I have to start with how nice and helpful the staff was when we went for dinner, especially Hannah our server. We where in the mood for a good cut of red meat, steak of some sort. We knew that Windmill Grill has great food so it was a no brainier, we all had the Ribeye with the add on's of onion & mushrooms and a Loaded Bake Potato. OMG it was soooo good, cooked just right nice and juicy with great flavor. My sister and I split the Ribeye dinner(small eaters) and to our surprise it came split on 2 plates, we ate till we were full and had a small bit to take home. My Brother in law was very happy with a Ribeye and shrimp, potato of his own and was full with just enough room for dessert. For dessert we had the Skyscraper Cheese Cake. I must say I have eaten my fare share of cheese cake, my husband really likes Cheese Cake Factory, but this Cheese Cake is the BEST I've had. It had the best flavor and the smoothest texture I ever had. My sister and I went to culinary school and have a catering business so we can really pick a restaurant and food apart so needless to say we had a long conversation about the food with Nothing but Good things to say. Five stars is not enough! Catering services used for our daughters wedding reception. If you know you know, communication is so important in wedding planning. They were the best from the initial contact to the tasting to the big night. Came the day before to plan the service. Arrived when they said and got to work. Guests were able to sit down to their salad and the service began. Very quick and concise. The food was phenomenal, beef that fell apart on your fork, chicken with great flavor and moist. Green beans and potatoes to die for. Clean up was quick and very unnoticeable. Would recommend and tell everyone we know! read more

I cant say that I am thrilled about the portion sizes but the flavor was there and the prices arent bad, I only went through the drive through so I cant speak to the service or ambiance inside the actual establishment. My husband and I were at this restaurant tonight. I was appalled that almost none of their workers were wearing masks. I also observed that most of their customers were over 60 years old except for a table of 4 policemen. Social distance was not totally observed. This virus doesn't always manifest itself right away for a fever {as you tested as people entered}. You can carry that virus and develop symptoms anywhere up to 14 days from what I understand. This establishment is endangering the lives of all that enter and exit. We have been to Half Moon, Martinos, Red Lobster, Applebys in Kokomo all of whom had masks on from the hostess desk to the kitchen. Eat there at your own risk. read more

I've been going since they opened and the service is really lacking these days. Never order anything to-go because it will inevitably be wrong. I tipped a girl today thinking she made my food correctly only to find the things I didn't want were hidden under everything else. This is the second day in a row this has happened. Subpar food and subpar service, in my opinion. Of the people I dined with, 3 out of 4 had an issue with their food. For me, I ordered my steak medium and it came back very well done. Someone else's sandwich was missing a key ingredient. Another's dish was incomplete. Our server disappeared when we needed her most, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded and our waitress didn't appear overworked. I had to wait 15 minutes for a refill when I was on just ice. We wanted to find a new place in Kokomo to eat at while on our way to a show. The Windmill Grill sounded like a good option, and we are glad we stopped in. We had four adults and two kids on this trip, and everyone ended up happy. There were a few mistakes made along the way (my meal didn't even get prepared yet when all the others came out), but the server was excellent, and she had the flexibility to make things right. They have an expansive menu, and the prices are reasonable. They also were more than accommodating in helping with my mom's allergy issues. We will definitely be back. read more

I went here with my boyfriend one night in an effort to get out of the norm, and try something different. It was extremely disappointing. The only good thing about the experience was our waitress who was very kind and attentive. It took us a while to get our drinks because apparently the bartender didn't know how to make mine (it was quite simple...only consisted of a couple different liquors and cranberry juice) and by the time we got them, my boyfriends beer had been sitting so long that the glass wasn't even full anymore. The portions didn't match the prices (which were quite high), and the food was less than tasty. I went for a fairly cheap item (a club sandwich for about $8) and it was one of the most pathetic sandwiches I've seen in my entire life. There was barely any meat on it, the bacon looked raw, and I couldn't eat more than 1/4 of it before I had to stop. The meat was rubbery and just overall unsatisfactory. I could have gotten a much better sandwich for cheaper at a deli. My boyfriend was not happy with his food either. We both barely touched it, and took it home in a box for the dogs. Don't waste your time or money here. The service was warm and welcoming, but obviously doesn't make up for the poor food quality. read more

I have been here a total of three times and have to say, it was pretty decent each time. Decent service all except for one time, where I got the impression he was rushing us (it was only 2pm and the restaurant was really slow, so it didn't make sense). Food has been right and delicious every time except for a family member getting the wrong sauce on a dish, and at a separate time, I asked for no mushrooms (waitress repeated it back to me) and when I received my plate, giant mushrooms were scattered all over it. I just picked them off since I wasn't allergic, but that should be something they need to be careful about in the future. Unfortunately, this place is pretty expensive. Especially for what you receive. I saw a previous review compared them to Olive Garden prices, and I'd have to agree. This isn't a place I'd come back to often. This place used to be very good. Overtime they have consistently gotten sloppier with their service and overall experience. Today for instance, we went to lunch after church and a group of us ordered. Service was slow to start with and our waitress was rather erratic and spilled coffee on tables and menus and hit 2 of us with her tray (not malicious just carelessly). Then it came to the food. Someone's burger was under cooked. He took a bite, noticed it was undercooked and asked for a better cooked burger. The burger that was returned to him was the original burger (bite out of it) and was told they threw it on the grill and cooked it some more. This is a major health violation. Management did not seem to find this an issue when informed of this. They also charged this guy for his bacon for the burger that was taken away and not returned. They weren't shy about offering free dessert, but that was not the point at all. We've eaten here for many years, but consistently having issues (there's been more than today specifically) will cause us to explore other options when dining out. A lot of the other food the group ate was good but definitely stay away from the burgers and be cautious that some health procedures may not be followed properly. read more
