One of the best items is the Chicken and Waffles Benedict ($19). It worked extremely well together with the sweetness of the Belgian waffle and the savory notes of the chicken. It included small containers of maple syrup. The hashbrowns were the best! They really killed it with the super crispy outside. Loved it! However, DH liked the Savory Crêpe ($15) even more! This one just had such a great flavor combination: the little bits of chicken, mushrooms, and classic Provence seasoning. The avocado toast ($8.50) with an over-easy egg ($3) was amazing. It features a multigrain bread and just had some great toasty flavors and topped with a little bit of micro greens. Everything worked so well together. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich ($9.25) is a rectangular shaped one. There is an omelette "patty", tomato, and bacon on the inside. This one was also surprisingly good, even when deconstructed and reheated the next day. The kids really enjoyed sharing a sweet crêpe ($14) with four toppings: strawberry, banana, chocolate, and real whipped cream. We tried a cappuccino ($5.25) and a soy latte ($5.25 + $1 for milk substitution). They were really good, not bitter, but I wish it was a little bit more concentrated. Maybe I'll try oatmilk next time. All of the pastries were amazing. We got a bunch to share and enjoy throughout our vacation. We tried two scones ($3.85 each), blueberry and raspberry pecan. The scones were nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. Wow! We froze these for eating the next day and slowly thawed them in the oven and they were still wonderful. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie ($2.95) had a rich buttery taste. The texture is right in the middle and it's pretty large. Holiday Christmas tree cookie ($4.50) is a delicious buttery sugar cookie with a multitude of sprinkles. This one is not very big, but you can tell it required a lot of work to make it. Get more than one! The Chocolatine ($4.75) was a favorite. So flaky and it has a good amount of chocolate in the middle. Cheese Danish ($4.75) and All Day Bun ($3.75) are saved for later so we haven't tried them yet. Overall, an amazing place for a high-quality breakfast. We will be back!

Not to mention the side potato pancake, a meal in itself! And the pancakes? Big, pillowy, melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. For my main meal, I went with a veggie omelet and added hot links. I initially thought adding the hot links might be a bit too much, but it turned out to be the perfect combination! Next time, I'll just make a mental note to ask for no mushrooms, and the tomatoes were a bit heavy for my preference, but overall it was delicious. I also grabbed a side of bacon, which was cooked just right. Now for the highlight of the meal: the omelet usually comes with a side of toast, and I was torn between that and their famous coffee cake. I originally ordered the toast, but as soon as our server stepped away, I had a change of heart and asked to swap it for the coffee cake. I am so glad I did! It came out with an amazing warm crust, wonderful texture, and delicious frosting. If you aren't a big fan of heavy sweets, the frosting might be a little rich, but for a treat, it was incredible! Tips: When you pull up and park, keep in mind that the main entrance isn't right where you park--it's actually located on the other side near the street light corner. If you're debating between toast or the coffee cake, go for the coffee cake! You can always ask for the frosting on the side if you prefer it a bit less sweet. it's saturday night. we don't have a reservation. they tell us the wait is over an hour. what do we…read moredo? we wait. and thank jebus we did, because this ended up being one of the best meals i've had in a while. we started with the prawn. we each got one, and given that they're $10 a skewer, our bill started off STRONG. the prawns were perfectly roasted with hints of mezcal and prickly pear. the candied habanero or whatever garnish of death was on there totally kicked my ass in terms of spice. in true Asian fashion, we ripped the heads off and sucked all the goodness out of them too. no shame. you don't waste the good stuff. then the cornbread showed up. the group collectively agreed we'd pass on this one next time. for me, the goat cheese threw me off, but that's entirely on me because i hate goat cheese and still knowingly ordered something with goat cheese. i played myself. there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dish, but compared to everything else we ate, there wasn't anything particularly standout about it either. but then. the fucking broccoli showed up. it is literally charred broccoli with chermoula, lime, and peanut. that's it. BROCCOLI. and after taking one bite, i learned that broccoli could, in fact, be life changing. suddenly i was a new woman. a woman who wanted nothing more than to sit there and stuff her face with massive amounts of broccoli. unfortunately, i couldn't because we still had dishes to taste. and so i moved on to the pork belly. when people describe something as "melting in your mouth," they are specifically referring to Campfire's pork belly. because that's exactly what it did. just melted all up in my mouth and lit my taste buds on fire. normally, i find pork belly prepared this way a little heavy and can only stomach a few bites, but i could have eaten the entire dish. but of course i didn't, because i'm a lady. and the octopus was about to show up. and show up it DID. i don't like celery, and this dish had plenty of it, but because it was shaved super thin, it was actually super palatable. the octopus was incredibly tender, and there were little bits of chorizo throughout that gave it the perfect balance. also, love me a good chimichurri sauce. and finally, last but truly not least, the chicken. a whole ass half bird, charred to perfection with roasted red pepper, kumquat, and fennel. apparently i like fennel now??? i didn't even know i liked fennel like that, but here we are. if i hadn't already been stuffed to the absolute brim, i could have destroyed this entire dish. the chicken was juicy and tender, and paired with the fennel, you're almost like just having a healthy dish??? LOL. although we went in with every intention of ending the night with s'mores, our bodies simply said no. there was no more room at the inn. see what i did there :P so instead, we left and went on a very long walk to digest all the delicious goodness that was Campfire. i cannot wait to go back. mostly for the broccoli, which is a sentence i never thought i'd write in my life. and this time, i will absolutely be making a reservation.
