Came her to shop in Reston for first time. Found a beautiful teal cashmere sweater and brought it for my husband. It was such a beautiful sweater and so well made. If I could give 0 stars, I would, but I've had other positive experiences here, so two stars for past service. Standing at the front desk today and completely ignored by staff. One lady on the phone working on a computer issue, one walked into the store...those make sense. The third who turned her attention to the team member who just walked in, ignored my presence at the counter. She finally helped when I said something after nearly 2 minutes of standing at the counter (after she helped to check out another customer) She had long hair, glasses, and plenty of frosty attitude. Hmm . Hard to say anything good about that kind of crappy service. There are plenty of better shopping experiences on/near Market Street in Reston Town Center. Start with Athleta for excellent service. Anthropologie, White House Black Market, South Moon Under, Lululemon, and others are great, too, and more interested in being helpful than disinterested. read more

this place is awesome! been coming here for years, and this is my favourite store in NoVA. the managers are so helpful, particularly this younger female manager and young male, they were positive and make my experience worthwhile. I enjoyed shopping around at the store and any questions I had were quickly answered by the kind staff. In addition to the wonderfully kind managers, there was a young brunette associate with glasses that I found to be incredibly personable and amiable. Don't know why this place has so many negative reviews (I suppose several of them are from several years prior) as I have had only positive experiences here. My advice: this store has a sufficient amount of product, is well organised, and all of the employees are lighthearted and great for a chat! 10/10 will visit again :) read more

This is the second time I've come into this store and not one person on duty has acknowledged my presence. The store is empty and there are 5 employees there and not one of them said hello. There were two women employees in the back of the store. One older one telling a story of her move to the area. They didn't stop their conversation to ask if I needed assistance, yet I know her life story. Two employees at the cash wrap and one on the floor and nothing. I am a frequent shopper of J. Crew. Usually Tyson's Galleria or online. I will never spend money where customer service is lacked. J. Crew charges a decent amount of money for their apparel so this sort of service is unacceptable. Needless to say, I left without making a purchase. They have a huge sign at the door that says "dogs welcome" and I've gotta say they are likely the only ones being serviced! This JCrew is hit or miss. It's not very big, but has the basics, and good sized clearance section. If you want to be left alone while you shop, come here, the staff won't reach out, unless they can really tell you need it, or you ask. They're nice when they do help, but don't expect them to check on you in the dressing room, make recommendations, or ask if they can help you find anything. They did help me with the red phone for ordering an item that didn't have my size in for it, held the items I had picked out in store while I was on the red phone, and then complimented the items I chose, so that was nice. It's quiet here on week nights, but will get nutty during the lunch hours. read more

Yea.....If you could NOT put the sale sign right next to none sale items, that would be great! They had a "30% off shirts" sign on the shelf, yet the shirt that I chose which was right next to the sales sign was NOT ON SALE! I honestly think that normally, this store deserves a 3 star. Most of the sales people I have dealt with are indifferent at best and the parking is always a conundrum- and usually results in paying extra just to shop there. This store has two things going for it: 1) It is the only J. Crew store close to Tysons that you can ship free to. I guess they're trying really hard to kill the store at Galleria for good. 2) They have Matthew (Matt?). This guy went above and beyond when someone else at the store had goofed up. We got the packaged in time- you saved Christmas. :) When Matt answered the phone, J. Crew was a store with 5 star service. Thank you! This is the sort of service you hope you get in retail (or why not buy everything online and save time and money) but it rarely happens. read more

This JCrew is definitely a hit or miss, but the associates seem to know this so they are really helpful when you ask them for those special items. The women's section has more of a selection but their men's side is slowly growing and getting more of those dressy pieces. I was there shopping for a new outfit for myself and was helped by the personal shopper, Julie, she was GREAT. Very knowledgeable, honest, and willing to help you create an entire outfit. Not only did I leave with a few things for myself I also picked up quite a few staple pieces for my wife. I always come to this location with my mom because my mom loves J crew. I can go to her closet and find most of her clothes are from this brand. She is also a regular customer of this location because it is the closest one to my house. However, each time we come to shopping here the customer service that we receive is so terrible! Definitely the rudest employees we ever encounter. No smiling, no great attitude.. My mom ask them for help and they answer like it's the end of the world or something. It's like they don't even want to be there. The store also have a very gloomy vibe! The manager's attitude is so negative too. I would never want to come back here again if it wasn't close to my house. It surprises me that they even get the job to help customers there. read more

I had such a great experience here- I had to write a review to share! So I went here yesterday after a long trip home from my parents house. I needed a gift and knew Jcrew was an easy choice for quality and classic style. I immediately went to the men's shop (to the right when you first enter) I was greeted kindly by a male employee and then began to browse trying to find something nice but very simple -since gift giving for men can be difficult . I was indecisive regarding the sizes and consulted a male employee on the largest sizes carried in store. I like that while the store had several customers-I was still able to ask questions and not have to search for an employees assistance. When I was ready to check out I was helped promptly and my purchase was also on sale even further than originally marked. I have visited the Tysons Galleria JCrew as well as several other locations and I usually am disappointed by the service and organization . This JCrew helped salvage my general opinion- and I will be back soon to find something for myself ! read more

Even though this location has less inventory than Georgetown and Tysons, the store is a pleasure to shop at! I actually now prefer this location over the other ones because the staff is so friendly and attentive. I went in on a busy weekend, everyone said "hello" to me and offered me assistance. Both managers stopped to talk with me. They went out of their way to help my son pick out things that would fit him properly; they even special ordered a number of items. This store doesn't have men's or women's suiting which is a bummer; but, I will continue to come back their customer service. read more
