Service in here was super slow. Couldn't shop for my girlfriend because the employees wanted to argue the whole time I was there.

Royal Gemz - Missing sequins that were glued on for $2000 dress

Royal Gemz

Deceptive and unfair business practices with poor quality clothing. You will be RIPPED OFF…read more I purchased a new dress from this shop owner for thousands of dollars with one week to my wedding after an original dress did not work out. Once I took the dress home, I noticed the dress was missing over 30 sequins in very visible places because they had been glued on. When I tried to return it within three hours of buying it, despite the website stating that she will accept returns, the seller was very rude and refused to accept the return. She stated that returns were only for online orders, which is stated nowhere on her website. She should not have a written return policy that is a misrepresentation of her actual policy. She offered to replace "some of the missing beads," which is a terrible offer. Why would I accept a partial repair for a $2,000 dress when her workmanship was of poor quality in the first place? The sequins would just fall off again! She also told me that I should have checked for the missing sequins myself! The seller is saying if she sells you a defective product, it's YOUR problem and you assume the risk, which is a horrible business practice. When you pay thousands of dollars for a dress, you expect it to be of good quality. She offered at most a $400 refund, which is unacceptable. She also accused me of trying to make a profit because I was unhappy with another dress I had purchased from a different owner, which honestly made no logical sense as I was just trying to receive a refund for a dress I had barely worn and purchased a few hours before. I highly recommend that you avoid shopping here. The dresses might look nice on first glance, but are made cheaply.

Her inventory is incredible, it took me about 20 minutes to stop ooh-ing and aah-ing first before I could focus on my own wear. She is good at finding pieces that accentuates your body type. Specializes in bridal but has fun party wear, too.

This is a great little shop in Lee Heights that offers high quality (though not outrageously…read morepriced) Women's fashion and accessories as well as adorable high end baby and toddler clothing. They also offer a great selection of unique gifts and other special items that you can't find at the countless big box stores that have taken over almost everywhere else here now. It's like visiting...Etsy...in person. If such a store existed of course. Obviously only a very very small, and very highly curated BIT of Etsy, but still...it's etsy-esque. In a good way. Well worth a visit. Especially for those "extra hard to shop for" and "already have everything" types. They're also great for the many miscellaneous gift needs that pop up throughout the year for coworkers and teachers and other people you might not know very well and whose gift options fall uncomfortably in between even the classiest target dollar bin options your best friends might love, and the fancier more expensive fare reserved for one's own children, close relatives, spouses... The "I don't really know what, but ideally something special and memorable and cool" gifts for all sorts of things like secret Santas, teacher appreciation, miscellaneous baby/bridal showers, office party exchanges, attempts to gain favor or acceptance from cringey or critical or perfectly lovely mother in laws...etc. This place is perfect for all of those and more. I've found awesome Christmas presents for my mother here two years in a row now, and many fun things for myself as well. Best boutique baby clothes section I've seen in the Arlington area, actually. Oh! And Scout bags galore!
