My three-year-old really liked going, and when we needed to pull out last minute due to a death in the family they were very accommodating. I 100% do NOT recommend this preschool simply because of the director Terra. My 4 year old son who is now 5 started going to RMP last year around October(2025). My ex husband had my son start going here while I moved to Colorado so him and his wife interacted with Terra at first. When I was finally able to move here in December of 2025 and have my son move back in with me, I was told that Terra has terrible communication skills and that she will either get back to you when she wants or not at all. I've been working as a preschool teacher for over 10 years so I thought that had to be ridiculous. There is no way a director can act like that. Earlier this year she wanted to have a meeting with me about my son and his behavior. I was thrilled because I haven't really had to communicate with her much and my son has been going through so much and putting his teachers through a lot. I was more than willing to talk it out and we did. I ended up getting him tested and he was diagnosed with autism. So as I was told by my son's new therapist I sent Terra two emails about coming up with a plan for him to help him and the teachers out. Crickets from her. But if I wrote her about another subject not pertaining to my son's autism she would reply back the same day. In May of this year I decided to pull him out of the school. And guess what? She replied extremely fast when it came to withdrawaling my son's enrollment. I'm also not a big fan of them not reporting everytime they lose a child or I guess I should say everytime they misplaced a child. They got caught earlier this year with a child wondering around in their parking lot but I know about the kids who got locked out in the playground or left in the bathroom this year. Again, because I've been a preschool teacher for so long these HAVE to get reported. Something has to be done. But instead I guess Terra decides to sweep it under the rug. I think that's BS and actually scary because you never know if it could be your child next. On the plus side, my son adores his two teachers that he has right now and I'm so sad to have to take him away from them but I can not deal with Terra and her lack of professionalism. My son's two teachers are the only reason I added an extra star to the review. When it comes to my child I need clear and concise communication which I have not been getting. Yikes. I feel compelled to review this preschool after touring last week. My expectations were high based on the marketing from their website. Now I am wondering if all the 5 star reviews are fake. Unfortunately, I feel completely misled. Instead of being a beautiful outdoor education program, what I witnessed made me wonder how the state could even qualify them for Colorado Shines. Let's suffice it to say that the facility is filthy, the "teachers" were either yelling and looking angry and exhausted or ignoring the small kids. Most of the kids weren't even outside in the teeny tiny play area in the midst of the strip mall. Around every turn I heard screaming and crying from generally unhappy kids who were not receiving any instruction or engagement but rather being ignored. To me the whole place smelled like pee. Also, when I arrived for my appointment to tour, I had to wait around till someone with a child there finally let me in. The center had all my information wrong and they thought I was having a baby in two months when I am not even expecting - I have a 4 and 2 year old (insulting?!). Then I was rushed through the tour by a completely disinterested employee. I had to ask for their prices, but after seeing the place I wouldn't want my kids there even if it was free. For the price, would you want your kids being either ignored or yelled at? Now I get to deal with endless email spam from them asking when I'm enrolling. The whole experience was a waste of time, but honestly I mostly just feel badly for the kids who go there and I would urge others to look elsewhere. read more

After finally finding a place i felt would be good for my daughter I ended up facing discrimination either based on my source of payment or race. I toured the facility today the male owner asked me questions including where my child came from and how i would be paying. She spent about a month and a half at the learning experience before they closed. We had no issues. All of this was known before the tour I was told great. Proceeded with the tour, taken to my childs room and met the teacher. Was told she would be able to start as soon as ccap processes everything and then they would send me a list of what i needed. About an hour or so after leaving I received a text saying my daughter cant enroll in their program Because of her history at TLE. We have no history it closed soon after we got there. My messages trying to see why were ignored and I was informed they can't discriminate against me. Sadly, a place I was really excited for my daughter to start I now will be filing a formal discrimination complaint with the state and licensing. My son went to RMP from 6mo to 5 years old. There were a number of teachers that were just fantastic and so wonderful! My son still has happy memories of his time there! The director though... Jessica. I reached out to the center after I left my abusive marriage and was needing a reference for my custody proceedings. I begged Jessica and her assistant to remember issues they had with my ex husband (lashing out at teachers) and speak out for me and my son! She completely disregarded me and bought in to my ex husbands lies. The woman showed zero compassion and treated me like I was the abuser! I was absolutely horrified with the way she handled the entire situation. So beware!! If you have to flee an abuser, don't count on this daycare to believe you or support you. read more

After months of delays with little notice or communication from RMP- it finally opened May 15th, it was supposed to open in January - I get delays happen but the communication was awful. I have yet to get an email about his first day and his first day was yesterday. I, unlike the owners of RMP, have empathy and compassion. I was willing to overlook these red flags, and chalked it up to bad planning and management. Gifted children, children with autism, special needs or just a toddler having a bad day can be challenging for any teacher. So let me preface with this- our son struggles with new environments, and transitions (transitioning from play to nap time) can be very challenging in a new environment. He had a VERY bad tantrum when transitioning to nap time his first day, he was kicking, hitting and spitting. These anxiety and fear based behaviors are not acceptable but they are all a child knows when they can't verbalize how they are feeling. But to hear that son had a tantrum for an hour in the classroom and he wasn't removed is absurd. It's pretty standard to remove the child from the environment to reset when they are having a meltdown. So I was confused that he was in the classroom when I picked him up early with two teachers and the girl at the front desk all standing over him while all the other children were sitting in their cots staring at him. I was approached by the co-owner? He never introduced himself but he is the son of the owner. My child is in your care - I am paying you and entrusting my son's health and well-being with you and you don't introduce yourself? Wait til I get to his mother He proceeded to ask me with the classroom door open, with teachers AND children who can hear, if my son had ever been tested. Incredibly unprofessional. He was agitated and told me that he can't have teachers quitting because of my son. WOW. No empathy, no compassion - makes me question the experience of the teachers if they are so fickle to leave after a toddler tantrum.I told him it's best to remove the child from their environment so they can reset. He responded with, we can't have him leave every time he has a tantrum. I left humiliated because, as any parent with a child who is gifted or on the spectrum knows, it is HARD to navigate. The encounter had me upset but I was determined to turn a bad day into a good experience. I printed off pamphlets for the front desk and teachers with some intervention techniques that work for him. When my husband and I sat with the teacher this morning we got a nice smile and nod but nothing else. My son came from a preschool where the teacher gave us ideas, and different things to try(His old teacher was collaborative and you can tell she had experience with children of different backgrounds). It was just another red flag. I left my son in his class and we walked to the front desk to give the other pamphlet to the front desk. The girl at the front desk, Audrey- who has been very sweet and very helpful- was speaking to another parent. But another woman was there and said she could help us. I had no idea she was the owner. No greeting, no smile, no introduction. She looked miserable, had the look of disdain on her face. It really caught me and my husband off guard. Shouldn't the owner of a small business be happy to meet her "customers" and introduce herself? I nervously told her that with his gifted nature things like transitions are hard, especially in a new environment. She gave us nothing. No words of encourage, no compassion, no empathy. She told us, if he's going to be this way that the classrooms are only going to get bigger- WOW. I was shocked. COLD AS ICE. I came back with my husband an hour later and talked to the son of owner. Told him that we will be disenrolling our son immediately. If the OWNERS don't have empathy and compassion when speaking to parents then they won't with a child. Please read the other bad reviews before putting your child here, I wish I had. And as always- listen to your gut when it comes to your babies! read more

My grandson went to Rocky Mountain preschool at Willow Creek full-time for several months. During this time we questioned the quality (or lack of) of learning at a pre-K level, the moodiness and behavior when we picked him up, the lack of projects or papers that were brought home, and the lack of communication from staff. Furthermore, he'd come home and say the kids were mean. We witnessed this a couple of times, and nothing was said by the teacher. The behavior is fairly normal, but kids need to be guided about behaving kindly, and not ignored. Rocky Mountain advertises cleanliness, art, music, science, show & tell, etc. but that's not the case. The classroom was sometimes dirty from the day before, a posted curriculum was never available. security was also lacking as the last few times I picked up my grandson. My access code on my phone was not working, and I rang the doorbell, and was given access to the facility without anybody checking who I was, or even acknowledging that someone in. Fast forward a month and a public school pre-K program only three hours, 3 to 4 days a week and my grandson is happy, excited to go to school every day, is singing and humming. And he's bringing home projects every day, he's writing his letters, and even adding and subtracting. He's finally excited to be learning and playing nicely with others. A completely different little boy from the very first day at a public school half day pre-k program. I can't fault Rocky Mountain 100% because it's probably a good facility for a daycare, but clearly not suitable to prepare our kids and get them ready for kindergarten. I started taking my two kiddos here a year ago. They both love going to school. It's been amazing to see all the things they've learned. My favorite part as a parent is the communications I get throughout the day about the kids. I feel like this lets me be involved in their learning experience even when I'm at work. read more

My son has been going to Rocky Mountain Preschool fka. Busy Little Hands, full time since he was 18 months old. We trust the staff and the teachers with our child, best of all, he absolutely loves going to RMP. The teachers are caring and attentive. The owners are responsive and courteous. We had a very bad experience at a previous childcare center so I know full well the warning signs to look out for. This establishment has never proven us wrong. We are looking forward to seeing our son move on to Kindergarten this year, although it will be bittersweet leaving this place behind. read more

Our daughter was just hurt so badly that she needed to go to the E.R. We tried to go in to look at the video but I guess all the video in the building does not work. After 2.5 years with them and not being in the owners "good graces" any longer boy how did things change. When I was struggling with behavior and asked for help, I was treated so bad. Felt unwelcome and unwanted. Moved rooms to help then and felt like I was punished because I wasn't getting the results they wanted. Then when I get sick with COVID they wouldn't talk to me, took over a week for the owner to check on me after she found out I was in the hospital she asked if I was ok. After my experience at this center it has left me drained and defeated, and I have been unable to go back in childcare. read more
