Beautiful venue that would make a great space for hosting an event - company outing to play duckpin bowling, baby shower, even a small wedding They have a nice selection of $3 drink specials going on right now. Bells two hearted ale for $3?!!??!! In this economy?!??!! It should be mandatory to have happy hours here Sadly the food was not amazing. The first course out the door was the shrimp and grits eggrolls which came with a tasty dipping sauce. Fried anything is good Next up were the gator sliders which were fine. The gator sausage casings had a nice snap to them Cobb salad looked pathetic and did not come with any egg. Adding egg to this dish wouldn't have saved it. Everything seemed so lazily chopped and throw together. Chicken was obviously cooked ahead of time and left under a heat lamp - it was hard like a crouton Shrimp po boy had 5 shrimp in it. Magically had zero flavoring and they used the flattest/most rubbery lettuce in the world. The the fries were good though Our server was nice and made sure we were well taken care of I'd come back for a drink but there are better places to go for Cajun food or even just a po boy

We visited Wilma's today and had a great time. Wilma's is a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley (more details on that later, because it's limited bowling). (We lived in Nashville for a years, and Wilma's is quite a bit like Pinewood Social.) We didn't eat, so I can't speak to the food, but we did have drinks. But we were there to bowl. So what do you need to know? Wilma's has four lanes. And they're short length and duckpin bowling. (If you're unfamiliar with duckpin bowling, definitely google it, but a quick description: smaller pins, heavier pins, balls you hold in your palm, popular in a few states on the East Coast.) We reserved our lane online in advance, which I recommend, especially given they only have four lanes. When we arrived in the late afternoon a Saturday, we were the only lane in use, but then for a while, all four lanes were in use. We bowled for an hour and a half, but most parties bowled for just an hour. Their menu is varied: wine, beer, NA cocktails, cocktails. Between my husband and me, we tried a few cocktails and a glass of wine. They serve you at the lane, so you don't have to go to the bar for a drink during your bowling. And the service was great. Overall, just a cool spot: fun drinks, great vibes, and duckpin bowling? A great way to spend a few hours!

We had a very good experience, with the food side of Wilma's as we stopped in for an early southern dinner before hitting the DE Art Museum. It would be a 5, but the rice in our gumbo dish was undercooked, and per our conversation with our server, this seems to be a more regular issue than it should be. Use a timer to cook the rice. Otherwise, our meals were memorable and enjoyable. We came in around 3:30 for a late lunch/early dinner and ordered the Gumbo and shrimp and grits dishes with a side of cornbread. These are very traditional and I'd expect, the most requested dishes. Great plating presentations. very tasty and filling as we shared both dishes. Funny how restaurant staff sometimes freeze up when we tell them to pace our dishes as we share each dish. You'd think the server would be forward-thinking and bring small plates and ask the kitchen to pace the dishes. In this scenario, both dishes came out together and we had to ask for the small plates. Our server, Jasime, was polite, engaging and helpful. We'll come back again as we love the food group and hopefully, next time will be a 5-star review. See my food pics, don't blame me if you drool on your phones.

The best shrimp and grits in the North!!!!!! I lived in Charleston for 4 years, and this reminds me of the South.

Im staying in Delaware for the weekend and I chose Wilmas due to the unique menu. I ate the alligator sliders, Cajun nachos, and the steak mac n cheese. Everything was very tasty and very well cooked. The bartender Chanel made an excellent espresso martini and was very attentive. The ambiance was great for a Thursday night.

The high ceilings are everything! Started off with some water and THE SOUTHERN DRAWL to drink. For appies we did the GUMBO w/ grits instead of rice, 10/10 amazing! So delicious, kinda mad we shared it :) My entree was the JAIL ISLAND SALMON.. my first time having couscous and I loved every bit of it. Full of flavor and entree was nice and hot coming out. I ordered BEIGNETS to go and ugh, chefs kiss. Sorry I devoured them before getting one single picture. Now I need to get back there for the bananas foster! Last but certainly not least, our server was prompt and definitely gave the best recommendations for the menu, thanks Girlie!

A really big space with quick and friendly service. The food was good. The menu really just wasn't for me but that's okay!

This restaurant was in walking distance from my hotel so my co workers and I tried it twice. Now our first visit, we were seated quickly but it took some time to finally have our drink orders taken. We had enough time to decide what we wanted before we were finally approached. The restaurant was busy and when we did finally get a server Dee. She was absolutely wonderful and a great server. She recommended different items and I have to say the Shrimp Tortellini and house's fresh garlic bread were delicious. It's also the reason I had to go back. So I went back to try the lobster Tuesday special. This time our server was Sara. She was awesome and very friendly as well. But it still took about an hr for us to get our food. But when it did finally come out the food was great. I am not sure the cooks in this place could go wrong. I had the fresh raw oysters and stuffed lobster. It was something out of this world. The restaurant is really nice and has plenty of seating and a full bar. They also have a great patio to enjoy along the water. If you are not in a rush and want some great food. Please stop in and get everything.

I even had to ask a busser to find our waitress. She apologized and mentioned she had a big party, but the issue wasn't just the check--it was the entire length and pace of the experience. The staff seemed nice, but the operation felt very disorganized, and the food itself wasn't particularly memorable. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back

Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area.

It took about an hour for us to get our entrees. Thankfully we were in good company. And our party enjoyed their cocktails. We started with the brussels and cauliflower. This was beyond delicious. You have to order this as a starter. They had a quail special and monkfish special the evening we were there. The birthday girl ordered the quail. It took about an hour to arrive and came undercooked. Thankfully they were kind about cooking it more. I think she enjoyed it once she got to eat. Her husband got the pork chops. I shared the monkfish with a friend and really enjoyed it. We also got the seared tuna for the table and that was good too. Our waitress was super kind especially with the food hiccups. They have one gender neutral restroom stall. It has the prettiest wallpaper. We were stuffed by the time the dessert menus came out. Thankfully they still gave us a mini scoop of ice cream for the birthday girl with a sparkler. It was lots of fun. I think wait times were long for the specials and if we stuck to the regular menu things would've arrived faster. I'd go back to try more yummy food.

A few months ago I thought I'd found a decent place that was safe. As I entered I smelled a musty odor. I pushed past that and decided to give it a try anyway. I met Brian first and he was professionally courteous each time I was in contact with him. I met the owner Brian next. He was pretty much the same demeanor. There's a few other staff people there. I met Paige somewhere in between. On the date of December 02, 2025, I walked in and ordered my food. When it came time to settle the bill, Paige informed me that I was$ 2.00 short. I was embarrassed because I explained that I didn't have anything else in my account. She explained needing to pay her bills and making ends meet.I apologized profusely. A friend who was sitting next to me gave me a $20.00 bill to help me pay. He handed her the money. Paige waved him off. She was we needed to have a conversation about not paying and not tipping. She said her piece; I listened quietly.I couldn't believe that she was saying this in open proximity with other people in earshot. She also accused me of lying when I said I didn't have any more money left in my account. He then handed the money to me. I asked her for change she continued to say it's fine never mind. I still tried tipping her and she refused. I left determined not to repeat this again. I went back yesterday with cash so I could pay the bill and tip her adequately. The owners mother was visiting to pick up gift cards for her family. Paige came over at the end of the conversation and took my order. She delivered my food without incident. As I was going to pay, she says she's refusing me service for my failure to tip. I was shocked. I don't understand how a $2.00 issue became so inflated. I tried paying that bill and tipping her. She again refused the tip telling me to keep it. We never had any issues with me being rude to her. I just got up and left. I won't be returning for anything. I'm not loud. I try to be respectful of everyone. I really didn't appreciate her behavior. I feel the general public should know how she disrespects folks. They do not include tips in their pricing.
