We originally contacted them about a patio slider and they provided the best quote, focusing on quality and what we wanted, and service. We asked them for additional help with another project that we were doing ourselves. They helped us resolve the issues we had with a different leaking window and door. They caught several problems with the advice and plans we'd been given, which saved us from long-term issues, so we ended up expanding the scope from just the patio to a door and window with them. We got the look we wanted, the safety we wanted, and it was all installed so quickly and professionally. The stucco work looks perfect and was also done very professionally. In both instances, there were multiple employees working at the front desk area on their computers. While they may have been busy, no one acknowledged or greeted us when we walked in. Even a simple "Hi, we'll be with you shortly" would have gone a long way. My wife spent about 10 minutes browsing the showroom during one visit and we still were not approached. We ultimately left both times without speaking to anyone. We understand that some showrooms operate by appointment, and if that is the standard protocol, that is perfectly fine. However, a quick greeting, asking whether we had an appointment, or offering to schedule one would have created a very different experience. We did not have this issue at Golden State Lumber or Ashby Lumber, where we were promptly acknowledged and assisted. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will be moving forward elsewhere.

Well my 95 pound German shepherd crashed through one screen once but that is not Phantom Screen's fault. So today I added 2 more. I got so tired of one traditional screen door that had to be repaired frequently which involved borrowing a truck and dropping it off several miles away. Then borrowing the truck again to pick it up. Finally I realized I had two doors that could use a Phantom Screen and Screens of Northern California was still at the same address so I sent out an e mail. And everything moved quickly. The design is different but the company's responsiveness and quality of work remains stellar. I will miss the push/pull to release the magnets of the original screen door. It is a pretty effective bad guy deterrent at the door to my garage along with another big German Shepherd sleeping at the inside enjoying the breeze! But the new doors' release is welcome at the new locations. And the installer threw in a can of silicone spray. I'd say the only drawback is the screen door seems to be a magnet for dog hair. JK. We replaced 28 windows and one slider with Gary and his team over 18 months. Windows look GREAT, They have help insulate our house where we rarely turn on the AC in Danville- where the temps get 90+ degrees. HUGE improvement over our original 25 yr. old windows! Gary's team was spectacular with proactive communications, delivery dates as committed, and five separate installations very well coordinated and completed on time. I would gladly with full confidence recommend Windows and Beyond to anyone needing to update their home and make it more energy efficient--cost a bit of $$, yet it is a no brainer investment for many years to come. We expected a 2 day job and it took 1.5 days. Communication is excellent. Gary returns my calls or emails promptly. Kay, who manages the office is extremely helpful. She went out of her way to answer my questions, research my questions and managds all of the activities involved in our installation. She promptly kept me in the loop at all times. They did a phenomenal job. I had to do 2 bedroom windows, 1 really large window in the hall and a sliding door updated by them. They took all the measurements before hand and completed the job in 1 day. After completion they cleaned the whole place out. If the windows were not installed properly then glue will not correct the problem and now the glue has separated too. We have left voicemails and emails, no response. We were told by Milgard Technicians that the windows were not installed properly, go back to the company that installed them which is CWD! Now the rains will come and there will be water entering our home, bugs, dry rot, termites, the problems are endless the remedy seems outside of CWD to correct. They have to be redone properly. Why is the company not standing behind their work? We have been trying to resolve this situation for many years, so I was forced to review them with 1 star.

For something this big I would have loved to have given this project to a local P-Town crew but the Bay Area Window guys made it a point to work with me & came out to meet with my contractor at least 3-4 times during our project. Needless to say everything fit, everything looked awesome & as remodel projects go, these guys were one of the few contractors that got their shit right the first time, didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need & delivered what they promised for really no more than even the big box/orange "despot" people's sales & installation folks quoted me.

The owner of this establishment denied any responsibility and had the nerve to verbally abuse me by stating.. "you really didn't spend that much $ on these doors.." and " you didn't buy these doors, your ex-husband did" and " you obviously don't know how to do business/what kind of business woman are you? ".. .. I hope everyone reads this post and spread the word that this kind of behavior is just not acceptable.

The company did the classic thing of taking twice as long and costing twice as much as quoted but when they were done, the work was terrible too! The walls began cracking almost immediately and we had to have other contractors in to fix all the errors they made. Their people smoked on the job site (so, in our home) and whenever we would try and talk with company representatives, they would try and gaslight us into believing it was somehow our fault.
