A windshield ding turned into a 12" crack overnight. I hit Yelp, and found Wind-Tech/Windshields to Go. Roger (the owner) was responsive. We traded texts, he looked at my photos, and he ordered my glass. We met the next day. He came to me, which was super convenient. But most of all, he was a total pro. I think he said he's been doing this work for 30 years. It shows. My BMW was tricky with all the sensors and whatnot that's connected to the windshield. Roger took 2+ hrs to get everything done. Writing this pretty late from my service with Bob, but better late than never! Flew out of town during freezing temps with my car outside at a park-n-fly. Came back and watched my windshield massively crack before my eyes as I drove so knew I already had some small cracks and the inevitable arrived. Did some researching online and saw some good reviews with Wind-Tech, so went for it. I think I remember initially doing messaging here on yelp directly with Bob before moving over to texting. He was very responsive. If I remember correctly, we did have to reschedule once due to the rain on his request- Bob's service is mobile and at that time I did not have roof cover for him. Made sense that install is no good in the rain. I was working remotely at the time of install which makes Bob's mobile service just perfect for the busy home bee. Anyways, Bob came on time and was CRAZY quick and good. He was professional, kind, and straight-forward. He even was able to transfer stickers and my Good-to-Go pass from old to new glass! Everything in my car looked exactly how it was, with the addition of a new windshield, of course! If I remember correctly, he said it would take up to two hours but he finished essentially in one hour. Flexible mobile payment . I had a crack in my windshield and didn't have a lot of time in the week to drive somewhere to get it fixed. I saw the great reviews here and contacted Bob, as well as a few other shops - Bob was the first to respond and came in lower than other quotes. He was able to get a technician out my house to repair the windshield about two days later. I have a Subaru Crosstrek with Eyesight and Bob noted that and said they'd try to align as much as possible to ensure the Blind Spot Detection worked as expected, but that I might need to get it slightly recalibrated - I appreciated the extra caution / thoughtfulness. You guys I was freaking out! I found a HUGE hold in my window from a semi that hit me! I didn't see it at first and then the sun came out one day in seattle and there it was! Wasted my time here. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance, was told I would get a call the day before to remind me of appointment and I never got a call. I texted to make sure my car was still being fixed at the time made, then got a phone call saying the installer's in the hospital with his Mom- completely understandable; however he never got back to me on any rescheduling or letting me know if the installer was still out. When I texted the day of my appointment-assuming the installer was still out at the hospital, Bob claimed he didn't have an appointment for me today, never brought up the installer being out, then proceeded to try saying the appointment was for next week? He may be too old to keep working - dementia or something.
