I went to Winchell's Coffee House today and it was my first time ordering at this establishment. The establishment and dining area were very clean. I ordered one single Maple Cruller. Joanna, the employee at the front counter was very helpful and patient with me as I looked over the many options they offer. I went in in the afternoon so the donuts were still fresh from the morning and it wasn't busy at all. They also offer food delivery through Door Dash, Uber Eats and Postmates as well. I would recommend this establishment for people in the area looking for a coffee house to meet up at, or a place to relax. Keep in mind, currently the restrooms are not open to the public due to Maintenance. read more

I am a regular here with my toddler to grab some donuts . I have never had a bad experience with the people here but today I experienced the worst customer service in my life. I came in and said good morning , girl at the front said nothing, whole transaction was rude . She was making my sandwich and saw she left the station and with the same gloves started touching and assisting others . I asked her if she changed her gloves she said no. I asked her to remake it or have someone else since she obviously was not in the mood. She brought someone else from the back and waited until it was done and slammed the bag on the counter . I told her she has to work on her people skills because other people were coming in and she was just as rude to them. She needs to pick a battle in life . I suggest if she wants to do more with life than making bagels or flipping donuts , she needs to redirect that negative energy & she should work on her attitude and her poor people skills. read more

Ambience is very casual but people do sit inside and eat. There's also concrete tables/chairs outside. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty. I love their turkey croissant sandwich. I don't drink coffee anymore but I have had their iced coffee in the past and man it's potent lol The people that work there are super nice. I'm not sure, but it could be a family owned establishment as the workers appear to get along with each other and work really well when there's a morning rush/lunch rush. I am a fan of Winchell's, but never been to this location. Service was fine and simple. The donuts were so bad. I got a chocolate old fashioned and it was at least 1 to 2 days old. I went in for the first time here on Friday December 29, 2023 around 630-7pm and purchased a dozen, this morning I'm eating a maple bar, I ate about 1/3 and noticed that something stringy was lingering once I had already bitten into my donut, I looked at the donut and its RAW, I'm now questioning the other 5 chocolate/maple bars in my box still. This was my first time to this location. Was kind of nice to see one closer to our home. The worst Winchells I've been to. The donuts are very stale and why so stingy with the glaze. We asked when they were made and they said 2pm that day. It was 730 pm. There is no way. Maybe they meant 2pm the previous day. Or two days before. Kinda gross actually. Black Forest ham extreme melt Add avocado (charged and missing) Add tomatoes On jalapeño bagel (given a plain bagel) with pepper Jack cheese (Swiss cheese??) Sausage sandwich on jalapeño and was given a plain bagel. Only thing that was correct was the iced coffee. Really good quality donuts (but also pricey -- you get what you pay for), but employees had horrible customer service. Me and my sister were the only ones that were in the store, and we're not greeted at all when we walked in. One of the employees, Carolina, barely spoke to us and every time we asked her a question (it was our first time there), she would say "I can't hear you" in a rude manner. Also, the workers threw away donuts into the trash can (that we wanted) right in front of us and didn't say anything when we had a confused looked on our face. It was later at night and this place is open 24/7, but I have never received such horrible customer service. Winchell's New "Home-Style" Campaign... Takes Handmade to the Next Level I ordered a pineapple shaved ice drink. A older Hispanic lady behind the counter got to work on it. It took about 10 minutes. She scooped the pineapple into the cup, followed by some shaved ice to start the first layer. Then she placed her (bare hand) over the top of the cup and shook it up and down... Wonderful! Then she repeated the process another two times... each time skillfully using her hands to insert that homemade authentic flavor. This restaurant is really taking handmade to the next level. I don't know this lady personally, but if she says her hands are clean, that's good enough for me. I have been going to the Perris location since they open, they don't make the apple filters the same they always taste different. Tonight they were hard around the edges and dry in side tasted almost burnt. The dinner area was filthy. I love this donut place usually come here for kid drop off with my sister. They have a sign posted "mask required" that's it. So when we went in I did not have mine but my kids did but we were not close at all . Eileen asked me if I had my mask. I responded by letting her know my sister was getting it for me. She refused to help me until I had my mask. I understand the mandate but the kids had there masks on they could have ordered there donuts and paid but she just walked away. If business are going to refuse service due to customers not wearing a mask then it should be posted just like a no shoes no service sign. She could have at least told me I'm sorry mam I can't help you until you have one on. Customer service is all about communication. My sister returned with my mask and another employee helped me.
