I 100% do NOT recommend this preschool simply because of the director Terra. My 4 year old son who…read moreis now 5 started going to RMP last year around October(2025). My ex husband had my son start going here while I moved to Colorado so him and his wife interacted with Terra at first. When I was finally able to move here in December of 2025 and have my son move back in with me, I was told that Terra has terrible communication skills and that she will either get back to you when she wants or not at all. I've been working as a preschool teacher for over 10 years so I thought that had to be ridiculous. There is no way a director can act like that. Earlier this year she wanted to have a meeting with me about my son and his behavior. I was thrilled because I haven't really had to communicate with her much and my son has been going through so much and putting his teachers through a lot. I was more than willing to talk it out and we did. I ended up getting him tested and he was diagnosed with autism. So as I was told by my son's new therapist I sent Terra two emails about coming up with a plan for him to help him and the teachers out. Crickets from her. But if I wrote her about another subject not pertaining to my son's autism she would reply back the same day. In May of this year I decided to pull him out of the school. And guess what? She replied extremely fast when it came to withdrawaling my son's enrollment. I'm also not a big fan of them not reporting everytime they lose a child or I guess I should say everytime they misplaced a child. They got caught earlier this year with a child wondering around in their parking lot but I know about the kids who got locked out in the playground or left in the bathroom this year. Again, because I've been a preschool teacher for so long these HAVE to get reported. Something has to be done. But instead I guess Terra decides to sweep it under the rug. I think that's BS and actually scary because you never know if it could be your child next. On the plus side, my son adores his two teachers that he has right now and I'm so sad to have to take him away from them but I can not deal with Terra and her lack of professionalism. My son's two teachers are the only reason I added an extra star to the review. When it comes to my child I need clear and concise communication which I have not been getting. On the recommendation of a coworker, I toured and was amazed at the quality of care they give here. My oldest began attending at 13 months, and just recently started kindergarten. His brothers have been attending since 7 months and are now 2 years old. They will attend until they begin kindergarten, as well. Our experience here has been nothing short of wonderful. All the staff knows us by name, even teachers who don't have my kiddos in their rooms. I know my kids are safe and well-taken care of. They love being dropped off and greet their teachers with big hugs every morning. All the staff loves on each and every kid like they are their own, and the curriculum - WOW! My oldest is already reading and performing at 1-2nd grade levels in math & science. Both my 2 year olds (JUST turned 2!) know their shapes, colors, letters - and one of my twins can count to 17 already. The teachers here TEACH - they aren't just watching your kids. We've loved this place and plan to have my oldest return for summer camp, and the twins will stay until they are ready for elementary.

We left Goddard only because we choose to move to a new state to be closer to family. This team was more than daycare providers they were advocates, friends and supporters for us during our time at the school. Our son started as an infant and we had no idea what we would experience over our time at Goddard. While at the school our son was diagnosed with a rare condition that causes him to be legally blind as well as being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. For a parent with a child with special needs you have a fear that your child will be treated differently, or poorly because it maybe more difficult to care for him. This school not only ensure we didn't have that fear while he was there but they were a huge advocate for what he needed. His teachers in the beginning brought up concerns or thing they were seeing to see if we were also seeing the same thing at home. They were actively engaged with his Development, and were constantly asking what they could be doing in the classroom to help him. Our doctors were always complementing how supportive the school was on his development and reminding us that not everyone is like that. For us, this staff was a god sent in a very difficult time. The staff shared in the highs and lows. This team was and is not just simply a daycare, they were family. Along the way it was not easy and we had to work together to find solutions, but we always did. I miss dropping our son off there everyday. He was so very happy at the school. Everyday he would get a big smile on his face and so excited to go to his class. He very rarely cried when I left him, but if he did by the time I walked away he was done. He LOVED his ladies and we did also. If you are looking for a school to support your child through their development you have found your school. I am VERY critical person and they exceeded my expectations ever step of the way.

My wife and I both work full time, so consequently our daughter had to start attending when she was first eligible, almost right at the 3 month mark. We were both uneasy about this early transition, my wife especially. She was extremely emotional the first day, which of course is normal. We both agree that the next day and each day following was much easier to drop her off, and this was directly related to the staff at Smart Bear. Ms. Sarah and Ms. Amanda really did bond quickly with our daughter and it was apparent how much they do care for all of the kids in their classroom. The two of them are absolutely top notch and we are so thankful to have found them. Our daughter has since graduated from the infant room, and again we were uneasy with the early transition. And again, Ms. Sarah jumped in to make sure we didn't feel that way for more than a day. She is constantly checking on our daughter in her new classroom, commonly holding her when we arrive to pick her up and giving us updates. As a result, our daughter has adjusted well and quickly to the change. She has started walking more, using sign language more, and talking more; since she gets to hang out and compete with the older kids. Everything thus far with Smart Bear has really been an excellent experience. This is coming from someone who can be fairly critical of businesses, as you can confirm by digging through some of my other Yelp reviews. When you find a gem of a school like Willows on Quebec, it's the best feeling as a parent, and for your kids. My daughter jumps for joy as she walks in her classroom. But he's already on the list!
