What I loved about their time there was the well rounded curriculum and the people skills they learned as the grew. A healthy mix of age appropriate academics, rigorous play, arts and life lessons was a constant and consist schedule that allowed them to thrive. No matter what kind of day it was, the activities were thoughtful and intentional. And most of the teachers were nice to me. Except this one lady. I don't remember what her name was, but she despised me. One day. I had not gotten that much sleep, because I had just gotten back from a trip from the airport and so I told her I was tired and I couldn't swim because I almost drowned with how tired I was and she was like OK get out and so I eventually started waking up because we always did pool time at the beginning of the day to swim laps but I got more energy and so when it became recess time I went to go play, but she said no. No. No. Where are you going? You're not allowed to play because you're too tired and so I sat there for almost 2 hours. Maybe even three just sitting there halfway through. She asked if I wanted to play, and I said no on accident so I was like wait. Actually, yes I do but she ignored me. Even when I called out her name. According to my dad. Every time I was dropped off. She rolled her eyes and gave my dad a glare, and after she had ignored me, she started laughing with her coworkers, like nothing happened. The other teachers were nice. I think there is one other lady that didn't like me, but she didn't actually talk to me at all. But yeah, they were just laughing at me. This school was amazing to go to. It would be way better if they had better staff choices. I went to that school 2016 through 2018. I had this one friend that I don't know what happened to. We used to always stay up during naptime because we weren't tired and make funny faces at each other. I had this friend named Sammy. We would always go out Theresas and play construction and according to my mom, I was friends with this one little girl too. I don't remember her name or her in general. But she was apparently a really good friend.

They offered such a safe and nurturing environment for her to grow and the play based curriculum kept her engaged and happy while prepared her fully for kindergarten. Her teachers were so great and their love for the kids really showed. They sent pictures daily so I was able to see all the fun activities they did during the day. I also loved the outdoor space this preschool has which is unique to any other I have seen. The class was able to go on nature walks and do many activities outside, including lots of picnics which I just love. I also loved the parent involvement aspect too. As a parent I always felt welcome in the classroom and loved volunteering and seeing the magic firsthand. I HIGHLY recommend this preschool!

Same week we received an email about a gas leak, followed by reports that police were called because an unknown man was outside the facility taking photos. There was also a ceiling leak. We would not recommend this daycare to anyone. If you're even considering it, insist on a trial period before committing to anything financially

The school would not allow his ABA therapist to attend with him, and conversations consistently focused on limitations rather than collaboration or accommodation. Based on our experience, the program appears designed for children who already fit a narrow profile, leaving little room for those who need support. We ultimately chose a school that welcomes our child, works with his providers, and supports his growth--and that decision has made a significant difference.

The teacher also didn't seem to discipline a kid who kept pushing the other kids on the playground, as it never got resolved. drop off/pickup is a NIGHTMARE. the preschool parents have to work around the regular school pickup/drop off. they won't let you park to pick up your kid if the school is still doing elementary pickup, even if theyre super late and it's preschool pickup time. but yet I'd you're late on other days you have to pay a fee. they have no care for parents schedules. the preschool does not follow rules/guidelines by health department in regards to masks. One good thing, at least in my daughters class, there was a lot of diversity of students!

From the point of first contact with the director Brooke until my son's last day, I couldn't have been more pleased. Brooke is an absolute treasure and her warm and attentive demeanor permeates the school. All that to say... my son had an AMAZING time at JECC this summer, and I am eternally grateful to Ms Scout, Ms Jocelyn and Ms Brooke for that. I highly recommend this school for your little ones!

Had a great experience in 2 different classrooms here with excellent teachers, but then my child…read moregot to preschool and the teachers were non communicative and the classroom was extremely chaotic and felt understaffed and disorganized. My child no longer wanted to go there each morning, and a new administrator (that had just started working there a very short time ago) made it clear that she had no interest in getting to know or work with families, or in figuring out how to help children feel comfortable and succeed in their environment (or maybe she didn't have the skills or tools to actually know how to do this, but either way it was unacceptable). Administrative turnover is common (3 times in under 2 years). Way too expensive for these types of issues and we are happy to have found another setting that actually communicates proactively and runs smoothly with caring teachers.

We…read morestarted in the Nido room with Miss Julie as the lead teacher in October 2020 when son #2 was three months old. He was there for 11 short weeks and my experience here with the teacher and the program was terrible. I can not recommend this school, teacher or program to anyone looking for a Montessori program. Just for some context, Child #1 was enrolled in a Montessori program from 16 months to 4 years. My child's needs were not meant at any point while he attended this school and he would cry at the center most days. When I would pick him up, he was very upset. I completely feel that he was neglected most days (because he would cry all day and no one wanted to deal with him). The teacher would never follow his cues and would never get down and play with any of the babies. It did not seem like the lead teacher enjoyed being with the babies at any point. The lead teacher wanted all the babies to follow the same schedule and became very stressed and overwhelmed if they were not on a the same set schedule daily. When I was approached by the teacher about his excessive crying after about 5 weeks, I was told that he "needed to be checked out by a dr for acid reflex because he is so upset." He was evaluated by two drs and he was NEVER diagnosed with any health issues. He would never show signs of acid reflex at home. I have a ton of regret that I didn't pull the baby out of this day care earlier. It was a terrible environment, not nurturing or fostering in his development. I also feel like he was behind on some development milestones because no one worked with him on tummy time or practicing rolling over because they didn't want to deal with him. He is currently at a different Montessori day care and all these "issues" that the baby had at this school have failed to show up in a different program around other teachers and staff. I feel compelled to let other parents know about my experience; as I realize that after my feedback to the school about my experience in this room, no changes have been made. If you have a baby that requires a bit more attention, likes to be held and nurtured, this may not be a good fit.
