I was afraid for them when the Walmart shopping center was built across the street, but they are still here years after that place with all its restaurants opened up. you can't beat decades of quality sandwiches done right. First off the service was attentive and very flexible in terms of adding extra veggies and other condiments to your sandwich. Prices have gone up a bit but so has everything else every where else. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I purchased a large meatball marinara sandwich and a bag of Cheetos and took it to go. It was an older Asian lady who assisted me. When I got home I seen they separated my sandwich with foil into two pieces. When I ate the first half there was nothing wrong with my sandwich. However, when I opened my second half of the sandwich there was a huge piece of hair that was very noticeable. I was disgusted. Had I opened that second half of my sandwich first and saw that I would have never ate my sandwich. Im not sure how you could miss such a thick and long piece of hair when making the sandwich? It was laid right on top of my sandwich making it extremely obvious. I returned the other half with hair that I didn't eat and explained the situation to her respectfully. She immediately gave me attitude and said, "why didn't you bring that sandwich back?!" I told her I did and placed it on the counter top and she grabbed it in such an aggressive manner and said "oh my gosh" saw the hair and threw it in the trash aggressively. She looked at me and asked me if I wanted a new sandwich and I told her I wanted a refund. She kept speaking to me with an attitude and said "MONEY?!" I said yes I would like a refund please. She nodded her head and opened the cashier. When she refunded me the money I counted and saw she only gave me a refund for half of the sandwich that I didn't eat, but she didn't explain that to me. When I asked her if that is what she was doing she gave me even more attitude. She told me the other half of my sandwich was good. I didn't want to deal with her attitude anymore.I told her she lost a customer and I would never return. She yelled at me and said "YA GOOD!" Not once did she apologize to me. She didn't try to make things right with me instead came off extremely hostile and aggressive by giving me attitude. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I did not want to argue with her and go back and forth. I simply wanted my refund and to immediately leave. I would NEVER recommend Jeff's Place to anyone. read more

Great food, great bread. Fountain drinks seem to have a lack of syrup water ratio and it has a sewer water taste. Also there is not much meat on the sandwich and I ordered double meat on one and was disappointed. The cold sandwich needed salt and pepper but it's up to me to ask that. I was a little concerned at first. To say the inside of this shop needs a makeover is an understatement. The decor, menu board, etc are so old inside I thought a brontosaurus and cheddar sandwich might be on the menu. As usual, I was dressed like Indiana Jones , so I was ready to discover something ancient but delicious. I went with the Jeff's Special, which is basically turkey, avocado and Swiss on squaw bread. I opted out of the usual sprouts it's served with because E Coli is one of my least favorite flavors. The other toppings were super fresh and they piled them on. There was so much avocado mash I actually had to scrape some off. This is coming from someone who loves avocado so much I killed someone over one. Just kidding, I was acquitted. The squaw bread was tasty, but a bit thin to support all of the insides. Definitely a nice sandwich over all. You'll pay a little less than you would at some of the major sandwich chains and get something far superior. I actually think that they almost overdid it. It's a big bite. Being able to unhook my jaw like a boa constrictor would have been helpful. Final verdict: pretty solid flavors, big portions, good value. Give them a try. read more

Came here for lunch and got Cold Cut large, the bread was soft and tastes really good, I got everything on it too, perfect cold sandwich, it was exactly what I was looking for. I also got a pastrami, meat was super tasty, and the simple ingredients like mustard and a pickle was perfect, only thing is there wasn't a ton of pastrami the way I'm used to, but the sandwich was still super tasty. This might be the best Italian sandwich I've ever had. The bread is out-of-this-world soft and fresh! Comes with everything you need including mayo, mustard, and banana peppers - just wish they had thinly sliced fresh onion to go with it. I had never had the urge to try this place, so it wasn't until this past month that I was persuaded to have one of the freshest and tastiest sandwiches I've have since I could remember! The sandwiches are the perfect size. They're large enough to take on your appetite, but not so large as to be intimidating - you know, the type of sandwich that makes you wonder how you'll unhinge your jaw just to be able to take a bite. Yeah, this isn't that. It's perfect. Know what else is perfect? Their bread! They have different kinds of bread. I had white and my friend had squaw (in a hole in the wall place!). Both breads were fresh. Not sure if they bake in house, but I wouldn't be surprised because this is some quality bread! Lastly, let me emphasize that this is a hole in the wall place. The best sandwich place in Perris? Yes! Jeff's is located in a partially unoccupied shopping center, and parking is always available. The interior is dated, small, and the tables are tight. Its tough for four grown people to sit together at the tables. The restroom requires an employee issued key. It's not the interior or tight seating that I go there for; its the delicious sandwiches. I typically go with the Little Italy, which is Jeff's version of a classic Italian. The sandwiches come in two sizes, but go big for a few more dollars. The Little Italy is packed with the classic meats. They go a little heavy on the peppercinis for me, so I ask them to go light. My coworkers have had the Philly cheesesteak and meatball sandwiches, which they enjoyed. The tuna sandwich looked very good as well.
