully messy racks of F21, isn't to find young club wear but to land upon the rare vintage-y looking frock or cool waist-cinchin' belts. And that's happened on occasion when I put a little time into my soul searching at the big stores on Michigan Ave. But, really quickly I learned that it wasn't going to happen here. What's up with the meager selection? Why put money and time into a massive overhaul when the goods aren't up to snuff? And, I noticed that quite a bit of the merchandise is already snagged or torn. Ready to wear fashion? More like ready to tear. Get with the program, F21. Just because you're not on the Mag Mile doesn't mean suburban dwellers don't demand the latest fashions.
