We need more places like this!…read more First time stopping by GM's brick and mortar shop vs buying from them at the farmers market, and let me just say, this place is a gem - everything from the store itself to its people! Cinnamon roll - best Ive had out of all the ones I've had in CA and AZ. They do not cut corners and even use brown butter for their cinnamon sugar filling! Cruffins - fun to look at and fun to eat; can't go wrong with any of them! Cookies - white chocolate macadamia nut, chocolate chip, gluten-less chocolate cookies ... now these are cookies! If I had to bet, I'm pretty sure they weigh as much or even more than the famous NY Levain cookies. Strawberry and cream croissant - croissant stuffed with whipped cream and slices of fresh strawberrh; do yourself a favor and just try this! With so many goods to choose from, it may be easy to pass this one up, but don't! It'll give you those napoleon and cream puff vibes.

It's in a strip mall that has a few dining options so this makes it a perfect breakfast and lunchtime treat. They are only open until 2, I believe so make sure you go on the earlier side. I have had a croissant sandwich which was so good and many pastries since that event. My favorite and the one I keep coming back to is the lemon curd cruffin. A croissant muffin combination which is so crispy flakey and delicious. The staff is always nice and answers my questions. Parking is easy. There a few tables outside shared with the Mexican and Japanese restaurants next door.

This time around, it's just the family for Mother's Day. Since I know my food, the table let me order. Fresh hand cut thick long French Fries without a ton of seasoning or oil arrived: one with a cashew cheese truffle sauce, one with no salt, and one salted as requested. My daughter loved her reuben. I loved my blt. The two Caesar salads for the table disappeared quickly because their dressing is unbelievable! Let's see .... what didn't we eat is probably smarter than what did we eat. Beet ketchup, The C Word (braised cabbage), a couple of cronic sushi rolls, and there was a special lemon creme brûlée. Everyone enjoyed everything they ate, including my almost 3 year old grandson (they brought out a specially sliced fruit bowl for him). They offered many choices for kids, but he just wanted fruit. Hope you had as wonderful a Mother's Day as I did. Yes. We appreciated eating healthy and not walking away stuffed but instead satisfied. They were selling plants. So I bought 4 and planted them today! The gift that keeps on giving! We will be back for sure! With garlic, gusto & gratitude, Chef Marian

They have a very unique concept of renewable farming and sustainable gardening. There's plenty of indoor seating (the interior is lovely) and outdoor seating that integrates with the garden. The garden is available for customers to walk around. It's amazing to see how they've efficiently grown so much in a limited space. The Plot also has $5 plants you can purchase for home-gardening. Their eggplants are in season. Freshly harvested from the garden, I tried the panko crusted charcoal roasted eggplant - it was beautiful, delicious, creative and everything wonderful packed into a dish. It was topped with a very unique, naturally salty plant called the asparagus of the sea (I've literally never had it anywhere else besides here). I also tried the c word (which is wine braised cabbage), the beet ruben sandwich, and the mushroom toast. Everything was SO GOOD! The service is also on another level. I felt genuine kindness and happiness exuding from the staff. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right. I was a bit sad to see that it wasn't bustling on a Sunday brunch. This is a must visit in Oceanside!!

It was early enough that we were able to get a seat inside. It's pretty small inside but super cozy, they also have sitting outside so you can enjoy the view. Berry Crunch French Toast, same thing. Our friends ate the Stratford Scramble and it was just 3/5 as well. PRICE - considering the food is nothing special, I wondered why we are paying a higher price for it. Definitely overpriced unless you really care about eating at the harbor, looking at the water through some dirty glass. SERVICE - their current set up is to take your order, take your money, and give you a number. That would fine and dandy except that the girl who was taking orders ALSO had to play bartender. The line seems to be so long and take forever because she'll take your order, then spend 5 minutes making drinks or doing something else before taking the next person's order. Maybe this is their way to handle the traffic because tables are full and maybe they are down staff members. Either way, I was disappointed at the speed/organization. HEALTH CODE VIOLATION - the cherry on top to all of this happened since I had so much time in line to observe. The girl taking orders would take an order, process payment by touching the POS system, then scoop ice into a glass for the drink she was making (this time was a Bloody Mary), handle bottles of alcohol, and FINALLY, touch the bacon and garnishes for the Bloody Mary all without washing her hands. No doubt there have been many hands that have touched all of those things and contaminated them, all for her to touch food at the end without washing her hands. The POS system is also about 10 feet away from the bathroom so all of this adds up to something that seems risky and needs to be fixed.

Love the balance of not too sweet as in it's sweet enough but doesn't overpower the actual flavor of coffee. It does not matter what food you order off their menu, it will be delicious! I've ordered something different each time and always love it. Sometimes I've been a bit skeptical but I've fully learned to trust in their menu. They know what they are doing. I recently had their chicken, pistachio pesto, & burrata sandwich and it was a fantastic combo of flavor. Every bite was delicious and blended perfectly. I also love their salmon eggs benedict, maple fried chicken breakfast sandwich, cornmeal pancakes, mango pancakes, and Tahitian vanilla French toast. As I said earlier you cannot go wrong with any option on their menu. Just a tip, but I do suggest joining the waitlist early because this place gets packed quickly!
