Updated menu with updated prices as of 6/2025

First off the service was attentive and very flexible in terms of adding extra veggies and other condiments to your sandwich. Prices have gone up a bit but so has everything else every where else. The sandwich was pretty bomb! Got the tuna salad sandwich and it definitely gets the job done and weirdly felt nostalgic to eat haha. Looking forward to coming back and trying their teriyaki chicken plate as well as other sandwiches when I'm back in the area!

Hair

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I purchased a large meatball marinara sandwich and a bag of Cheetos and took it to go. It was an older Asian lady who assisted me. When I got home I seen they separated my sandwich with foil into two pieces. When I ate the first half there was nothing wrong with my sandwich. However, when I opened my second half of the sandwich there was a huge piece of hair that was very noticeable. I was disgusted. Had I opened that second half of my sandwich first and saw that I would have never ate my sandwich. Im not sure how you could miss such a thick and long piece of hair when making the sandwich? It was laid right on top of my sandwich making it extremely obvious. I returned the other half with hair that I didn't eat and explained the situation to her respectfully. She immediately gave me attitude and said, "why didn't you bring that sandwich back?!" I told her I did and placed it on the counter top and she grabbed it in such an aggressive manner and said "oh my gosh" saw the hair and threw it in the trash aggressively. She looked at me and asked me if I wanted a new sandwich and I told her I wanted a refund. She kept speaking to me with an attitude and said "MONEY?!" I said yes I would like a refund please. She nodded her head and opened the cashier. When she refunded me the money I counted and saw she only gave me a refund for half of the sandwich that I didn't eat, but she didn't explain that to me. When I asked her if that is what she was doing she gave me even more attitude. She told me the other half of my sandwich was good. I didn't want to deal with her attitude anymore.I told her she lost a customer and I would never return. She yelled at me and said "YA GOOD!" Not once did she apologize to me. She didn't try to make things right with me instead came off extremely hostile and aggressive by giving me attitude. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I did not want to argue with her and go back and forth. I simply wanted my refund and to immediately leave. I would NEVER recommend Jeff's Place to anyone.

The Jeff's Special: turkey , Swiss and avocado on squaw bread. Huge and fresh.

I was a little concerned at first. To say the inside of this shop needs a makeover is an understatement. The decor, menu board, etc are so old inside I thought a brontosaurus and cheddar sandwich might be on the menu. As usual, I was dressed like Indiana Jones , so I was ready to discover something ancient but delicious. I went with the Jeff's Special, which is basically turkey, avocado and Swiss on squaw bread. I opted out of the usual sprouts it's served with because E Coli is one of my least favorite flavors. The other toppings were super fresh and they piled them on. There was so much avocado mash I actually had to scrape some off. This is coming from someone who loves avocado so much I killed someone over one. Just kidding, I was acquitted. The squaw bread was tasty, but a bit thin to support all of the insides. Definitely a nice sandwich over all. You'll pay a little less than you would at some of the major sandwich chains and get something far superior. I actually think that they almost overdid it. It's a big bite. Being able to unhook my jaw like a boa constrictor would have been helpful. Final verdict: pretty solid flavors, big portions, good value. Give them a try.

They barely put any lettuce. I also asked for mayonnaise, mustard and pickles on all of my subs and none of my subs had any of the following ingredients. Not only that, the bread was super dry and crispy. When I called to make a complaint they said they can only offer me a discount going forward and then the woman on the phone told me that the bread had just come out of the oven and then laughed and hung up on me and I called the store four times following that phone call with no answer. So I called from a block number and got an answer right away and argued with a gentleman for about 20 minutes about the quality of their subs and their customer service they refused to give me a refund, told me that it was not possible. They told me that they tried their best on the quality of the subs and the man also informed me that the bread was not in fact just out of the oven and that they try their best These subs were the driest subs I've ever had and I wouldn't have spent $90 on sandwiches if I had known that they would have come in way below satisfactory I'm definitely not happy with my purchase. I'm not happy with the customer service. I'm not happy with the store in general When asking to speak to a manager or to have contact with a manager they told me that was not an option. When I asked for corporates, phone number or email they told me that also it was not an option. They refused to help me escalate my issue to get a solution that we were both happy with and from here on out I refuse to support this establishment with the way that they have treated me tonight and the quality of food that showed up at my door.

You're gonna love them. I know being here in California. There's not a lot to match it but you still got high expectations going in. Service was great on the counter very polite when they remembered my order very basic food you can make it home very easy. I could not tell any way possible that they were homemade bagels. I know when I make a homemade no too really like alike. These guys were definitely cookie cutters place was clean. The place was busy. I guess there was three people in there at the time of the order, so I guess that's why it took so long equipment could be much better than the young people behind the counter could really produce. I don't know that I'll never go back. I think I'll stick the Dunkin' Donuts. It's cookie cutter as well but the flavor is a little better.

They didnt have to do that and I really appreciated it. Thanks !!

It's got that unexpected mix of everyday pit stop and hidden gem energy that somehow just works. And the service? Just as impressive. Friendly and welcoming--exactly what you hope for when you stop in, but rarely get. They made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. If you're passing by, don't underestimate this spot. It's an up-and-coming sandwich shop, and for good reason: handmade loaded sandwiches for $7.99 is an absolute steal in today's economy. There's only one worker so it can take a while if there are people waiting in line, but the wait is definitely worth it. Both the Simply Italian, GRB w/ AVO sandwiches are 5/5; the sandwiches are made-to-order with freshly cut ciabatta bread, thinly sliced meat, and veggies. Their quesadilla was also amazing too, and much bigger than what you would get from Taco Bell. Overall Bocadillo Kitchen was fantastic and it deserves the traction its getting from social media. I hope to visit again soon in the future.
