My experience with Jules was the opposite. That is my opinion. Accept it or disregard it. I will buy here in the future **BECAUSE of Alexa and Rachel, DESPITE my interactions with Jules.** I visited the Highland Park location to have four luxury watches sized, timed, function-tested, and assessed for possible service. The store is an authorized dealer for two of the brands. I clearly explained that the watches had been purchased through reputable secondary-market sources and that I was **not** requesting formal authentication or a certificate. I simply wanted an experienced professional to examine them and tell me whether anything appeared obviously wrong. The first person I spoke with understood the distinction. She appropriately explained that official authentication would require sending the watches through service, but said they could size them, time them, and give them a general examination. When I called again to confirm that the appropriate staff would be available, Jules repeatedly interrupted me and sternly emphasized that they would not tell me the watches were "authentic." I was not asking them to do that. When I arrived, Rachel greeted me and listened to what I was requesting. Jules then called out from across the counter that she had **"ALREADY EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WOULD DO--SIZE AND TIME!"** That was unnecessary, unprofessional, and embarrassing. Rachel took over and handled the situation appropriately. Alexa later assisted with the sizing. Both clearly reiterated that the store could not certify authenticity, which I completely understood, but they also gave the watches a professional look and said they did not see anything that immediately caused concern. That is all I had requested. Spotting something obviously wrong is not the same as formally certifying authenticity. Asking for one is not demanding the other. If an authorized luxury-watch dealer cannot recognize an obvious concern while handling and sizing a watch, then both the dealer and the customer have a larger problem. A relationship with a jeweler **IS A RELATIONSHIP.** It is built, cultivated, and curated over time. Every interaction either strengthens that relationship or erodes it. Luxury retailers should remember that they do not know what a customer may purchase, trade, service, or recommend in the future. The long view matters more than proving who is "right" or who is in charge. I sincerely hope this feedback is shared with Jules constructively. This is not written merely to embarrass or criticize her. If management believes my perspective has value, I hope she is given the opportunity to hear it, reflect on it, and learn from it. Everyone can have a poor interaction or an off day. What matters is what someone does with the feedback. Alexa and Rachel understood the distinction and represented the store exceptionally well. We have been customers for the past 16 years and not only have we purchased Rolex and Cartier watches there, but I've also had many watches serviced there. We have also recommended this place to our siblings & friends and they have purchased from them and I will no longer do so. I had purchased a pre-owned Rolex last year out of state and we wanted to get it serviced. But. They refused to do it! The watchmaker "heard" and called the lady at the front desk to tell her to tell me that they wouldn't service my watch. There is technically nothing wrong with the watch however because it was bought used and not CPO so we don't know when the last time it was serviced. The watch is approximately 20 years old. (we did get box & papers with it ) They always say you should get it serviced every 8 to 10 years so since we have no clue, when was the last service, I brought it in to be serviced. I think they didn't want work on it because it was a watch that was purchased outside of their store. Because I really don't understand why they would turn me away. I'm a loyal customer bringing in a Rolex to be serviced but not anymore. I am stunned. Awful customer service! read more

We went in twice to find a Rolex for my husband and my father in law. Long time Rolex admirer and first time buyer. The first time I went in with my husband and son and they were having a trunk show. Katherine was there and she was the sweetest. She fit us in before her next appointment but didn't make us feel rushed at all. She walked us through all the options for Rolex and we chose a few and then she proceeded to show me the amazing trunk show. I tried on vintage Cartier and Van Cleef pieces. I am 77 and have a handicapped parking placard from the state. I could not find a parking space within a short walk to my doctor. But I found a handicapped space in front of a jewelry store nearby No sooner had I parked than a security guard rushed out of the store - supposedly to hold the door open for me. When I said I wasn't looking to buy jewelry, his demeanor changed drastically. He said Razny owns the property and parking space and ordered me to move my car immediately. I did go inside the store to ask for the manager. The sales staff said he wasn't available. I do understand them wanting to have a space for their own customers. But did they have to be nasty about it? The irony is that I likely could have bought anything I wanted in their store! The Highland Park police chief said they do own the lot and parking space. But he also said he thought the guard was too aggressive towards a senior citizen who just needed to park nearby. The store manager, who called me, agreed. Because of the rough and disrespectful treatment, I will never shop at Ratny's. Someone needs to teach them manners. read more

My Razny's Story: Today I took one of my older watches to a local jeweler. It needed a repair and I was told they'd get back to me in the next few days. We spoke briefly and I left. I realized I that I still had most of my lunch break free, so I decided to drive about 8 more miles down the road to Razny's Jewelers in Highland Park, IL. I knew among other things, they were an authorized Rolex dealer. I had been thinking about getting a new Rolex for a while but the internet has been full of warnings about the unavailabilty of certain Rolex watches. So, I almost turned around twice... almost. When I entered Razny's, I went straight to the Rolex section and just as I had expected- there was a large selection of beautiful hi-end timepieces. Now, I work hard but I am not wealthy. I needed a watch that was within my means. I was hoping to miraculously find a specific Rolex; an Air-King. Its an understated, yet elegant watch. Its a quality timepiece. I have worked hard and saved and dreamed for the last two years of owning this watch. And as I look more closely in the display case... I saw one sole Air-King, sitting aside from the other Rolexes. Call me crazy, but as I drove to Razny's, I saw in mind my all of this happening. And I knew that if I didn't take a chance on pursuing my dream watch, I would never own one. Katherine helped me try on the Air-King and I walked out of the store, with it on, 20 minutes later. I could have made the mistake of buying a used one online and I would have paid more for that used one, than I did for my new Rolex today! The staff at Razny's were amazing. They could tell that today was special to me and they treated me like I was someone special. Thank you Natasha, Sally and most of all Katherine! I too had a really odd experience here today. Brought my authentic Rolex in for a general service, cleaning etc. I received it new from an authorized Rolex reseller and it has been serviced 1 time at an authorized Rolex repair center. Since then I did have the standard bezel replaced by a Diamond one. They told me it's now "counterfeit" and they and Rolex will not service my watch. I said ok the Diamond bezel makes it counterfeit in Rolex's eyes... can you put the standard bezel back on and service? They said no. It's actually "full of counterfeit parts". She handed it back to me like it was an item I bought on Canal street in NYC and sent me in my way with a "have a great day!". The watch is 10000% not counterfeit. Did the bezel get upgraded, yes. Really odd interaction. No thanks. read more

I stopped by yesterday in Addison to have my wife's wedding ring repaired. I accidentally dropped the ring and this resulted in the diamond coming loose. I was greeted by Ashley immediately upon entry and she was very helpful and kind. I let her know what happened and she took me right back to Brian who promptly took the ring back and inspected it. After a couple minutes Ashley went to check in with Brian and she indicated he's would be able to repair the ring without me having to leave. He did a great job, showed me it was perfectly set once again, and was really nice to chat with about how he did the repair. Great service for my watches. They have an authorized Rolex repair center on the spot--which will save lots of time waiting for your repairs. In addition, the sales team is terrific. Even though the watch market is tricky right now, they have lots of good info, tips, and suggestions. And don't skip the pre-owned collection. I never returned the first ring. The ring setting was put "On Hold " until you found a larger diamond. I told Marina right at the beginning that I wanted a colorless GIA Certified Diamond. One month later, a larger diamond was presented to me and subsequently put into the setting. When I returned to pick it up, I saw this diamond was yellow (lower quality, but more expensive) next to the side stones in the setting. I was in a bit of a shock. Marina said it was yellow and a lower grade because it wasn't GIA Certified, when she knew that was a requirement of mine, she said "you didn't ask ". I told her I couldn't give this ring to my fiance. On the third try, they came up with a nice, even more expensive stone. These returns were always in Razny's favor, as my purchase price kept increasing. I only visited the store when Marina told me to come in. I had my parents involved from the beginning because I didn't know how to look for loose stones, or talk with jewelers and get pushed in a direction I didn't want to go. Many of the calls between us were just "telephone tag" with Marina. She's very busy. This was not a custom setting. It was just sitting in the case with many other settings. It was like buying a suit. You buy what the store has in stock. Razny, please do the right thing and give me a full refund on the rings you sold me. read more
