It's a beautiful warm and humid day in Chicago and the walk was good. The place is very quaint and small but well lit for shopping. It's a woman's boutique specializing in European clothing. The major designer is Solar and I have not heard of it, but designs are suited for a dressier woman. Thankfully that counts me in as I work in an office where jeans are not allowed and it's conservative so the weekends I can go casual. Back to the store the sizes are European and the lady at the counter (I am assuming is the owner) was very kind to tell me that 34 is usually x-small, 36 is small and 38 is medium. I'm usually a medium but some of her clothing allow for a 34 when I tried on a pair of white slacks. It had a great fit, but buying white is difficult because the material may be more revealing than you might like. Her clothes has many price points as she indicated and sales from the previous season is 20% off. Her summer selection drove me to walk in full of blight yellows, pink, and orange. Do stop in if you're in the neighborhood and support local small businesses!

The styles are geared towards prom and pageant with a heavy inventory of bling style dresses. As another reviewer (Jacqueline F.) mentioned, if blinged out is your thing, this is your place. The dress style they cater is youth focused. I'm not saying this store is not for older folk but depending on style preferences, it may or may not be what you're into. Although my mom didn't find a winner, I will say the dresses are beautiful but I'd like to reemphasize with a disclaimer, they are prom and pageant focused. I can't seem to pinpoint their 2022 entry level pricing but on average, most of the tickets I saw tend to run in the mid $400s. I didn't see a dedicated parking lot. Loyal Customer Statement - Disappointment with Fox's Boutique Corporate Office…read more It was already disappointing over the years Fox's Corporate Office decision to close Oak Brook, the manager there name was Angela and then they closed the downtown Chicago location, leaving only the Skokie store in operation. For many loyal customers, including myself, this remaining location is not conveniently accessible. Several weeks ago, I called the Skokie location inquiring about a long-time employee who had been with the company believe for over 12 years. I was informed that she was no longer with Fox's. Concerned, I contacted the Corporate Office and spoke with a male representative who assured me that someone would return my call. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up. When I called back, I spoke to the same individual, who denied ever stating that I would be contacted. I visited the Skokie store today and was disappointed to find that the clothing selection no longer reflects the stylish, fashion-forward reputation Fox's once had. The merchandise was underwhelming and lacked the quality and appeal I had come to expect. Only one familiar face remained on staff. It is unfortunate that Corporate chose to part ways with a valued and experienced employee who built strong relationships with customers. Decisions like this risk alienating the loyal customer base that has supported Fox's for years. Based on my recent experience, future of the remaining location don't look promising.
